We love this indoor playground for our 5 year old daughter. It is located in Grossmont Center, which makes it super convenient for playtime after running errands or shopping in the area. I really appreciate all the new additions and renovations. We were out of town for about a month and when we came back, so many of the play stations had been updated. It definitely did not go unnoticed and shows they are investing in the space. One thing I love about this place is how often the staff cleans and reorganizes. No matter how busy it gets, it never feels messy. It also never smells like feet in there, which is honestly a big problem at other indoor playgrounds. The staff does a great job maintaining a clean and pleasant environment. The only downside for us is that our daughter is growing out of it a little too fast. She can get bored if there are not other kids her age to play with. This is truly a great spot for younger children. I do wish they offered an hourly rate instead of requiring a full day pass, because sometimes you just need a quick hour or two to let the kids get their wiggles out. Overall, it is a wonderful, well maintained playground and we will continue recommending it to families with younger kids. read more

We have been taking our son here for almost six months now and every month there is something new, which makes it exciting to come back. The place is always very clean and the staff are constantly sanitizing, especially after a child leaves a station, which we really appreciate. It is a great place to bring our son and very fulfilling in terms of fun, excitement, and play. It is definitely one of our favorite spots. This is a great place for the little ones 12 and under! It's located right in Grossmont mall. Perfect enclosed area for the little ones. What is awesome is you pay for the day and enter in and out as much as you would like. You can bring in food and drinks just not "party size" which makes sense! The kids loved it here it has a little bit of everything. It was perfect for our rainy day Also the manger was sooooo nice! A couple of the kids had a minor accident and she made sure to go out of her way checking in on the kids asking if we needed anything and even offering ice packs. There is a bit of remolding going on for future expansion it looks like. read more

We came to The Playground at Grossmont Center for a birthday party, and it was such a great experience. The space was clean, well-organized, and perfect for kids to run, climb, and just be kids. This is our favorite of all the ones we tried in SD. This indoor play yard has the most variety, some educational stuff, and the staff is really nice. My daughter (2 1/2 now, been coming for a year) loves it for the play, I love it for the cleanliness, vibe, and staff. This place pissed me off with the blatant cash grab at the door with grippy socks - you must have THEIR branded grippy socks to enter, competitor socks despite being made by the same manufacturer, are not allowed. Just charge whatever fees you need to operate up front in your pricing. Moving on there are some unique play areas and aspects that the kids enjoy so I'll give them props for that. I will also give them props for having people constantly roving and cleaning and spraying and re-organizing everything. Other than that, the place falls flat for me. It looks like it's lacking routine maintenance as evidenced in the flooring and ceiling tiles, and the clientele match the aesthetics. Overall I probably won't be back. read more

Great place for kids to play and interact with other kids. We took our oldest here so she can try to socialize with other kids in order to get ready for preschool. They have a bouncy obstacle course which my daughter loves and scared at the same time. Loved the bouncy mat with other kids. Loved the ball pen and also afraid because one of the falling balls in one of the picture I posted. So bring them here. Price is reasonable, but maybe will take them to the park as my daughter can get bored easily and have to pay for 4 dollar socks even though we brought our own non-slip socks. read more

We come here about every 2 months and there are always new features. Every time we're here I see staff members cleaning up with spray bottles. This is the only indoor playground we've been to where we don't get sick right after. Rainy days can get pretty chaotic so be prepared to tale your little ones closely. read more

I was asked at the front if my kids had grip socks and I said yes because I was sure to bring some. It's been a while so I didn't realize we needed specific "playground" socks. 30 minutes into our time there, staff member very abruptly asked if my kid had socks. I would have taken care of it at the front when we first got there if I was not supposed to have other ones. Also they are enforcing a grip socks rule but apparently not the rule that only 4 & under are the only ones allowed to play in a certain area. I was following the rules and wouldn't let my 7 year old into that area with my 3 year old. Yet 2 staff members who saw children clearly over the age of 4 were allowed to be in there. I have no issue with that but if you're going to enforce rules, enforce it across the board. read more

I came here with my cousin and her 2 kids, we wanted to check this place out since we have always passed by it and have heard so much about it from other parents. The place is really big and they have a bunch of inflatable obstacle courses and ball pins. Depending on the day and the time it can get really busy. If you don't like crowds, I recommend calling and seeing how busy they are. The price for the day seems to be a lot but we were told that you can leave and come back until they close, which we thought was cool. You do have to buy gripping socks since regular socks do not work. We figured if we buy the socks we will just save it for the next time we come again. They have a section for kids that are older and another section for younger kids. They keep it clean in there which is good! They have a section where you can leave your stroller and shoes. The employees are really helpful. They answer all of your questions and concerns. On some of the inflatables, I saw that adults can go on there as well. read more

We have a membership and absolutely love it. My daughter is 2 and can participate in every station here. One of the managers, Lindsey, is incredible and so friendly. She's also super engaged with the kids and parents which is refreshing. I see them cleaning things constantly which gives me so much peace of mind. 10/10 recommend this place. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a playdate. The family I was meeting with had a membership and had extra socks so I didn't have to pay. It is $22 first child, $19 additional child. Socks $4. I found these prices to be really high for what you get. It had a pillow mat jumper, inflatable tubes, ball pit with slide, climbing wall and a playground area that had monkey bars, a swing, more climbing pegs. They also had a gated off area for smaller kids and a pretend play area. My kid (8) and their friend were able to keep for a few hours. They have tables and chairs for parents or kids to watch the action. Couches are near play areas so you can sit closer to the action if you want. They sell bottles of water, capri suns, honest juice boxes, gatorade and chips. I also saw families that had brought their own snacks or got food from the mall. Staff close to closing time were picking up and wiping things down but prior to that they had been at the front desk. Luckily other than completing the waiver I didn't have to have interaction with them. They have restrooms available but I didn't use them. The place is well lit, located close to Target and near a parking garage. It had good, cool air flow and they had tinting on the windows (it doesn't go all the way to the top so the sun blinded us where we were sitting so we moved. Things inside are colorful and seem to be maintained. I wouldn't come here if not for the playdate as I feel it is for younger kids, was priced high ($26 for admission and socks) and there was not a lot to do. This space was appreciated as it was open until 8pm and made for a good spot to have a playdate since it gets dark so early. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here. I came with my 2-year-old and 7-month-old nephews, and they were going to charge the 7-month-old $19 -- even though he can barely crawl -- just because he's over their 6-month age policy. Also, I brought non-slip socks, but they refused to accept them since they weren't purchased there. On top of that, the kids here run around chasing each other with no supervision, and the staff don't seem to care. I'd recommend checking out other playgrounds instead.
