Last night's event at Profiles Downtown was wonderful! It was inspiring to see so many talented women entrepreneurs come together, share their businesses, and connect with the community. I was especially happy to see my friend Jeny Lee attend and take advantage of the special vendor opportunity. Events like this highlight the importance of supporting one another and building strong local connections. I wanted to find a place closer to my house for pedicures and I was very pleasantly surprised with this place! They seem cleaner than other salons I've been to. They also don't have those nasty jets that just push bacteria around. They do the polish first and then the soaking. They were gentle on my nails and I left very satisfied! read more

I always wanted to try this place and this past week finally made it a point to go there and get gel manicure. Spent 1.5 hrs just to get a low quality gel manicure done! The day after my manicure, I received several comments on how my nail polish looked old and bumpy ( yes bumpy due to low quality or maybe old nail polish that they used )! Cuticles weren't cut and my nail barely have a shape with super sharp edges that cut my own hand! Very disappointed. Would appreciate getting my money back to go to a good nail place. And I spent $36 vs. $25 at other places. read more

Way over priced for what you get - gel mani pedi for $85, no massage, uncomfortable and dirty chairs, dirty looking towels, dirty surfaces everywhere - they seat you right next to others when there are open socially distanced spots available - nobody working there wearing mask, manicure tables were filthy with the dust from other people's manicures - and they do everything in reverse order - file and paint your toenails prior to giving you the actual pedicure - end result is that you look like there is already already 5 days of growing out (polish does not go to the cuticle). Go elsewhere - definitely not worth the price. Felt totally ripped off. read more

OK to begin with my nails look like slivered almonds that were so thick I couldn't even scratch in it, I went to get a pedicure and they do your nails first and then do your feet in the wash is what you want to call it totally ass backwards and I like to get gems put on my toes so besides the fact that they cost $10 per itty-bitty stone as if I would pay that much but if I did why would I want you to then soak my feet in hot water so they could fall off faster? What a rip off I actually ended up telling the lady forget it after she painted my nails which was just plain white because I use beads/gems. Could you imagine how much that would cost if I would've just gotten five stones on each foot on top of the pedicure on top of it it's just ridiculously overpriced and the staff are stuck up and snotty with the exception of one or two and I felt sorry for those ones having to go work with the other ones is the all just sit around and talk shit. Do NOT GO HERE! Yes, I realize it's convenient if you're staying in town and it's in the middle of all the cute shops and great restaurants, but DON'T waste your money. I had the worst pedicure of my life, that lasted less than a day, because the nail tech did a paraffin treatment on my feet and then went straight to polishing. She never cleaned the wax residue off my toes. Because of this, they never dried properly. When I questioned her about this as it was happening, she dismissed me. I sat there so upset. I wish I had time to come back for a refund. I feel robbed. read more

Terrible manicure. I walked in Tuesday afternoon before Thanksgiving at 4 p.m. and saw about 3 manicurists just sitting around (another 3-4 had customers)...but still...that many without anything to do during the week of a major holiday should have been my first clue. Anyway, they get me in immediately for a regular manicure. I go to select my color and discover that this salon does not carry Essie or OPI regular polish. That should have been my second clue...but I ignore my gut, select a red by the brand "Caption" (more on this in a minute) and sit down for my mani. A mani should take 1/2 an hour...maximum 40 minutes. It took 50 minutes to do my manicure which consisted of: removing old polish from near the cuticle (I'd removed most all of the polish a couple of days earlier), pushing back the cuticle, cutting, filing and buffing my nails, and putting lotion on my hands. That's it. No cuticle nipping, no soaking my hands. Fifty minutes. I don't know if she was inexperienced or what, but that's way too long for a simple manicure (I'm not talking gel or acrylic...just a plain ole manicure). Anyway, I ask her to charge my card before polishing and she comes back with my receipt for $26. I've never in my life paid $26 for a manicure. I pay $37 for a mani/pedi in Miami, so this price for a mani is ridiculous and I made it known to my manicurist and the young lady that charged my card that $26 for a manicure is a rip off. (I take full responsibility for not having asked how much their manicures were before sitting down. Had I asked, I would not have stayed). Anyway, 50 minutes later, I leave. I'm thinking, okay, not the fastest or cheapest, but my nails are painted in time for Thanksgiving....live and learn an expensive lesson, but fine. Well, not fine... Five hours later back at home in Miami, I'm removing my eye make-up and notice that my middle finger on my right hand is completely missing the polish. Like gone. Completely. Without a trace. And I start to think "sh8t, I'm losing my mind. Did she paint my middle finger?" I search my house for the paint chip, but can't find it. I hop into bed a few minutes later, and notice that ANOTHER finger has the polish completely lifting off of it in one complete piece. in just 3 minutes, I pull every single paint chip off of each finger. Well, the next morning I call to complain and ask that they refund my card. I leave a message. It's Monday after Thanksgiving, and no response. So I've disputed it through my bank and will be receiving a credit for it. Not sure what my fellow Yelpers are thinking by giving these people 4 stars. These people are terrible for regular manicures and I would definitely not recommend them at all. read more

I started going to Profiles about 5 months ago and absolutely love it. It's clean and professional and you can get any style without complications. I have a regular manicurist, Dakota, but have seen other girls there too who all do a good job. I've never walked out disappointed especially since they are reasonably priced. I drive 45 minutes just to go to this salon and would recommend it to any, and everyone. read more

Mediocre manicure at double the price of anywhere else I've been to in Fort Myers in the last 17 years.

