This place must be the worse place in the United States to buy an RV. I have never been treated so badly by a business that we spent $150,000 dollars at. We bought this RV in good faith and after they got paid they don't even have the common courtesy of calling us back. We have spoken to the salesman, the service manager, the sales manager and yes even the general manger to get all the warranty issues fixed and now no one will even call us back. Now we have no choice but to contact our attorney to settle this. It is ridiculous and insulting. I implore anyone reading this prior to purchasing an RV from this dealership to read the reviews. Take a look at the reviews of this dealership and you already know this service department doesn't answer the phone or return voicemails. But let me take it one step further and tell you something you might not know. This dealership also flat out lies about their customers, responding to a BBB compliant with a blatant disregard for the truth. For example, they said I "demanded a five minute fix," which is absolutely untrue. I understand these places are busy and supply chain issues are common. All I expected from them was the "same-day service plan when I call between 9am - 5pm during 'Keep You Camping' hours" that they promise on their website and in print during the Sales process. They never offered me any kind of repair plan in the 4 days before I gave up. (I was able to get a "same day repair plan" from a smaller dealership who advertises no such program. Let me be clear, this smaller dealer did not offer me a same-day fix, which I never expected. They offered me a same-day plan and approach to the repair process. It can be done, even the week before a holiday.) They also claimed that the service manager spoke with me. I never spoke with the service manager (on the phone or via email). It's just not true. I wish I had had the opportunity. In fact, it's all I ever expected. Look, if General RV doesn't want customers to expect a "same-day repair plan," then they shouldn't advertise it during the sales process and on their website. It does nothing but set them up for unhappy customers whose expectations aren't being met. And I would certainly never trust a business who blames the customer for communication failures and false advertising from their headquarters or a company who lies about their customers. When you break a brand promise, the correct response isn't to blame the customer, offer no apology, and make them feel stupid. It's to offer an apology and a solution. Jeff, if someone on your team told you I expected a "five minute fix," then it looks like y'all don't just lie about your customers; you lie amongst yourselves, too. If you'd actually spoken directly with me like you claimed to have done, you'd know that I wasn't even demanding a same-day or same-week appointment -- just a plan. This place is a nightmare to deal with. We bought a brand new 2022 Grand Design trailer, May of 22. Within two trips out it had problems. The dealership doesn't want to deal with the problems. It's since been over a year and we are still dealing with the issues. The slide, landing gear, doors falling off. If you are lucky enough to get it in to be repaired, it takes them months. They have absolutely ZERO communication. We were told it was ready to pick up, after I drove up to General RV- because they won't respond to text, calls or email, said it was ready and two hours after I left- they reply- actually it's not- sorry- we will let you know when it will be. Run, don't walk away from the dealership. Look anywhere else. read more

Made the mistake of picking out the trailer we wanted and ordered it from General RV since buying out of our area saved us some money. We arrived for our PDI (6 hour drive) and found that not only did the trailer not have the correct table- the 2nd AC unit that we ordered and were paying for wasn't even installed and no one noticed! If they had- it would have saved us the time and money of that initial trip. After I had to suggest that they swap the table with a correct one and ship us the AC to be installed here, I was able to pick up the trailer 2 weeks later. The 2nd AC was supposed to be shipped directly to me, it is at the shop in Utah now. Spoke to them last week- they were going to look at getting it to me and call back----a week ago! Still waiting for that call back parts department! OH- for the time and trouble I was given a $100 credit that I had to ask for- didn't even cover the wasted gas. Wishing now I had spent the extra money to buy the same unit locally and would encourage you to do the same. read more

Bought my trailer from them in October of 2021. Took it out once in 2022 and on my way home the siding was popping out. Took it in and they supposedly fixed it. First time I took it out this year and the same thing happened. When I reached out to them about it they told me my 1 year warranty had expired and my 90 repair window had expired as well. Absolutley ridiculous!!! The lettering on the trailer is already peeling off. I had a Jayco previously for over 10 years and it was in better condition when I sold it than my 2 year old trailer is now. read more

