Food was good and service was great. I had a choice between a home style burger or a hamburger. The difference was the home style was made from fresh not frozen. It was good, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mustard and mayo. All sandwiches come with chips or you can pay extra for fries or tots. I opted for the tots. We love the Gemini! There is so much nostalgia in this place for many of the locals. It's been around a long time and reminds me of the cafes you can still find along Old Route 66. I always order the Gemini Stack or the Half Stack. It is a hash brown dish that includes eggs cooked your way, peppers, onions, cheese, bacon and sausage. Sometimes I get gravy and biscuits too. It is so good. I have many memories from years gone by of breakfasts with friends on Saturdays drinking bottomless coffee. The service is friendly and the local community culture is a really cool thing to see now. If you are a local; you will surely see a familiar face. I've been wanting to go to Gemini's for quite some time now and I finally got the opportunity during this trip to Idabel. The locals know what they're talking about, and Gemini's knows what they're doing. We chatted with Mel's wife at the checkout for a bit and she gave us a brief history lesson. This place has been around since 1969 and unbeknowst to many, it's not named after a zodiac sign, but instead after a spacecraft! Ha. She also told us that their catfish is top notch and lacks the black gummy part. They order from the same place as Catfish King. I'll have to return and try their Friday special. My parents shared the Gemini special stack w/their eggs on the side (portions are huge - come hungry!). I ordered pancakes and eggs and they were delish. Our waitress was Jackie and she was amazing and attentive. I thought she was the owner for a sec 'cause she handled everything which such care! This is a 5 star diner, but my pork eating days are over and I wished so badly I could have ordered a beef or chicken sausage or turkey bacon to accompany my breakfast. I understand this is the town preference though, but I hope they consider it. Gonna give an honest 4 stars for that because people do pass through, and ya just never know. When we asked if they carried a non-pork breakfast meat, Jackie chuckled and said "no, we don't have anything healthy here" when I asked. I had to chuckle myself too, 'cause I do know where I am. It's hard to go to a relative's house in town and eat healthy, let alone a restaurant. Nonetheless they're good peeps and good eats. I enjoy home-cooked meals and I love a diner that can make you feel at home. Gemini's has the touch with quick and friendly service. Bring cash though, no cards accepted. read more

So we yelped this place and I'm so glad we did. Food reminds you of home. Coffee was good the service was excellent. We had the pancakes and the Gemini scramble. Both were sooooo good!!! Crispy old skool pancakes none of those over fluffed thick pancakes that have no flavor, these were thin crispy and taste like Grandma made them. If your in the Broken Bow area give this little place a try. We enjoyed it and will def be back when we visit again read more

The down home feel of this place is part of why it gets 5 stars in my book. Very friendly owners welcome you and you hear them continue to chat with the regulars and locals. We came around 11am and the elders were asking the kids coming in why they aren't at school (it's Veterans Day so they're off) but besides that, it's a friendly place to come and get a bite to eat. Breakfast was great, my hubby enjoyed his omelette and we both really enjoyed the hashbrowns - not too oily, just the right amount of crisp. The portions are modest but filling and the prices fit. An absolutely hometown, handmade, personal style eatery, this place is a great hidden spot! I was hesitant at first glance, it was a bit small, older and not exactly visually appealing. The food selection was quite nice, and once we got our breakfast platters, I could see why this place had a long history in this town. Now while I cannot speak for the full menu, the breakfast at this place was downright amazing. Flavorful, home cookin' kinda meal. I loved every bite of it. Waitress are amazing. Even though it's always packed doesn't mean that the wait staff slacks they are very hands on as well as the owners. Food comes out hot and in a very timely manner. So good! Homemade pancakes and a pile of hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausage, peppers and onions to die for. With home made food comes time, so don't be in a hurry. Our waitress Jackie was awesome, very nice! The only thing I didn't like about this place was that they don't allow customers to tip on a credit or debit card (even though there's a place like normal for it) I was told by the person running the register the owner won't allow it. Pretty sure that's somehow illegal and the owner is screwing their hardworking employees. Go here and bring cash! Great 1st stop on our road trip. read more
