Do not buy from them I bought a 100k 5th wheel in at the end of 2025 and it sat in one spot it's whole life and the gray tank falls out , again it's been sitting in one spot it's entire life it's 2 years old and they tried to charge me 2800$ + to fix they said it's not something they can fix when I brought it to there shop , it just fell because of the manufacturer failure to secure it , yes I contacted the manufacturer also .... i provided the seal for the main door. It was given to me in 2 pcs by the dealership I bought it from. 1 pc was long enough to do the entire door. When i picked up the MH I noticed they spliced the seal and had applied an adhesive to join the 2 pcs. The joint has no pulled apart significantly and I'll have to have someone else install it correctly. Otherwise we love the MH. read more

No aggressive upsell, kept me updated at least daily and was honest and straightforward regarding costs and my options. TOOK THE INITIATIVE and asked if I was a veteran which permitted selected discounts-didn't need to do that and I certainly never thought to ask. Billy, sales person, spent 30 mins going over our requirements for a motorhome and travel trailer. He specifically said he knew nothing about motorhomes, only travel trailers. He took us on the lot and drove like a bat out of hell on with a golf cart, even though I'm walking with a cane did not know the products did not pay attention to what we were asking for and hit a curb with a golf cart while we were driving through the lot, then copped an attitude when we told him that we were not looking for what he was taking us to. Expressed our concerns to the manager, who said he would address it with Billy hopefully this happens before they lose more customers or before someone else gets hurt. read more

I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership. My experience has been extremely disappointing due to unprofessional conduct, poor customer service, and a lack of accountability. The staff appeared untrained, and management showed little regard for either their employees or the customers who support their business. I also have serious concerns about unethical practices and a pattern of deflecting responsibility rather than addressing issues directly. There are many other reputable dealerships that value integrity and customer care--please consider taking your business elsewhere. Please read all of the General RV reviews before purchasing at any General RV. We stopped by General RV to check out their new RVs, as we had heard good things about the company. Boy was I wrong. The sales agent Chuck told us how great the company was, they were there for their customers at all times. We were so happy and fell in love with a 2024 Thor windsport. It was perfect. So then we went inside to work out the numbers. The guy in charge of that Adam agreed to somewhat of what we wanted and out a deposit on the unit we saw. Then we went to financing and gave our info. Since it was late the finance guy Jason stated he would work on the deal and let us know. The next day he requested our business and personal tax returns. We gave him all the info. But then 2 days later, the finance guy, Jason, informed us that we were only approved for a much higher monthly fee than we had wanted. We requested our deposit back, but Adam called us two days later and said he had gotten us the deal we wanted. When we went in to sign the paperwork and pick up the RV, the process took much longer than expected. It was supposed to take a couple of hours, however it took like 7 hours. It was just awful. The RV walkthrough went fine, but we had to wait for financing due to issues with the VIN number. We also encountered problems with the additional services we elected to purchase, which caused further delays. We didn't think anything of it. Finally, in finance, we elected to get the tire thing and diamond coat. They completed it while we were there. We did meet a couple in the lobby who apparently purchased the tire thing and diamond coat and were told it was completed when it wasn't. They were there for almost 6 hours. Additionally, we discovered that the RV we received was not the one we had originally chosen. We discovered it halfway done the road from General RV. We turned around and told them, and they were like yea sorry we thought it was the same model, the other one had problems. We were furious, but they apologized and stated they would make it right and add on the upgrades. We are also missing a table and a couple of other things. Maria stated they had ordered it all and they would make it right. I trusted her and Adam. After finally leaving with the RV, we went on a trip and the generator broke down. We called General RV and asked for service or anyone who could help since we were on the road. We called 9 times, got hung up on, transferred around and no one helped, until finally the front desk stated oh, they are closed there is nothing we can do. So, we drove for 4 hours without the A/c on in the back due to the generator breaking. When we returned, we called the service department, they stated they did not have anyone to fix it and that we had to call Cummins. They gave me the number to Cummins. I contacted Cummins and the fort Myers location was closed. They told me they only had a Tampa or Miami office which are over 3 hours from me. I called the service department again and they stated there was nothing I could do there. I then called Cummins again and they told me to service it at La Mesa. I contacted them and took it in. They repaired the generator after a week in service. The fuel pump was bad. We then parked the RV for a couple of days, bringing it back home after the generator stopped working again. Mind we have only had the RV for 4 weeks and all this happened. We called La Mesa and they only had a service appointment 2 weeks out. I called the manager at General RV to explain everything that happened, he kind of told me he could not help me and to call Cummins and figure it out or call Thor concierge. I contacted Thor they also brushed me off and said there was nothing they could do. Then I must drive to Tampa, Orlando, or Miami to fix it. I could not believe she treated me that way. I was frustrated by the lack of support and the constant passing of responsibility. I honestly would never recommend you to anyone. After what I have been through and still going through. No one wants to help; everyone passes the buck. I have been on the road and the phone longer trying to fix it than actually owning it. I purchased a new unit because I thought it would be best so I would not have an issue, however, this experience has been the worst! The salesperson is a liar. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I wish I had read the reviews before making a purchase, as it has been the worst experience of our lives. My wife and I purchased a new leftover 2024 RV 5th Wheel Camper while wintering in South Florida in 2025. After about three days after taking delivery of our new camper, we discovered the Furrion DC Refrigerator had quit cooling. I immediately contacted Jayco and attempted to jump through the considerable hoops that the manufacturer LCI (Lippert) has established to no doubt discourage warranty service. After some considerable problems with that, we attempted to contact General RV, and although we first had some issues making contact with the right person, we received great attention while they navigated the considerable hoops that LCI has to discourage warranty service. The General RV folks at the Ft Meyers Location, especially Gage, our service writer handled everything. (I would add that LCI was apparently being difficult with them as well, not disclosing the entire process up front). It did take several weeks to get the repairs approved and the new part (a main electronic control board that they apparently have had considerable problems with). But once the part was received the General RV folks got us right in, it replaced, and the unit back to us while I waited. Thanks General RV for your persistence! We went to the Fort Myers RV show and found an Alliance Delta 294RK at the General RV booth. After a little negotiating we decided to trade our 2016 travel trailer for this 2024 travel trailer. We had to wait two weeks to get our unit (we bought on last day of the show so many wanted delivery before us) when we went in to do the pre delivery inspection, Judy was assigned to us. In my opinion, nice lady but needs training to do a PDI. A PDI is to demonstrate the features of the unit, not to say this looks nice and that looks nice. We did find a few things that needed attention which were addressed. Delivery the next day went smoothly. We did have two issues after the delivery, one being major. Deborah in the service department was right on it both times. Deborah gave me faith in RV dealerships after the sale. This is a recommended RV dealership! read more

