First time user and I went there solely because of the good Yelp reviews and the owners personal statement on Yelp. True family business, hard working and honest. Brought four sets of outdoor furniture cushions that were yellow, faded and 15 years old. Told them what colors I was interested in over the phone and told them I was coming in. When I got there, they had the available color swatches already pulled and had checked manufacturer inventory to help me select one that would actually be available (Covid shortages and all) - picked out a gorgeous sapphire blue Sunbrella material. Was told 4-5 weeks - and right at the four week mark they called me to let me know they were ready - well, they were and they were perfect. Just perfect, Material cost was around $500 and labor around the same but darn, for 8 cushions that are now brand new, I can't complain. Way better than the cheap (meaning $75-100 a set, so $300-400 comparable cost) and squishy cushions that fade in two years from Home Depot or Lowes (no disrespect to HD or Lowes, but they sell mass market - not custom). This place is great - you won't be disappointed - and they do lots more than just cushions! Furniture, Leather etc...all good. read more

Even though it took a whole lot longer to get our chair reupholstered, Francisco did such amazing work and was such a good communicator that it didn't even affect his 5 star rating! The chair is a family heirloom from the Victorian era and needed to be done *just right*-- Francisco excelled in every way. I admit to having a little trepidation to have someone who doesn't necessarily specialize in antique furniture reupholster and restore a valuable piece like our chair, but my fears were totally ungrounded. He not only did a flawless job on the reupholstery, he oiled the carved wood frame back to rich, deep cherry and replaced the old, broken down springs in the seat with a much nicer foam cushion that will last much longer than tied springs. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend any similar work done by this business. Just be prepared for what could be a long wait...it's a small shop and the good word about his excellence keeps him busy! read more

I brought my old rocking chair here because my daughter had brought her cushions for a chair and the turn around was really fast.... Well, my turnaround wasn't so fast. And after the job was finally done, I was told they should have charged me more, but would honor their original quote. They did a really great job, I used to do upholstery myself so I recognize quality work. I would suggest asking, "when will the job be done?" so that expectations are met. I don't ever give bad reviews on yelp. But this was just too much. I messaged this company through Yelp asking for a quote on some high-backed dining chairs. Francisco asked me to send him multiple pictures. I did so and he gave me a quote of $175 each for labor. I drove the 30 minutes to drop the chairs off, sat there for an hour picking out fabric, spoke with him and left thinking I would be receiving a new quote for the fabric only. When he e-mailed me later stating the chairs were now going to be $345 labor for each chair because I had asked for tufting. That was too much so I asked him to go ahead without the tufting. He then said the quote was now $290 for each chair labor. Why this jumped from $175 each to $290 each considering he had seen the pictures ahead of time he never answered. He was then very rude about me picking up the chairs multiple times. Unreal. I feel he gave me the low quote to get me in then doubled the price either because he saw the car I drove and my address or because he just didn't want to spend the time on the chairs. No matter what he writes back this place wasted my time and was extremely rude throughout the process. I definitely DON'T recommend this place. read more

The good reviews I found about Leucadia Upholstery on Yelp were accurate---and my experience was the same. Francisco Salgado is a hard working small business owner that does incredible work. When we met to discuss the job, he showed me all the different color samples. We agreed on the material and the price, and he ordered the material. I dropped my car off for the work once my specific material had arrived, and the next evening they were finishing it up. They are a small shop but busy---which is a sign of high quality, high value work. In his small shop you can observe a multitude of furniture projects as well. We had been looking on our own for 6 months and we told Francisco what we had been looking for and he came up with exactly what wanted in 5 minutes! We recently had six dining table chairs, two wing back chairs, and a love seat sofa reupholstered at Leucadia Custom Upholstery. These pieces were all originally from Ethan Allen, and Francisco and his team did a wonderful, high quality job. The chairs and sofa look like new! It is obvious that Francisco is a skilled craftsman who takes great pride in his work. Also, the price was much more reasonable than the quote we received from Ethan Allen. In fact, Francisco ended up charging me less for the new foam cushions than the price he had originally quoted. Some of the fabric I had chosen was initially on back-order and, due to equipment issues at the manufacturer, for a time there was a question about whether the manufacturer would be able to deliver it at all. When this happened, Adrianna (the office manager) searched the internet and made a number of calls to try to find enough of the fabric elsewhere. When she determined that it was out-of-stock everywhere, Adrianna also searched and found a variety of possible alternative fabrics! This was beyond the call of duty and I really appreciated the time she spent helping me. Throughout my many visits and phone calls to the shop over the past few months (while waiting for the fabric) Francisco and Adrianna have always been very helpful, friendly, and professional! We highly recommend Leucadia Custom Upholstery, and will definitely use them for all future upholstery work! read more
