I have never seen the Real House Wives of New Jersey stop stop in on any of my visits. They have been featured on the show buying ice cream here. I need to point out that their products (32 flavors of Italian Ice, 33 of Ice Cream. 26 of Gelato and 8 of Yogurt are "NOT" nut, soy, wheat, egg or other allergen free. I'm fortunate not to have allergies. Well this time I stopped at 11:01am for my fix. They open at 11am and purchased a pint of Stracciatella, gelato. The pint cost $13. I've never been here but have heard plenty about it, so gave it a shot this Summer Sunday night. The place was pretty packed with a lot of family's but the line moved quickly. I got a vanilla chocolate soft serve and my family got sugar free vanilla chocolate chip and another soft serve. From a soft serve perspective, I thought it was very good and would go back for it, but it wasn't as excellent as it was talked up to be; however, the hard ice cream may live up to the hype from what I heard. One problem I did notice was the quantity I received differed significantly from another patrons. I got a medium and as my picture shows, it was certainly a hefty, good sized medium for the $5 it cost, and totally worth it. The customer next to me got a medium that barely toppled over the side of the cup and then asked to upgrade to a large. Now I do understand the kids working behind the counter are just doing the job the best they can and servers can vary with this but hopefully addressing it in this post allows management to teach their team how to have (somewhat) even portions. I go here time and time and again for my sweet cravings. Usually, I always get the ice cream and Italian ice. My go to ice cream is cherry vanilla, while my go to Italian ice is green apple and pina colada. Depending on the flavor, their Italian ice has the actual fruit inside. Like any other ice cream, if you're ordering a flavor that is heavy, it will be sweet given the quality ingredients they use here. They have a quart size option for ~$8 and that is usually what I get. During their busy time, the line is very long but moves rather quickly as they have multiple workers serving their customers. the long line is not a bad thing as it represents how good Gelotti is. There are no seats inside but there are some spots outside that you can either stand or sit to enjoy your dessert. Although there are ample parking spots, during their busy times, it is quite filled. Last night, my friends and I went to Gelotti's. My friend has been there before and loved their ice cream & gelato. Initially, we all chose to get mango soft serve, but they ran out. Very impressive with its enormous space and wide variety of choices. They serve from gelato to soft serve to scoop-able (apple says that's not a word but today it is lol) ice creams. They have pre-packaged take home selections as well. It's a perfect stop during a hot summer day/evening. They have a few sitting areas that consist of blocks but the parking lot is very spacious that hanging by your car will do the trick too. Only downside I noticed was the lack of a restroom.
