What a great find on the outskirts of Moab. If you come across this restaurant, don't pass by without stopping by for a bite! We were looking for a breakfast spot passing through Moab and found Hidden Cuisine on Yelp. I'm so glad we took the chance and stopped in for breakfast. It can be unassuming but don't let that throw you off. Once inside you will be impressed with a clean and appointed restaurant adorned by the native South African Flag and decor. We were greeted by our host and server Sloan. Sloan was calm, nice and welcoming! We really enjoyed his presence and recommendations of the menu. We ordered coffee and apple juice. The juice is fresh squeezed. It was green apple. So refreshing! Everything is made from scratch. For breakfast we shared the Eggs Benedict and the Avocado Toast. Both were delicious. Eggs poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was very light and bright. The ham was delicious. Bread thin and crispy. The potatoes were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Seasoned perfectly. We loved it. The avocado toast was so tasty. We were also told they just started serving dinner and got a glimpse of the menu. Looks amazing. We will definitely stop by next time we make our way through town!

We were served by a young man who provided extra attentive service. The food.. outstanding! Get the crepes! Coffee... also fantastic! Prices are reasonable and the best part? No insane throngs of tourists! Come support a family owned business that takes cooking and hospitality seriously.

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service! Our family of 4 stopped by Hidden Cuisine for breakfast in Aug 2024 while staying in Moab. The restaurant is located outside of Moab downtown but it turned out to be a true hidden gem! Every single dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and just perfect! Presentation was also beautiful and aesthetic. We also got a freshly squeezed juice and super friendly quick service! With all that the prices were very reasonable. When we left we wished we could come back for lunch and another breakfast, but sadly it wasn't possible with our trip schedule. Thank you Hidden Cuisine for delicious meal setting the mood for the day ahead! We highly recommend Hidden Cuisine restaurant! It's well worth driving extra few min from Moab downtown. Food ordered Smoked Salmon Benedict - perfectly balanced, with all the right flavors. Hidden Scramble Crepes - masterpiece! My son finished it in no time :) Pipe Dream Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon - excellent, flavorful, with right texture. Chef's Crepes - just perfect!

This restaurant is located away from the Moab Main street tourist restaurants area, about four miles out. All the customers seem to be local. The Interior gave off an old diner vibe. The parking lot wss not paved. The family dropped in for lunch specifically to try the South Afican inspired foods except for me. I went with a bacon and egg scramble in crepes with home fried potatoes from the all day breakfast menu. The girls went with three different South Afican dishes. The South Afican dishes seem to inspired by Indian cooking. My plate was delicious and I ate everything. I loved the idea of scramble in crepes. The girls loved their South Afican dishes as well. They really enjoyed the curry sauces because the sauces were not as intense as the Indian curry sauces. They couldn't finish the large amount of foods and we took the leftover for dinner. Table service was very friendly and attentive. Prices were appropriate for the high quality ingredients and taste. We were happy with our meal.

    Delicious coffee

Great breakfast, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Wish I had been traveling through for lunch time. Overall, excellent!

We had breakfast here and liked it so much we returned the next day for lunch! Our breakfast dishes were ham and smoked salmon Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was homemade and the eggs were poached perfectly. Very tasty potatoes were included. The next day we came for the house special lunch-South African food. I had Bobotie and my husband had Malay Chicken. Both were delicious. Misty was our very sweet and efficient server. This restaurant is a little outside of Moab but definitely worth the drive!

Delicious food in a very special spot. Ordered ahead and picked up for our drive across the US. Kids loved it, parents loved it.

The Eggs Benedict are really so delicious. They use a non-traditional hollandaise sauce which, amazingly amped up the flavor of the eggs! And the eggs were perfectly made so that the whites were thoroughly cooked and the yolk was runny. Odd, but this is a difficult thing to get in a restaurant. The meal was served with delicious home fries where the potatoes were moist and flavored. We also ordered a side of their thick bacon, which had a bit of a different flavor - very nice. The bacon was perfectly cooked. We took a chance on the egg scramble, which had lots of promise with the many ingredients listed, but the eggs were overcooked and dry, so the other ingredients couldn't compensate. They served the eggs with a very nice bread for their toast. We almost didn't come here as we only saw the side of the building, which was a very small house looking structure. But as you continue down the street, you can see that they have expanded their restaurant to include the dining area: an "inside" area and a patio area. All of this new structure is glass or plastic windows, they have heating and cooling to accommodate for the time of day and they did a great job of making a pleasant eatery. Everyone we met at the restaurant was pleasant and kind. It was such an enjoyable time. We have a few more days in Moab, so we will be back.

It has been five years since I've been to Moab and a lot has changed…read more Jailhouse Cafe has been our go to breakfast place for at least 10 years. The food taste was still decent. However, the prices have absolutely skyrocketed. We paid five dollars each for some pretty fair tasting coffee. The omelette I used to order is now close to $20. The portion seemed quite a bit smaller too For breakfast for the two of us it was over 50 bucks. We used to have to wait at least an hour for breakfast but this time there was absolutely no wait. I'm wondering if due to the rising meal costs if that's impacting the number of customers coming in the door. I am not sure if I would come back again in the future, which is such a shame.
