    Loaded French Fries

If you're looking for a fun place to get a drink, hang out with friends and eat some good food then definitely check out this spot! The indoor portion of General is a low light type of vibe with good music, and sports games going on while the outdoor/deck portion of the place is perfect for the warmer weather. The staff is super friendly and work together to make sure you always feel attended as well as keeping the place comfortable for everyone. My go-to's at General which I highly vouch for are either the loaded fries, the honey chipotle chicken strips or the loaded chicken nachos. They have a big variety of different alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages to choose from as well. I would definitely recommend this spot for a night out!

I came to the General Davis the first time about 15 years ago where they served free hot wings as they wanted to bring in business to the bar. I came every dam week of football week 1 through 16 so I have some memories of this spot....that being said I went back 16 years later last weekend and here was my experience. Steak Egg Rolls - Crispy Wonton, Rib Eye, Spicy Ketchup. The sauce that came with had a good amount of tang to it. $8.99 was a fair price however I was straving when I came here and could only finish two of the rolls. They were out of alot of the food options as this was there first weekend back I am guessing opening back up during the COVID-19 pandemic. Scalloped Potato - Not bad, I could taste some mayonaise in it however...do people usually cook these with mayonaise? I mean this place is bar food so I am not judging just tasted a bit different from the typical scalloped potato's I am used to. French Fries - My date ordered the Fries and they looked quite good. Ordered a side of cheese for them at only fifty cents extra which is extremely fair. I did not taste them however. To be honest since moving to Philadelphia there is just a plethora of food options be it at a much higher price point but I do not see myself coming back to The General in the near future.

24 wings tossed together with Garlic Sauce and Buffalo Mild. The general needs to add this flavor Bomb I kinda created. Wings were 10 out of 10, always ask for extra sauce. These wings are how they used to be 18-20 years ago, whoever the chef/cook was on 6-6-23 around 2 pm, hats off to you. Nailed it.

General Deck, Bar & Grill on Street Road, Southampton, PA, is a deceptively attractive sports bar with decent kitchen and large outdoor rear deck for nicer weather. The barroom in front contains a rectangular bar, recently refurbished along with the rest of the house, with TVs everywhere you look. Behind the bar are two smallish dining rooms, redone to look rustic with stone and rough hewn wood. The deck comes last, and is approachable directly from the parking lot. I stopped in to catch the 76ers game against the Lakers, and was lucky enough to watch the locals demolish the LeBrons by 23 points! The menu was sitting on the bar, and I heard their California Burger calling my name. Got it finished medium, with a side order of Brussel Sprouts fit onto the large plate right next door. Service was friendly, and young enough to need to show their IDs. The burger was very good - done as requested, with fresh avo, lettuce, sliced sweet red onion, tomato and ranch dressing, on an above average bun that held together to the very end despite significant drippage from the puck and its playmates. The Brussels were excellently soft and savory with bacon, feta and a tart balsamic glaze overcoat. NOTE: The only recognizable defect in the entire show was the steep staircase to the second floor restrooms, which were inaccessible to anyone with a disability. I know that rehabilitated old buildings present challenges to compliance with ADA requirements, but given the amount of work done on the structure, and the addition of the large deck, a unisex handicap outfitted restroom should have been designed into the first floor, and a ramp installed for wheelchairs and walkers for entry into The General.

Eat here often with the wife and kids on the deck. Great service. Great food. Solid drinks...haven't had a bad service here yet

Came here yesterday after seeing an ad for a $7 burger special on Wednesdays. I won't be back in a hurry. I was disappointed in my experience with this place. We decided to get a few sodas, an order of chipotle honey wings, and two of the plain burgers for the Wednesday "special". We found out very quickly that the "special" was not really a special. The burger is really a burger without fries, which makes the price not much different than it would normally be. The burger that comes with fries every other day of the week is $12. This is just a burger without fries, which cost about $4 on the menu anyway. At least the doneness was correct on the burgers. They were decent, but horribly dry. They had no mayo or other sauce at all on them, so we used packets of ketchup to add some moisture. The chipotle honey wings were the best part of the meal, but they were extremely undersauced. You can see from the photo that they are just very poorly coated. However, they were very crispy and just perfectly cooked. If only they had actually used the right amount of sauce, they would've been amazing. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I am in no hurry to go back. Don't fall for the "specials," either.

Quite empty on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. I assume they get a younger crowd that works and comes later (we are retired). The happy hour menu impressed us. Speciality cocktails normally $15-ish were only $9. That got our attention. Plus $5 appetizers. Never see lemon drop martini, manhattan and expresso martinis on happy hour afterall. And those were our picks (3 of us). We were celebrating Mom's 93 birthday. For the $5. appetizers we picked pork spring rolls, potato chip nachos, and mozzarella sticks. The chips were the winner. BUT "never" get the spring rolls. Two very disappointing , tiny spring rolls that had a microscopic amount of pork. It was pathetic. Not even worth it for $5. I would stay away from those. Silly only two on the plate and there were 3 of us. Too small to share. Our server was efficent and sweet. She added to a nice happy hour. We enjoyed playing a few rounds of table shuffle board. Nice addition. The best part of our happy hour was a friendly couple (we just met them) at the bar surprised us and paid for a round of drinks since they heard it was my Mom's 93 birthday!! That surely made her day extra special and memorable.

You will be asked if you want the seasoning and drawn better. If I could go back in time, I would probably not have got the seasoning that they throw in the bowl, as it is a salty concoction, and do you really need seasoning on crab legs? The vibe for a Phillies playoff game that was must win to stay alive in the playoffs was horrible. I picked up a twelve pack of beer at my local bar a few days prior and the vibe at my local bar was about a hundred times better during an earlier Phillies playoff game in the series. I would recommend Chickie's as a last resort or if you are jonesing for bar food. Just don't expect the moon and you should be okay. As always people SYOY!!!

We came specifically for the wings, and if you're a wing lover, this is absolutely the place. The Wing of the Month, Sriracha Maple, was a great starting point. It's exactly what they describe: the perfect blend of heat and sweetness. It reminded me of their classic Hot n Honey, but with an extra kick and more sweetness. An excellent seasonal flavor! For my second order of ten wings I had to get five Hot n Honey, as I t remains the gold standard. Sweet, spicy, and consistently excellent. There's a reason it's a fan favorite. The other five of that order was the Flamin' Pickleback, which was bold, tangy, and spicy in the best way possible. If you love pickles and heat, don't skip this one. My third order of ten were five Sweet Chili and five Korean BBQ. Both were well-balanced and flavorful. Great choices! Between wing rounds, I ordered the sweet potato fries with horseradish sauce, and this combo deserves more love. The sweetness of the fries paired with the sharp, creamy horseradish is a great contrast and a sleeper hit. Highly recommend this order! My boys (ages 14 and 20) always get their burgers and they love the burgers at P.J. Whelihan's and always devour them. To finish the night, (since it was my birthday) I went with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet Sundae: warm cookie, cold ice cream, and pure comfort. A perfect way to end a birthday wing night. The service was solid. Our waitress was very pleasant, however she disappeared at times and we waited for drink refills and reorders longer than I felt we should have had to wait given that it didn't seem that busy at the time. We saw other servers pass us a number of times before our server revisited our table. This isn't the norm though. Their service is usually spot on. Overall, PJ Whelihan's in Horsham is a top-tier spot for wings, especially on Wing Night. Huge variety, consistently great flavors, and a fun, casual atmosphere. Highly recommended if wings are your things like me! And if you love burgers, salads (which we've had in the past too) and friendly service.
