Not a place for men. My wife goes here frequently and occasionally I will have a Mani/ Petty with her. The quality of the technician that I have had has been substandard. I don't believe they think males will be as discriminating as females and the quality of work performed and thus you get the less capable technician. It doesn't help that they are always on their earbuds talking to someone else while working on you. I'm a 30% cash tipper in spite of poor quality. My wife always seems to be satisfied. Today I had a 1 PM appointment with my wife and finally walked out at 1:30 PM without having been attended to while every female who walked in with an appointment was immediately attended to. read more

But then I moved to Bonita and began going to other places in Bonita and Naples, and I came back to Gel Nails!! I can to Gel Nail Spa with my Mom and Grandma for mani pedis. And admittedly, we were a half hour late. We called and let them know and they moved some things around to squeeze us in. They were so nice about it, too. From start to finish, their service was great. The massage with the standard pedicure was awesome, I really enjoyed that part of the experience. The person doing my nails cleaned up my cuticles carefully and asked if I was comfortable. It didn't even hurt. That's not the norm at other nail salons. The employees were kind and hospitable. My Grandma was even chatting with one of the employees, and seemed to really enjoy the conversation. The whole vibe was just really great. My experience was positive overall! I had a full set completed using acrylic on November 10th. It's been 14 days and I'm experiencing contact dermatitis. I didn't have any issues with my skin peeling until I got this set done. So I'm unsure whether it's from the acrylic being used or the utensils not being cleaned properly. I've been to this spa at least three times but this is my first time getting a new set. Update,after Lee gave me the ugliest and most expensive manicure,my nails are totally ruined. She filed deep horizontal grooves into all my nails.Manicure started chipping and nails fell off within days. Did I mention it was also the ugliest manicure,she had multiple,many interruptions while doing my nails and charged me a premium price. As a paying customer I deserve undivided attention and a dip manicure that lasts more than a few days. I am livid as she first of all is very unprofessional and has no idea how to do nails.Does this woman have a license?If she does it should be revoked. Nails chipped during my entire vacation and then fell off. For some reason whenever I was at gel nail spa previously,she would either take over or do part if my nail service.She never did a good job,but this time she outdid herself. This woman ruined my vacation and my nails,they are breaking off and splitting like never before.Doubtful that I can even have acrylics or anything done due to the very deep grooves she filed into the nail bed. I had an appointment made for 5:30pm and arrived for my scheduled time and was told to be seated and someone will be right with us and after waiting 30 MINUTES with no update i asked when someone will be with us and i got no response then i waited a little longer and was told someone would be right over but there was no movement towards us and everyone else was not close to finish with their clients. the owner was very rude and didn't try to do anything to make it right. so we told him we were leaving. in response to that care in the world came from him nor remorse. Three days after my pedicure the polish chipped on my big toe (I don't even know how it happened) and three weeks later more polish is chipping and it looks like I need a new pedicure entirely. I love this place! It is the ONLY place I will get my nails and eyebrows done. They remember each customer, chat with you, make you laugh, and their work is amazing. I always go in with a picture of what I want and they always go above and beyond. The shop is super, super clean, and very nicely decorated. They have a large variety of polishes and powders and also do a good job making sure you get the right products - since coming here my nails have grown long and healthy that I don't need tips anymore. They cater to each customers needs and make sure you're satisfied and happy with what you get done and their work is long lasting. They also have a cool rewards program. I made an appointment for a no chip manicure earlier in the day and arrived 10 minutes early. They sat me down and I asked to see the color choices. They told me to just sit down and they'd bring them to me in a few minutes. Technician 1 came to me & gave me color choices and started to get my nails soaking in acetone to remove my current polish. As I'm sitting there I'm looking around and technician 2 tells me I need to wait a few more minutes (I didn't ask how much longer or anything). This happened a few more times where technician 2 kept telling me to wait and it was a rude tone she was using with me. She then came over to remove the current polish and then walks away. In steps technician 3 who polished my nails for me. I had THREE different people working on my nails. Then as I'm sitting there I hear the technicians talking to other patrons about beer and wine they have there. I was not offered any of these, but these patrons were. I'm not sure why since I'm of legal age and I look like it. Needless to say I will not be going back to this place after the experience I had. read more

I was looking for a new nail spot now that I'm working remotely; Gel Nail Spa was the only nail salon above 3.5 stars and now that I've been I know it's well deserved! Very clean and tidy, prompt - I didn't wait a second when I arrived for my appointment. Jasmine did a powder dip manicure and she's amazing. She's quick and efficient but super detailed! One of my pet peeves about manicures is when the polish doesn't go all the way to the cuticle or the bottom polish line is ragged and Jasmine made sure to make every single nail as perfect as possible. HORRIBLE Experience. I went in to get my nails done and I asked for Ombré. My existing nails were all crooked and uneven. The nail technician used my own nails and did a process I have never seen before. My mom and I have been coming here for years. They didn't even offer to put tips on my nails to make them even. So now I am left with CROOKED and UNEVEN nails that look terrible. When the manager / owner came over she DIDN'T EVEN OFFER TO FIX MY NAILS!! You just lost a loyal good paying customer and I will never go back. The nail tech rushed and my nails look TERRIBLE. If you do go here make sure you ASK the price before committing to anything because I am beyond upset at what my nails look like and I work with the public who see my nails everyday. I am a seasonal owner in Paseo and was looking for a good nail salon that does dip powder. The salon next to Publix on Fiddlesticks is not good and so I checked out Yelp reviews. They are spot on. The salon is great - nice decor, very clean and polite, helpful nail texhs. My tech did a sample of each of two colors I was considering on a plastic nail tip so I could see the true color prior to selecting. I received excellence service and my nails look great. At $35, the price was quite good. They have a rewards program as well so you can earn points on future visits. I definitely recommend and plan to return as often as I can. read more