If I could rate this business with a negative I would. One disappoint after another with dealing with General RV. The purchase of our RV was suppose to be a fun and exciting experience but instead it was a total nightmare. We purchased a brand new 2019 Fleetwood Discovery last July. We have had issues with this motorhome since we pulled it off the lot. The service and communication with General RV was an absolute miserable experience. Every individual that we had contact with besides our salesman has been nothing but lies and horrible communication. After dealing with the service manager and their reps for the past ten months, and not getting any resolutions, We finally had left a message for their manager, (P), back in July to see if maybe he can get our issues resolved. We went in personally on a Monday and spoke with the office and they said he was out until Wednesday. They told me that if he didn't call me by Thursday to call them back personally and they would help us. Thursday came and still no word from him. So I called General RV and the lady that answered the phone said that he was out on vacation all week. I found that oddly suspicious as we were in that very Monday and she said that he was out for the day but that if I didn't hear back by Wednesday to call her back. I left another message asking him to call me back when he returned. Till this day, I still have not heard from their general manager. We have had several issues with our rv which included the bed. They have replaced the motor twice, sensors at least three, and come to find out the other day, it was just programed wrong. The back up camera has be in out since the day we pulled it off the lot. For us it's a safety issue. When you don't have one camera, it can really put you in a bind if you can't see everything. I have even recorded videos of our issue and sent them to the service manager and rep and till this day, it's not fixed. In total our motorhome had been out of commission almost three months. When General RV says they will order the part, you need to make sure they do because our's weren't ordered when they said they were. The other issue we had during our warranty was our toilet. My husband was so frustrated with General RV that he dealt with the toilet manufacturer himself and was able to replace the toilet himself. The only positive thing that came out of this whole crazy experience, is that my husband knows more about our RV than the company does. He has fixed many issues on his own which they couldn't figure out. We will never purchase another RV from them or we will ever recommend this company to anyone. Totally disappointed! Tina read more

I left an amazing review for this dealership but that has changed. Once the sale is closed the relationship is over. Everyone is way to busy to help or talk to you. I can't wait to put this review everywhere and call and talk to the corporate offices. I have had this unit for less than 3 months and now I'm on TX where I have to be and no one will touch it. I've called sales and services and NO ONE WILL HELP. I fell like I bought a house and everyone there says thanks, YOU ARE ON YIUR OWN. Here is what's going on, tell me that this is normal and it's fair? 2018 Winnebago Forza 38F - Storage Doors open when driving and they have been adjusted 2 times and I paid someone to fix them both times but they were adjusted at the dealer in salt lake and still open. One was even damaged as it opened while I was driving. I'm down to two doors still opening. Image this happening when driving downs freeway. - Molding on the front main window coming off the top. - Bathroom walls pealing, it's paper. - Rear AC not pushing cold air like it use to and the water running off out side makes lakes of water. Not to mention the noise. The front AC seems fine and less water running off the coach but it also started leaking inside today. - Picture in the master mounted crooked and I didn't notice it and now their is no way to fix it without another hole in the wall. - Sound bar no longer working for surround sound. - Waiting for missing molding and remote for now over 2 months. Plus I still don't have the tags since they can't seem to get the paperwork right. - Back splash around kitchen separating from the wall. - Drivers side window molding keeps falling off. - Steal grate over engine in the back has come off. - Window sealant outside has oozed out more and looks horrible. - Winnebago logo on the front separating from the rig. - NO BRAKE LIGHTS That's all I'm two months and the rig wasn't free by any means. Tell me that is how a sale should go? Tell me those issues are normal and everyone is to busy or it's their day off Or they don't call back. What an unbelievably horrible experience. read more

Once again General RV disappoints. Because we bought our coach there it's difficult to get service anywhere else. So last year when we needed a pipe repair from the gray tank to the dump port we went to General RV. This year when we got the RV out for the first time, which was only a few weeks ago, that pipe was still leaking. So much so that it emptied everything in the gray tank. So I called General RV to ask them about their warranty. They said, "oh, it's 90 days." So if you're gonna have them do a repair wait till the beginning of the season so that when they screw it up at least it'll be under warranty. Of course by that time they may change the warranty and shorten it even more. read more

