So, I had some issues with them years ago trying to bill me for covered warranty work, but I gave them another try after they changed some of their staff, and so far I'm tentatively a fan. it's always more than you want to spend, but I've had issues with local guys learning about the new emissions systems and doing fishing expeditions on your truck... so now I'm back to using the dealer... at least they know what to fix on the emissions system the first time... read more

I asked for a highway truck, but the salesman at General Truck Center lied and got me to buy a city truck. It cost triple to drive it cross country, the box leaked enough to flood, the engine started knocking, and then the AC didn't even work which I didn't learn until I drove to warmer weather. It was clear I had been screwed. When I then returned the truck to get something different or a refund, they refused to accept responsibility for their lies and instead reported the truck as abandoned. They kept my deposit and told me to go away. There are many better and more honest truck sales lots around. Save yourself the loss and anguish and DO NOT BUY from General Truck Center. read more

They had one truck there for a month trying to repair it. At the end of the month, they reset the computer. that's all. Why did it take a month? or there was the time that they used up my full tank of gas, and then tried to charge $150 for gas, because they ran through the full tank, and had to fill it up twice more. really? I don't even want to give them one star. Absolute worst truck service. Brought a work truck there because the breaks locked up truck ran fine. Went to pick it up and it won't start. They are trying to say the engine was blown when it came in... BULLSHIT. Never going there again and I suggest you don't either! read more

I'm not exactly sure where some of the low star rating come from here. General Truck has been taking care of my fleet of trucks without fail for about 5 years now. Occasionally we have a hiccup or two with availability of parts of delays due to weather, or technician time-off or whatever. But they have been more than fair with all aspects of delays. The pricing is right in line, or better, than most other dealerships around. I don't tell them but I shop them around to make sure they are being fair to us. And they are. Rick takes care of us with Service, Chris in Parts and Matt is the guy to turn to when it comes time to rotate new trucks into my fleet. All in all, I couldn't be happier with General. read more

Been trying to give Hino a chance forever. Truck is a $80,000 Hino less than 4 years old, with less than 80,000 miles. Bought a new Hino to avoid expensive repair bills, and down time on for deliveries. Been in the shop for repairs 14 times in 4 years. My experience with Hino has been a total disaster from day one. I'm not sure how General Truck Center can call them selves a "truck dealership". The parts department may as well just not exist as they seem to be unable to look up parts with out matching the old one even if I present them the vin, then again it's highly unlikely they would have it anyway with the amount of parts they stock but if your willing to wait a week for the parts they can look up this is the place for you. The service department is a joke, if your just looking to have a problem solved go elsewhere. I had a particular problem that required a $80 part that I installed my self in under 10 minutes and was able to solve the same problem that General Truck quoted me about $4,800 to do "properly". I'm thinking every thing they do is a shot in the dark as accuracy and doing things in a timely manner doesn't seem to be their style. I'll now be driving 75 miles to another dealer of I need so much as a light bulb I can't find in a common parts store. read more