Bought my RV up north where I live. Visiting my parents in Ft. Myers and they wanted to see what I bought. Went to General RV and asked if they could do us a favor and let us view an RV on site; store was not busy at the time. Receptionist got us a salesperson and he kindly got a golf cart for us as my folks can't walk too far and took us to an RV and back to the car. His name is Raymond Davis. He was very kind and it was much appreciated. It truly made their week to be able to see this RV and we had time in it. Ray did not push us to move on; just let us have the experience. I would not recommend General RV Fort Myers to my worst enemy. We purchased a 2024 Nexus RV being told it came with a ladder, spare tire, and was a 50 amp unit. Walk through fine but they wanted to replace battery in generator fob before we took it. 4 hours later, Maria finally said, oh you guys are still here let me get on this. Told us they can't locate a battery and will mail it or even drive it to Naples. Took our coach home only to find out the stabilizers would not come down, no ladder and no spare tire. Took the unit back up to Fort Myers the next day and my husband waited 6 hours for them to fix , was told no ladder and no spare tire came with this unit.Fine, but that is not what we were told. To bad on our part. I called numberous times to find out what was going on as my husband was there calling me that no one had come to talk to him. They had no idea what they were doing about the stabilizers and had to call Nexus RV. One woman answered the phone, and when I told her who I was and that my husband had been there like 3 hours and no one was talking to him letting him know what was going on, she laughed, and said oh yeah, he has been here quite a while. Not funny to me!! Finally after 6 hours and numerous calls of not answering, leaving messages with no return calls, or calls of passing the buck, my husband got our RV back. Took it out on a 2 wk vacation and had multiple issues with the electrical things going wrong and awning not going in correctly. Took it back to General RV and they originally showed us other units and I said "Can you not fix mine?" They reassured me they could and we would here something in a few days. After 5 days,, my husband stopped by to find out what was going on. He waited over 2 hours with no response. While he was there I called multiple times trying to reach someone with no success. Finally asked to speak to the manager who in turn told the receptionist he had my information on his desk and would get to me when he had time. (Jamie) No return call and late afternoon received a text from Christopher saying nothing was wrong other than they needed an approval from NexusRv to fix the awning, which would take another 5-10 days. Called and spoke to Christopher and told him we would be up to pick up the RV the next morning. When we arrived,were told that the manager (Jeff) was in a meeting and to sit and wait, after the worst experience in our lives with waiting and noone coming to let us know what was going on, I told them to get me someone now. Just give me my RV and I'll be done with you. (have to say I wasn't quite that nice about it at this point) Jeff and Christopher from service both tried to explain to us that everything was fine and how the electrical was working just perfectly. At this point, I was no longer listening to their lies. Last words between Christopher and myself was him saying "as soon as I hear from NexusRV about the awning, I will reach out to you" I had already been in touch with NexusRV and had a mobile technician coming out to my house to go through the electrical as I had no faith in these people. But my response to Christopher was "Oh, you'll hear from them cause I have already been in touch and will make sure they get back to you" Once we got the coach back home I did find 2 wire clippings and numerous small pieces are wiring near the fuse box. But they didn't fix anything, Yeah right!! A week later I called there just before the tech was coming as I had another electrical issue going on and wanted to know if they had any clues what it might be and also to check and see if Nexus had responded to them. (although my rep from Nexus had told me they had not rec'd anything from them) Jeff called me back and said they did not have any clues what could be wrong and if I could call him after the tech and let him know what they had found. Asked about the awning issue and he said he would have Christopher text me. Well, when that text came he told me their technician had already fixed the awning. WHEN????? I called back to Jeff (Service Manager) who tried to tell me that during our walk through when we came to pick the RV up they had told us they had it fixed and that he clearly remembered this conversation. To which I said, Jeff, I was there to and do you not remember Christopher telling me he would get in touch with me once he heard from Nexus??? Nope, they told us it was fixed. I have never in my life been so taken aback by their lack of honesty. There were other numerous little tid bits that I did not include in this review where I feel that they truly disrespect any female who is involved in the purchase of a new coach. I would never recommend you to anyone and will tell anyone who will listen about the horrible experience and dishonesty that your service department showed me. I too wish I had read your reviews before ever stepping foot in your door as you would not have seen my face. MY BAD!! read more
