I have been using Smith's Jeweler's for years now and the people are absolutely great. My most memorable experience was having a gold chain repaired. The chain had broken several times. The owner took special care of the chain and repaired it. The chain lasted for years but unfortunately, broke again because of my fault. I also took several watches to have batteries replaced and there was one he couldn't replace the battery in. He never charged me for anything he couldn't repair or replace. Resized my ring and had prongs reinforced. Asked to examine the diamond when picking up. She made the comment that if I didn't trust their company I could go somewhere else. I was taught to always examine my diamond after service. I apologized and said it was good customer service to teach people how to protect their diamonds. She said they have cameras that keep their jewelers honest. Isn't that what I was doing by inspecting my own ring? I was calm, polite and tried to help them understand why it was wrong to make that comment but the people sitting behind her dismissed me by saying "goodbye, have a good day"By the way she so quickly jumped to that remark tells me they are comfortable talking rudely to their customers. If she didn't want me to inspect the diamond, why did she show me a drawn diagram of the markings in my diamond when I dropped it off? I can't see that with the naked eye, but only under the microscope they have there. read more

I love unique jewelry so I was very excited to see the beautiful peony necklace on the Peony Festival page. It was specially made by Galatea just for the festival! He has other flowers, but he did the peony and I guess he loved it was unique. There were three, pink, white, and yellow. I tried to talk myself out of getting it, but the color comes from the opal inside, it's a reflection! Opal is my birth stone, so this really excited me. There is also a small diamond. The store is small, but they had a lot of very beautiful jewelry. I enjoyed looking while we waited. Smith's was one of the stops on the brunch trail so it was a bit busy. But I loved seeing all the beautiful pieces! Everyone was super helpful and I love my new necklace. My phone was down to 1% so I only snapped the one photo. I also waited to get back to the car to plug in and check into the 3 shops we went into and learned my lesson, there is a 20% off for checking in! I did get 10% off for the festival special, but of course the one time I kill my battery taking too many flower photos. read more

The store is under new ownership and management as of mid of 2020, yes the previous owners ran a going out of business sale for an extended period of time before the current owners purchased the store and made some changes. The new owner's, the Hyser (sp) family, has made many changes and it is truly a family business with three generations working the day my wife and I picked-up a piece of custom jewelry they made for my wife. On 7/18/20 my wife went to Smith's with several pieces of old jewelry that she no longer wore and asked to have a earrings and a pendant made from the stones. On 10/17/20 we picked-up three pieces of beautiful jewelry; 2 earrings and one pendant created from the old jewelry she no longer wore. From initial design to finished product we were kept informed of the progress of the pieces. We cannot say enough about how pleased we are with the experience. Noblesville is blessed to have an independent, family owned jewelry store of this quality. We highly recommend supporting this truly family run business. read more

I called and asked about having jewelry repaired. They told me they could do anything. I was treated as if I had crawled out from under a rock when I arrived. A sweet young girl initially waited on me, but was replaced by snooty woman. She announced loudly I had costume jewelry. It was real silver, real turquoise, a Citizen's watch, etc. Maybe the broken bracelet that belonged to my dead mother wasn't valuable to her, but it was priceless to me. They could not fix either of my two bracelets. My watch which my husband gave me for our wedding was ridiculed and I was told it wasn't worth fixing because it was too old. The only thing that did get fixed was a strap for my husband's watch. Even then, the assistant led me away from the watch band she thought was too expensive for me. So much for trying to support local businesses. read more

I took my wedding and engagement ring in to have it rhodium plated yet there were some ideas I had that on top of that what I can do to spiff up my wedding and engagement ring (being over ten years old). I can't even begin to tell you how DYNAMIC my ring looks after the craftsmanship of their team! The jewelry metalsmith is clearly in his element and is extremely talented. Sorry to stereotype here but I'm taking high end design like you'd see in BIG cities not around the corner in small town Indiana, okay?! Really??!! Yes!!! Yet here's the real magic... I can still "see' my initial set so it hasn't lost its initial look but they can make it stand tall! Wow! I told them it looked like they dipped my rings into the Fountain of Youth! I was greeted professionally and was even given a tour of the entire premises. This is a top notch jeweler and is actually 1 out of 50 in the entire US granted the title of "master". I recently stopped into Smith's to inquire about resizing a ring that I had inherited when my mother passed. I was approached by a younger blonde woman who looked at the ring and sized my finger. I was told that the ring would cost $75 to be resized a full size. When my reaction was surprise (because I have had rings resized there in the past for less, regardless of what they tried to argue VERY LOUDLY), she as well as the other lady behind the counter acted very offended, telling me that I would not be able to resize it for less anywhere else. I found through Yelp another jewelry store in Westfield, was greeted with a much friendlier reception, and have had it resized there for $45. I am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism that I encountered while at Smith's and will not be back. Reading the reviews, I noticed that I am not the only one who has had such an experience. The service here was excellent. I brought in 13 diamonds that were a gift from my mother for my wedding. They were able to help me pick out a setting for them to be custom set. When I got the rings, they were gorgeous and better than I could have ever imagined. They spent over an hour with me helping me figure out exactly what I wanted.
