There are some incredibly inspiring yogis that go here on a regular basis...people overcoming huge physical and emotional challenges. Also, there are probably more people over 50 than I've seen at other studios. Don't try to make excuses for yourself because of your age! You might be standing next to someone in their 60's. There is one student that is 81 and she started last year! Sandy is a great owner. The studio is always clean and it does not have that Eua du Bikram "fragrance" that other studios have. I'd highly recommend this studio to new and experienced students.

As an Internist practicing for 36 years, I have seen countless patients with back pain and core…read morestrength issues.  I was trained to refer such patients to physical therapy with mostly satisfactory outcomes (I am very choosy about who I refer to).  This past year, after years of jogging, my back developed enough problems that after physical therapy, 2 level spinal fusion, and more physical therapy, I had accepted the improved but residual pain that I was living with. My wife had suggested long ago that I join her in her yoga classes with Amy Tyre, but being stubborn (and male) I declined.  Finally because of her ongoing prodding I decided to join her during a zoom yoga class.  Before submitting to the class, I discussed my back history and limitations with Amy.  She thought for a moment and gave me specific counsel on how to alter some of her instructions to protect my spine from rotating.  I hate to admit it,  but within 2 weeks of 2 x per week yoga classes with Amy, I am totally free of back pain.  I always thought my core strength was excellent and that Yoga was just for stretching and emotional wellbeing-   I WAS WRONG.  My wife was correct.  I plan to recommend Amy's classes to any of my open minded patients who need work on core strength and stretching. I look forward to the classes, I bought my own yoga blocks, and I am hooked!   I asked my wife she had not suggested long ago that I join her in her yoga classes with Amy Tyres!?

For my first and now my second pregnancies I go to Jennie's prenatal yoga on Wednesday nights. When I went for the first time in 2022, I knew I would love it. I took her class every week for more than half of my pregnancy. And now I'm just a few weeks away from delivering my second and I am just so thankful for Jennie to be part of my journey. When I went to class with my second, I was met with a hug and the warmest welcome back! I just love her. And I LOVE this class. I live about 25 minute away and it's worth the drive. The energy, warmth, acceptance and solidarity is just to wonderful and I am grateful to have this though out pregnancy. Jennie make everyone feel so at home and comfortable. Her energy, caring, kindness and general vibe lets you know that you belong and you're not alone. I love that we go around the room when class starts to share and ask for advice and then we move our bodies in such a kind and gracious way; the room is truly full of acceptance- for each other and ourselves and that is all because of Jennie.

They also offer yoga classes which is great! My girlfriend told me to take a breastfeeding class prior to baby coming because it isn't as easy as people make it out to be and that a class is very helpful! BOY WAS SHE RIGHT. I learned so much in this 2 hour class and feel so much more knowledgable going into it. It was worth every penny. Not to mention, they have a free "Happy Boob Group" that meets on Friday mornings if you encounter any trouble and/or need support once baby is here. They also offer at-home consultations if you need more support with nursing right after getting home from the hospital, i.e. baby isn't latching, etc. Having a direct contact/resource for breastfeeding has completely put my mind at ease. I also heard that there is a dream sleep class called "Will I Ever Sleep Again?" that we signed up for. All of my friends took it and have wonderful sleeping babies. Yes, please! I already feel a part of a little 'mom' community after coming here and can't wait to bring our baby boy back for the sleep class in January! I was feeling emotionally drained for a very long time prior to meeting Diane. I was having trouble with my balance and sleeping throughout the night. I contacted Diane via email and she promptly returned my inquiry with a phone call. I was able to schedule a time that worked best for both of us. I was looking forward to my appointment with her. We focused primarily on core while also hitting arms, shoulders, legs and glutes. I left feeling well worked out. I did the Sculpt class with Britt and loved it. She has great energy and doesn't make the class feel like it's timed. The space opened last August and is so neat, clean and spacious inside. I'd love to come back soon for another class!