The service in this place has been a joke from the word go. The latest "disappointment", they were to order the whole bottom piece of our trailer to install. We live about 70 miles from this dealership. My husband took it all the way down there, (again) only for them to call him and tell him they ordered the wrong part. We are in the process of picking up class a we ordered in January from General RV in Draper. I want to give them a shoutout because so far things are going well and service has been great, and I know people tend to only post the bad. We drove out from CaliforCalifornia to pick it up. Bobby, our sales person was great to work with during the sale, and has been good since we got here. We had a little trouble with the gal doing the initial walk through, but once Bobby got involved it went fine. We knew there would be punch list items, there always are, but so far they are being responsive and handling them well, knowing we have to get back home. We did allow a few days here just for that reason. Jeff even helped us with a wiring problem with our tow behind so we don't have to drive both home. Went to the RV show in Hersey PA. GENERAL RV was one of largest companies there. The first travel trailer we saw we loved it. Got information on it and continue to look at other RVs nothing was a great looking as that first one. We were heading back to leave when a sale person stopped us and asked us what kind we were looking for we told her and find out she was with General RV also. We talked try to get the price that we wanted for our camper ( no luck ) also the payment we could afford (almost). When to finance said all the right things that was the 16 of September have not heard from no one. They took our $500 deposit and that was the last we heard from anyone. This company is like Camping World would not buy or recommend General to anyone. I think their plan was take as many customers' $500 as they could. I stopped by General RV for a part that I needed for my camper. After having no luck at a same-named RV dealership in St. George and Hurricane, it was off to General RV in Draper, Utah. I was assisted by Ed Panek and he spent at least 15-25 minutes researching the part that I needed. After Ed completed his research, I found that the part could be one of two that he had found. So, back home I went and the following weekend, I stopped to see Ed again. We confirmed the part number and the order was placed. The factory delivered the part to General RV approximately 5 1/2 weeks later. Ed left a message letting me know the part was in and I also received an automated message stating the same. I appreciated the time that Ed spent in helping to ensure I received the correct part. And it was! The employees at the service desk were all very friendly. I will certainly return for any other parts I need for my RV! read more

We had a problem with our slide out. We stopped in Richfield to have it checked as we were heading East on HWY 70. Jorgensens found the problem but couldn't fix it. They and Tiffin recommended we take it to the dealer in Draper, UT. On a Friday afternoon we drove 170 miles off course and landed in Draper at 3:45 pm. They had a several month backlog on service but the very nice receptionist got the service manager. He checked on our situation and had the technician look at our RV. The technician diagnosed and fixed the problem. Happily we were back on our way. Highly recommend General RV Center in Draper. read more

After we purchased a new 2023 camper van, with cash, the salesman just treated us butt ugly rude. The office paperwork guy was not very nice after we declined an outrageous priced extended warranty. There's more: when we picked up the vehicle the walk through lady got huffy and a snotty when I corrected her and told her the vehicle was gas powered , not diesel powered. We actually got into an argument about it. I finally had to show her that there was no place to putt in the diesel def fluid. She couldn't or wouldn't answer basic questions and just got and mad and ended our session. I had to read the book on my own to understand how to operate the vehicles systems. We won't be buying here again or recommend this place. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because we really like the vehicle, and Kristen, in the service department, has been real nice and helped us with warranty issues. read more

