Loved her! I ended up spending under $200 on about 10 feet of chain total. Two gold-filled chains and one copper. I left really happy with what I bought and the whole experience. And bonus points because parking was EASY and FREE!! If you're looking for those items you've hit the jackpot. Other items present as well, of course, but they all seemed to be asking the same price (or higher) as any of the antique shops in the region. I.e., there didn't seem to be any significant deals here, even after negotiating a few times. Many of the vendors seemed bored and apathetic. Not a good atmosphere. Finally the head appraiser guy was the most bored, apathetic, and rude of all. I presented him with 1915 sketch by a French artist for appraisal. First thing this guy does is quickly glance at it then dismissively hand it off to another appraiser stating, "Strictly amateur hour". Now, it may well have not had a tremendous worth, but it could have had sentimental value or similar. Way to make people feel welcome and comfortable, arsehole! The other appraisers seemed glued to their smartphones/internet when appraising other people's items, I noticed. Hey appraisers, I can look up values on Ebay et al myself! If you're not an expert in the item-type being handed to you, be honest and SAY SO! Avoid these people, folks. It's not even worth your $5 per item... and they really don't want to be there.

When we arrived at the gate, we were asked to pull our car over and show our ID and we were greeted by a man named Frank who gave us directions to parking. The directions were quite complicated in my opinion and I politely asked if I could repeat them back and he responded with "is that necessary?" I was a little bit upset by this. I think that he was a little bit rude. Anyways, we continued on and met with our lovely wonderful tour guide named Julia!. She was 10/10 with her knowledge about gems and answered all of our questions patiently. She was such a kind patient person and took her time with us and really gave us a great experience. She even recommended a place for us to eat lunch since we were not super familiar with the area. It turned out to be a really delicious restaurant along the water. It met all of our needs. I will say that the tour is an hour long and it felt a bit short. I would've preferred if it was a little bit longer because we did have a lot of questions. I also wish there was some type of gift shop, but I understand that that's asking a little bit too much since it's a museum and a school. I did really like the high-level of Security as it made us feel really safe. I was also very impressed at how international GIA is. It was very impressive to see the flags of the countries of the students that were enrolled in the program. I also love the basketball court and the cafeteria for the students. I thought that was a really great campus for them.

From the moment you walked in, I was surrounded by a beautiful selection of raw stones, polished gems, and unique pieces for any type of energy work or personal collection. What really stood out to me were the stunning amethyst pieces - both the cathedral formations and the winged amethyst clusters.