This was the second time I went in and the first time the whole nail wasn't covered with polish ok job. Second time I went in I was rushed and told I was late. she was rude. I understand there are other customers but I was told there were more appts after me. nobody showed up after 10 min of the end of my appt. my friend was still there 30 min later and said she had nobody after had the same lady from before and she was rude. im going there to get my nails done. I shouldn't be rushed and treated like I was making them run behind. I will not be seeing that woman again. yes I was late but im still a returning customer. the nail polish job wasn't done well either. please don't treat me like a criminal. I can't help season traffic. read more

Horrible! Nanna cut my toenails to the quick (they are painful) and look horrible. She pulled nail tools from a personal bag and kept sitting them on the floor. She tried to use a grater instead of a pumise stone (that is illegal). I still had sock fuzz in the corner of my nails when she said she was done with the pedicure. They didn't have a good selection of colors and none of the Christmas season colors in any brand they carried. If you want to potentially have a fungal infection and have a horrible not relaxing experience go here! Oh and she was 20 minutes late for my appointment. read more

I've been to this location once. Our boss was treating us to a night of nails! I absolutely loved the look of the salon, and everyone was friendly. The way they do acrylic nails was really impressive. I loved mine. I would go back again and again, but Fort Meyers is about an hour and 20 minutes away from where I'm located, and its the closest one. I would love if they would open up a Profiles in Sarasota Fl, I know that locaton would have nothing but success.Atleast consider it!! :) read more

I wholeheartedly recommend this salon. When we accidentally scheduled our bridal party for the wrong day and showed up a day early, the owner was SO accommodating and generous. We were fit in immediately and even served drinks!! The girls who did our nails were all FANTASTIC and everyone loved what they got!! read more

Unprofessional business. They updated their scheduling system and their booked appointments did not get entered into their new system. We made our appointments over a month ago. My sister and I drive over an hour just to go to this place, and when we arrive, they tell us we don't have appointments... Thank goodness we both still have the appointment cards they gave us clearly showing today's date and current time. They offered us ten dollars off for next weekend, which is no help to us today. Turned us away. We will not be returning ever, and that's an easy $200 a month for mani/pedi they are now losing. Ever heard of backing up your system? They can do anything here and have a huge selection of colors and choices . I did get quite a while out of my nails although I found t a little expensive . I have been going to this location for sometime now. Loved the location and the service had always been great but recently it has gone severely down hill. I always got a Shellac/gel manicure and regular polish pedicure and had no problem with it lasting well past their "guaranteed time" but this last visit I had my toe polish basically peel off in a week. And my nails were lifting so badly after just over a week. I called because it's not the cheapest place and I figured since I'm a customer who has been there many times over the course of the years they would be extra understanding... well I got the total opposite. I spoke with the manager and she made me feel horrible. She actually said to me that many people try to take advantage of them and am I sure I didn't just go swimming a lot the last few days? Basically called me a liar. I assured her that was not the instance, and I was just used to their product lasting and was shocked this was happening. She said I could come in and hung up. When I arrived they said they would not redo my nails (even though I was well within their guaranteed time period) and also accused me off picking my nails off... and again brought up swimming and the beach and how it could weaken the gel. I again told her no I hadn't done any of those things and reminded her it had barely been 2 weeks since I had them done. She told me they could "patch up" my nails that were peeled off. The patch work they did on my nails was terrible! I should have just soaked them off and never come back in because it was a waste of their and my time. And being in there presence and all the nail techs glaring at me made me feel even worse. I wasn't even going to ask about my pedicure because she made me feel so horrible about my nails it just wasn't worth it. This is a place I am so sad to leave because I truly loved it, but between the price ( it was $75 for the mani/pedi) and the poor product, really don't know what happened to them to make it change so much. And then the cherry on top the truly appalling customer service. I can get my nails done at a regular salon for half the price someone else. You can guarantee I will never be back. read more

First off, if I could give this Profiles location less than one star, I would. The most unprofessional staff I've ever met. I was a regular because this place was the closest to me but almost every time I'd make an appointment with someone I would get another nail tech. Worst part of all is how much the techs gossip, and when I found out that from a number of people that they complained about my anal-ness I decided enough was enough. "I need to get stoned before she comes in" to other customers. I'm infuriated especially that I was a regular and had even sent friends there. Do not go here!!! read more

They do not have regular pedicure chairs. Stiff fabric chairs that can be heated. They have bowls brought out with hot stones. If you get the basic pedi the don't use the pumas stone. No massage no hot towels.. No way to really rinse off because there is just the bowl. Wanted $50 for basic mani - pedi. I would go elsewhere. Lots of staff all talking no customers. read more

Well... I didn't get a fungus from there. But, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. I recently moved and tried Profiles for the first time, since it was closer to my home than the salon I had frequented in the past. The price is at the top of the bracket for most spas... yet the atmosphere is extremely tacky, and the service is sub-par. I felt like a hinderance on the associate's ongoing conversation with one another. When I attempted to voice my preference for length and nail shape I was laughed at! ("Short nails, natural shape") They didn't treat my cuticles, but instead burnt them off with the automatic nail shaper, and when I flinched because it hurt, the attendant was quite rude and laughed it off. My entire right hand didn't cure, and she had to do the entire thing over again. The left hand was already a bit sloppy, but the right hand looked like a 5 year old's best attempt. By the end of the experience I had made up my mind that I would NOT be returning. This place is... very disappointing. read more
