I went to his shop and he let me take some of his fabric books home. I found one I loved and let him know. He ordered it and then came to get the sofa pretty quickly. He had it for several weeks, which I expected, and just returned it yesterday. The pictures will show why I love it so much. He payed close attention to detail and gave me what I asked for. The loveseat has a whole new feel as they plumped it comfortably. It is so beautiful and I wish I'd done it sooner. I highly recommend his services. I have some other items I will ask him to do. One piece needed to be stripped, the wood frame painted and then re-upholstered. Tony has been great to work with - clear explanations, beautiful work and fair prices. We made a mistake with the paint color we asked him to use on the chair and he felt so bad when we didn't like how it looked (it was OUR mistake) he re-painted it for free. The upholstery work on that chair is beautiful, symmetrical, tight and totally professional. We just had them start on our two other chairs and I have no doubt they'll turn out beautifully too.

It is important that you know your community and you are willing to negotiate as a family business. That is what will keep your business alive. I was really excited over the reviews, saying how quick they were to get back, how reasonable their prices were, and how they were willing to work with everyone. When I asked them for a quote to re-upholster 17x20 dining room chair, they wanted to charge $75 a piece for 6 dining room chairs. No deal, no hourly rate; no negotiation whatsoever. Then they said that they would not do delivery because normally you can "unscrew" the seat of the chair. I'm sorry, but by the time I unscrew the chair and bring a bunch of those over to you with my own fabric, what am I even paying you for? This might be really reasonable for upper class people. They did say at this business that reasonable is relative and I would agree. I was not able to get my service done here because it is way too steep. They were cordial, but clearly exclusive.
