My pretzel nuggets with American cheese dip were great. I wish everyone served pretzels with American cheese. The grilled cheese was great as well. Big drink menu and lots of TVs. The person I was with got the Kona burger. The bacon was undercooked. He wound up not eating it. The main issue was with the service. It took a while for the server to approach our table for our order. Then my food came out and 45 mins the side salad came out for the burger. Then another 15 mins later for the burger. So it took over an hour to get a burger and we wound up not eating together. They have outside seating and an inbetween area which is where we sat.

Loaded tots - a lot of calories but sometimes they hit the spot.

We've stopped here a few times since they opened. We've never been wowed but also never let down either. They have the typical wings, fried appetizers, nachos, etc. you would expect. A lot of different beers on tap. They do have tv's everywhere so you can catch the game while kicking back a few cold ones. We usually do the Loaded Tots, tater tots are my kryptonite. I love them when they're cooked right and seasoned. What takes these over the top is the sour cream drizzle and scallions. These are pretty good. My wife usually wants nachos which I've never been impressed with theirs. They're not bad, just mediocre (although I do like to get the hottest wing sauce and dump some on mine which helps them). The service is good on most occasions but on a few occasions it's been great. We've never had bad service or a bad experience. I think as far as bar food is considered, they do better than most in this area. If you're looking for a fun place to hang out that is consistent, this is a safe bet.

Ordered 20 wings. Korean, barbecue wings and garlic wings ,plus fries . The wings were full of meat and flavor. The Korean were sweet with a little kick. The garlic was very mild. The fries were crispy and had just enough salt. We ordered it to go so they had parking for pick up. All in all very good.

We hit here during happy hour! A little noisy but that's expected! We ordered some boneless wings with hot honey on the side and Pj's Firehouse Chili with(Custom Blended herbs & spices with fresh chorizo & ground beef, slow cooked with red beans, onions & garlic in a fiery tomato broth topped with/ shredded cheddar jack) the chili was meaty and had a great taste! Not sure if The Hot n Honey sauce from the wings killed the heat of the chili but I enjoyed both! I am impressed with the flavor of the Copper Lager it's spot on not hoppy or overly barley! Our server Gisel was very professional, friendly & hospitable had a great sense of how we liked our hot! PJ Williams is a sports bar with a lot of TV's but is also family friendly with their menu.

Visiting my son in Doylestown for a weekend of hiking, gym, football, and pubs. We were watching the early game and had a need to get our assess off the couch. Went to YELP for a nearby spot. PJW was local and looked like they had a lot of big screens, which turned out to be true. Wall to wall big screens, no escaping the games here at all. Kicked the Blantons Single Barrel for a decent price for a decent pour. Was able to take the empty bottle ans horsey home for my next infinity bottle. Thx to Dave the bar manager. Son had two fresh draft Troegs IPAs which he really liked. Loaded tater tots were hot and crispy. Good snack. Great spot for sports, drinks, and bar food.

First impressions do count for something ~ we walked into PJ's, noticed there was no signage directing us to stand there and wait for a hostess or seat ourselves ~ so after awkwardly lingering by the entrance, we decided to just take a booth.  The menu was very promising ~ a little something for everyone's tastes.  Beginning with the cheesesteak eggrolls, they were served three to an order, smaller than the usual restaurant eggrolls, nice and crispy on the outside but...the inside was unidentifiable.  Very liquidity, mushy...they were very unappetizing  and a huge disappointment.    The French onion soup was not a good choice ~ looking forward to the taste of sweet onions that melt in your mouth, it just wasn't.  This too I was unable to eat.  My friend's chicken cheesesteak looked decent although it was a little short on the chicken.    Still very hungry, we ordered dessert ~ the Ghiradelli Chocolate Brownie.  The brownie was a good size, the ice cream was a couple of tablespoon's worth, the whipped cream was nearly nonexistent.     The decor was eye pleasing, the booths comfortable and our server was extremely polite, quick and so attentive.  While the seating area was quite empty, the bar was filled with happy patrons, the walls were  decorated with TV's showcasing every sport and the place was kept spotless.  Unfortunately we wouldn't make a return visit.

Ordered takeout for the first (last) time. I've been here twice to eat and the service and food was good. This review is about my takeout experience. My French dip was pretty bad, the au jus gave me dog food vibes and the meat could have been sourced from Wawa. The steak entree came with raw broccoli. Side salads were pretty nice. What a deeply disappointing meal.

watching the Phillies here with friends was so much fun!

    Ask the Community - P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant - Doylestown

Do they put MSG in the food?

No. But some common seasoning salts contain MSG so you really have no way to prevent it unless you ask for an entree without sauce. The other problem is unless you talk with kitchen personnel the servers and bartenders will probably not be able to…

Food was good. Nice portions. Service was attentive and friendly. We both had the NY strip steaks. Honestly, we asked for medium, they were more medium rare. Seasoning could have been stronger for our tastes. Starter soups and small salads were great. Vegetable sides were mushy and overcooked for our tastes but not a deal breaker. Will we return? Yes. Nice menu selections and also a rotating specials list.

It has a very "railroadesque" feel right down to the art on the walls and the high ceilings. I believe the building was originally part of the Reading Railroad, that, however, could be an urban legend but sitting in the spacious space, I would like to imagine it's true. We have come here a few times over the past year and really, REALLY,want to like the place (which is why we keep coming back) sadly it is one disappointment after the last. Slow service, cold food, orders wrong, etc. I appreciate that the staff always makes things right when there is an issue, but unfortunately, we've had a pattern of problems. While the effort to fix things is appreciated, it is becoming frustrating and uncomfortable to regularly have to send food back or point out the mistakes. When we go out to eat, we just hope to receive the correct order served hot and enjoy a smooth, relaxing experience. It's tough when the drinks sit empty for a long time especially when we try to get the servers attention and they seem to avoid eye contact I understand things can get busy, but we typically come during lunch hours during the week when the restaurant is quiet so it's disappointing that these issues happen consistently. When the food IS correct, and the proper temperature, it just doesn't meet the quality that we find elsewhere. It's almost as though they feel speed takes priority over precision. They just want it plated, and on the pass as quickly as possible. I've even had a waiter rushing to the table, literally dropping fries on the way. Again, this wasn't during happy hour or game or any busy time. Just a very quiet lunch. You know what they say about crazy... "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results" I think I will have to call it quits and accept defeat rather than continue the cycle of insanity. I don't think we will be back to Station.
