When I need to bring pastries to an event, I often come here. Open since 1960 at this location, Palazzone's is located on Route 23 South directly opposite the WillowBrook Mall. Cookies are purchased by the pound. They range between $16-$18 which in this area is a pretty competitive price. Pastries can be bought individually starting at $2.75. Once you have tasted their cookies or pastries you well notice their quality. They are delicious. I recommend their lobster tails ($3.80). Mousses ($5.00). The pastries I got were $2.50 and $3.50 each. Tip: get anything hazelnut-- which, btw, was the best tasting hazelnut I've ever had. Cons: a bit hard to get too since it's on the corner of Rte 23 as you risk your life to onboard 80 or 46 so try going during not busy times for better chances to get in/out as well as find parking. Inside ambiance is nothing to write home about but who cares when the quality of goods is that tasty and authentic?? I noticed a visible separation from the bunch in the back to the ones in the front. I was hoping it was nothing. But I was wrong, apparently the ones toward the rear were day old. Believe when I tell you they were dried out. The cream was as delicious as always. Speaking of the cream, last visit I felt that the tail was no longer filled completely. This visit confirmed my previous encounter. The tail end which was unusually narrow, had zero filling. At best the whole tail was 2/3 full. I guess he got too big to deliver the best. read more

Well, disappointment is what I really felt about this place, but my husband enjoyed the pistachio and hazelnut mini cream puff pastries. The look is pleasing, neat, organized, and clean. The pastries and desserts look amazing. However, most of the items we tried fell short of anything close to what my grandmother made or what even the Easton Bakery produced prior to the new ownership. The cannoli...the shell was THICK and so hard that I could barely bite it. The filling was a good consistency and was not too sweet, but lacked that creamy Ricotta taste. The strawberry (or cherry - pink side) and vanilla shortbread cookies were incredibly dry and really lacked any flavor. I threw them out. I got one jelly, thumbprint cookie. The jelly was like glue and again the cookie lacked flavor. Now, the cream puffs were pleasant. The pistachio tasted a little artificial, but the cream and the puff pastry were very good. The hazelnut was the same in that it was good cream and the puff. Very clean and inviting place with beautiful looking desserts, but the tastiness of them is 50/50. read more

It complements nicely. But really, this place SERIOUSLY has the BEST LOBSTER TAIL PASTRY I HAVE EVER HAD. Simply amazing!! I grew up in Brooklyn and always had the most delicious Italian pastries. I was having the hardest time finding something that was comparable here. When we tried this place I was so surprised at how delicious everything was. The staff is so friendly and we chatted about the different kinds of pastries and cakes available. My kids love the gelato and even when my daughter accidentally dropped hers on the floor, they quickly offered her a replacement! Not sure how they achieve the creamy and fluffy consistency but bravo! The cannoli was crunchy on the outside with a rich filling with mini chocolate chips. It was accented by a candied fruit which did not really go with the cannoli flavor. Cappuccino was alright but it was strong. And, the Amalfi was more of a dessert than coffee. Always love coming here. It's such a welcoming and comfortable setting. Their pastries are unbelievable! Especially the lobster tails. Everything is always so fresh, decadent, and unique. We usually take pastries to go but today decided to sit in and grab a bite with coffee. All of their special coffee options are delicious! My favorite is the milano with Nutella. I also got the giancarlo sandwich this time and would highly recommend.