I decided to put off my review for a months to see what kind of follow up I would eceive from General RV. We purchased our 2017 Fleetwood Discovery 38K on June 10, 2017 I will try to make this short by not going into every detail. I found the RV we wanted online in Utah. Being from California I was a little worried that the RV may not be in perfect condition, so I asked that it be carefully looked at before we made the trip. This is not my first rodeo and I understand most RV's are not in perfect condition, unfortunately they have some type of damage or items that need addressing. With that said I was not expecting a long list of major items that need be addressed on a RV that had a MSRP of $295,450. The same RV that I was assured had NO issues when it was "Looked Over" by the Sales Associate. We flew in on a Friday night and Saturday we headed over to pick up our RV. When we finally got home the list of items grew and that Monday I called and emailed the very lengthy list to the Manager that assisted me with the purchase along with the Sales Associate. Since Monday June 12 General has not once followed up with me. They have not once called to make sure I found someone to handle my issues or see if I needed any further assistance. General RV is a perfect example of why the "Sales" process has such a bad preputation. Once the item is sold the consideration for the customer or care is completely gone. I reached out to Fleetwood/REV and spoke to everyone from Jim Jacobs President REV RV Group to Denis Rumschlag Senior Owner Relations Rep. They have assisted me with every aspect of the situation, from finding a local shop to assist in my repairs to following up to make sure parts are being expedited. If I could leave zero stars...I would! Do not waste your time or your money here. Sales (Ray Jr) was an absolute joke. Definitely a bait and switch. I called days in advance to schedule to look at an RV. Got there, he couldn't answer any questions, not courteous I imagine because I was only looking at spending $70K. Didn't offer my wife and I any sort of service i.e. to sit down, a drink of water, eye contact, etc. Walked away from us after viewing the RV (and several more expensive models) only to come back to me and say that the RV we were looking at "sold an hour ago". If infant this was sold, it was sold right out from underneath us. We stood up to leave and he had nothing to say, just continued scrolling on his phone. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!!!!!! Rather than replying to me about how sorry management is to hear of this experience, I recommend using that time and those resources to hire staff that actually have customer service skills, have knowledge about the RVs you have and are interested in selling them!!! read more

Let's start with the good: The salesman was professional. Help me out over the phone. He helped me get all the custom stuff I wanted done and he always called me back super quick and was professional. Now, when I finally signed the paperwork to purchase my new trailer, all of that went out the window. Now the bad: They have done a full 180. They called me down to pick up my new trailer upon arriving told me that it was broken and gave me an ultimatum, Either leave it until it was ready to take it home or I could take it home without the repairs. I made the choice of leading the trailer there to get the repairs needed. I live about 2 hours from this location, So driving down there and then not being able to pick up my trailer was not only heartbreaking, but expensive, especially when fuel prices were in the $5 range for diesel. After using it for a few camping trips, I have a few warranty things that need to be completed. I have been trying for four days to get on the schedule for repairs. I have called them now over 12 times, with no one to call me back. Their schedulers are never there, and I don't believe that they actually exist. Some of them have voicemails. Some of them ring and then just hang up. So far, going with this company has been a mistake, because as soon as you sign that dotted line, they no longer care about you or try to keep you happy. Especially after you just spent almost $100,000. If you can, find another dealer to go through. Unfortunately, this was the only dealership near me that Sells the trailer manufacturer that I wanted to go with. If I had a choice, I would have gone anywhere else. I mean, let's be real. How good is a warranty if you can never get a hold of them to get your trailer in for warranty? If I were to do it again, I would use this company to pick out the perfect trailer that I would want, and then I would go somewhere else and just put in the order. tldr; Going through the sale process and having a salesman show you all of the trailers is a great experience. When I went to pick up my RV the lady who was helping me learn about my RV was short tempered and rude. When I would ask questions she would roll her eyes and tell me that she didn't know and I should look it up. They pushed me out of the lot without a lot of information about my RV. While driving home my RV began having problems to the point that I was driving 15-30 mph on the highway. It turns out there was a lot of problems with the engine and wiring of the RV. I ended having to have it towed first to a local mechanic, who could not figure it out, and then to the Benz mechanic down in Salt Lake. Seeing as I had just bought it, it was of course under warranty, but the Benz Mechanics said the RV place would have known about these problems. They also stated they get problems from this RV sales place ALL THE TIME. We also had to pay to put in an automatic leveler for the RV, even though we were told multiple times it came with one. And now that we have it back from the Benz mechanics we are finding that the automatic leveler does not work. Next, we have found that the wiring for the air conditioner is faulty and we will probably have to take it back down to the dealer again to get it fixed. That is if we can ever get ahold of the general manager. We have tried leaving messages for the past week, as instructed, and have received nothing back. LONG STORY SHORT: DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! Beware! They are currently under investigation for fraud by the State of Utah. Besides their usual crappy service (My buddy bought an RV from them 4 years ago, service issues are such a mess, he drives 15 miles out of his way to another dealer for service), it appears they changed a financial document to cost the owner an additional 63K on a 100K purchase. They changed the original from 240 months to 120 months and are now demanding a 63K balloon payment. FOX13, our local TV station did an investigative report after them refusing to even call the owner. The forgery is ridiculously juvenile. My kid could have done better. But, you can definitely tell it was changed. All the other pages are correct. I hope they lose their business license and someone goes to prison. read more

Purchased a trailer and paid for premium care package on the interior and exterior of the trailer, was promised delivery the following Monday or Tuesday. One week later called and our trailer still wasn't done, somehow the paperwork was lost. Called to see what it would cost for them to put on the two brackets for the hitch at pickup, and they offered to install it for the inconvenience of the wait. Great job General RV!!! read more

Crooks. On several occasions they have altered the contracts AFTER they were signed, leaving us and other customers with massive balloon payment a quarter of the way through the contract. Fox 13 helped expose this, which led to the State opening a fraud investigating. I believe they did this so they could receive 5 years worth of payments then repossess our RV to resell it. I don't even know where to start with this business...they literally don't even deserve one star. We bought a brand new Motorhome from them and that process was pretty smooth...fast forward a day, a week, a month 6 months and it has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE working this EVERYONE there. We order stuff through them, they forget to order it or lose our item and it takes months...we go to have our Motorhome fixed with them because it's under warranty and they seem to screw that up too (leaving the filter in when winterized, not fixing the shower door correctly, telling us "that's just the way it is" when clearly it's not). Pretty much THEY SUCK!!! and I would NEVER go to them again and would advise everyone not to. The definition of a NIGHTMARE !!! " Please read before considering General RV. We purchased a 2021 Fleetwood Discovery in Sept. of 2020 . We did a walk thru , several concerns  and  we were told  all items would be repaired or replaced at our first service . Our biggest concern was a crushed tile in front of the refrigerator "Oh , no problem ,we will replace that at the first service  , you have extra tiles in your storage area. Other parts on order . Take your motorhome and have fun . First service comes we are then  told we need to take the motor home back to the factory in Indiana to get the tile repaired . Yes , back to the factory. We were also told the other replacement parts that were ordered at delivery were not ordered and we would have to come back 4 days in service nothing done . We return again and  only got one item repaired , a missing blind . All other items still not completed. . Third visit ,  5 days , nothing , nothing done again. We called the Operation Manager (Trae) , no return call , we called the body shop manager, no return call, we called  the General RV corporate headquarters 3 times and finally a promise on the third call that someone from the Dover store will call within 48 hours  . 72 hour plus and no call .Another call, now the 4th to Corporate and we do , 3 days later, get a call from the Drew service manager at the Tampa Store. He did apologize for the poor service , poor communication and explained that his service writers were under pressure and  that was the reason they made up the untrue stories we were told ..The  additional expenses we have , motels ,food , RV park reservations ,etc , since we are fulltime , were to be expected according  to him. His only resolution was for US to call the Rev Group and see who they would recommend to go to get our issues resolved as he did not have the confidence that they would make the repairs . Yes , take it elsewhere ......In other words the only reason for the call was to get rid of us ! This is a short version in hopes others will read this and avoid General RV at all costs ! Well, I guess the reviews do not lie. I have been talking to a person at their corporate on trading in my travel trailer for a new one. My wife and I went up and viewed the trailer we decided on and figures we would get a decent price. Then after sending in all my information as he said he was waiting for the final offer for my trailer that books out in NADA for 22K, and the final price on the trailer we selected. I was just offered 19K for my trailer on a trade in last weekend and is in excellent condition. After all this they said they would come in at $12,500. I was just startled, are you joking as I have already been in contact with the Credit union on the value, as well as ran the NADA value again! I told this jerk to kiss off and never contact me again. This Company is the worst on this earth of ours and are nothing but liars. So, I will keep my trailer and de-winterize, and if I want, I will sell it myself later on. I just called USAA and talked to their finance department, and they informed me what just happened is not right and advised me to go to another dealer.
