I had a generator installed by this business. My transfer panel shorted out last night - smoke, power loss, generally fried. I called the 24 hour line and talked with the call center operator. They took my information and said a technician would call me back. No call back from them. Today, I called and talked to the service department. They have no knowledge of my call. Nobody scheduled to call me back. They said they could put me on their schedule and will probably get back to me in the next 2 days. Not quite the customer service I was expecting when pay a monthly fee to get premium service. I could call a local electrician and get better service. read more

The code we got was 1902, which apparently is VERY common and a manufacturing defect. Of course couldn't get service anywhere because we didn't purchase there, and super center was MIA! they are very rude and unprofessional. paid them 50% down on 1/16 and had to call them to come out to do their measurements to apply for permits. they finally came it was 2/15 and never heard back so we called the to get an update 3/12 to be told the permit was denied because they were trying to place it too close to fence. they have never given us an update with out us calling. we tried numerous times to get them to communicate and they are unwilling. I'm not sure they would have ever contacted us just took the 7000 and forgot. when we texted the contacts we had with our concerns they became rude. I do not recommend doing business with them. They started out as pretty solid...at least I thought. We have the maintenance contract with live cellular monitoring. We had to have some electrical work done and last Monday we shut down the generator. I had emailed them with no response, so I then expected a call. Nothing...for over four days. Finally powered it back up on Thursday afternoon. Called them today to ask about this. Was told that they "try" to call customers, but that instead they dispatch a technician. Now, why would you send a technician when you have no idea the issue and even of the customer would be home. Plus, four days and no technician. This is hurricane season. I can change the plugs, oil and filters myself. I feel the value is in the monitoring. I then asked for a manager and was told nobody was available. If you use them for service/monitoring, I would suggest you shut down your unit and see if anyone is really monitoring. read more

We had a Generac 24kW installed. We were informed of the long delay up front and thus expected it. What we did not expect is the haphazard and incomplete work for the installation. Our generator was installed in February and we are still waiting for them to fix issues where they unnecessarily damaged brick on the house. At the outset, they agreed to repair it, but Amy doesn't return phone calls, so the unfinished work still remains. Also watch out for their gas line installer crews. While their other work crews were competent and wanted to do the right thing for the customer, the gas installers didn't care and wanted to do as little as possible. They are responsible for the unfixed damaged brick. Yet another area of concern is their selling of monitoring services. I was told that I'd would receive a year of free monitoring, but they don't appear to be interested in honoring that. They also work to obscure the fact that free monitoring is available via Generac. Be careful with this company. Growth has meant that the customer is less of a priority. read more

waited 16 weeks plus for my install. the main crew that installed was not bad. they covered up the hole they dug to run the wiring and covered it back up correctly. the Gas line crew is a different story. i had crushed granite along the area where they dug for the gas line. They are did a crappy job covering it back up. not only did they put all my crush granite in the bottom of the hole, they didn't even pack it down., stepped on that area and sunk down to the bottom and im on #170. i now have a giant mud puddle where i use to have crushed granite and grass. I called Generator Super Center to let them know and they told me to email pictures. They had me do all of this just to tell me that they don't take any responsibility for these types of damage, very unprofessional company. I now understand why they are a 2-star company. read more

generac supercenter in tomball texas does not even deserve one star!! They installed a generator for us. My husband was 75 and I was 70 at the time they installed it. They ran it through the roof of our house which was fine - except for a foot of the line going in and out of the roof some ignoramus attached the gas line onto the inside of the roof. We were unaware of this. Then two years later we had to have our roof replaced. We and the roofer were unaware of the stupidity generac supercenter had done in the installation, and on the side that was attached to the bottom of the roof going into the attic a roofing nail went through the gas line. It took several months before there was enough gas leaked into the attic to make us aware of the problem. I had to pay for a plumber to come out and find where the gas leak was. It is just a miracle that we did not have a severe explosion, and or fire. I expected Generac Supercenter to immediately take charge of the situation due to the danger they had placed us and our house in. Spoke with Miranda Soto four different times, all I was told was they do not warranty their installation. I made sure she understood the danger we and our house was in. She politely told me it was no concern to generac supercenter. No one never came out, so after more than a month of trying to work with these idiots I had the problem fixed. The only thing Generac supercenter was worried about was that I had given them a bad review. I removed the bad review and sent a message that I had removed it, and they did not even bother to read my message. I thought this would encourage them to fix their stupidity. But never heard from anyone, so I am posting the bad review again in hopes that I save someone else from making a mistake by buying anything from this company. read more

He identifed himself and let us know what he would be checking for. So glad he came since it's hurricane season. He explained everything in detail that I could understand and was very nice. I sure wish I could give these stupid donkeys a "0" on the stars scale. Right off the bat we got off on the wrong foot and continued down that road for 8 months. So, sit back and Ill tell you a little tale. After the great Texas freeze of February 2021, I called these lame monkeys to come put a generator in. I was told it would be 8-10 months before it could get installed. I understood the reasoning (Covid and high demand) and agreed to the wait, no prob. In the meantime, I put a few grand down on this generator, I even drove up to Tomball to put the cash down. Not ONCE was I notified of the status of how this was progressing. I called this office in Tomball 17 times. EVERY time I was told I would get a call back. Guess how many call-backs I received? That would be ZERO! Fast forward 6 months and I get a generic email from these retarded orangutans stating that I was in the "permit phase". "Ok, cool" I thought. Nah, It wasn't cool. Same story as before. I called asking for an update every few weeks or so, they put me on hold and then said they would call me back. Same thing....not one callback. Fast forward 3 months.....not a peep from these brainless apes. So now, Im done with these moronic chimps. I decide to sell my house. So, I call these dense primates and ask for my cash back. Now, this is the ONLY positive thing I have to say about these simple simians. They actually gave me every penny back. So, back to the review... I get the cash back from them and all is well....untill I'm in escrow on the property. Come to find out that these complete and total jackasses put a lien on my home. It used to be a great company, but I guess they got to be to big and just don't care anymore. My generator was services in July 2021 and died in August 2021. They finally removed the monitor in December of 2021 but I get charged $37.00 monthly fee. Called several times just to hear apology and promise of no more charges just to be charged again. By the way I was charged over $350 during the last service (battery charger and starter replaced) just to see it brake (not sure what happened because I could not get a straight answer from the technician) a month later. I was looking for a company that could service my whole house generator, when interviewing Generator Supercenter they basically told me what I wanted to hear, what sold me was the 24/7 monitoring. I signed a annual contract with them. this is where the issues came to fruition, in order for them to service the unit, they had to charge $220 to come out and check the set up since they did not install it, I was told that would be reduced from the annual cost. they right away charged my CC, I heard nothing from them until one day in the middle of the afternoon I get a knock on my door, they sent out a person to look at my unit, no call no email. I let him in and 10 minutes later he was gone, no, sir I am done, I noticed he had also left me a voice mail as he was knocking on my door, so called the number and I asked you coming back which he replied NO, I am done and oh by the way, I added the Monitor to your unit and in a week you will get a welcome email. I asked if my unit was serviced, no I just came to look. I called the home office and let them know what happened and they claimed they talked to me about the appointment but will make notes that they need my permission to enter my property since I need to open the electric gate. Week or so later , no welcome email, I called again and they said oh that might be another week or so, I asked about the annual service. they said oh that is scheduled 10/4 at noon. again no one called and asked when they could come out. on 10/4 noon came and went at 3 p.m. I called and was told oh let us find out where the service person is, I asked to speak to a supervisor she assured me that he was on the was 45 min away also mentioned the email about the Monitoring service, turns out they had my E-mail wrong, they got it right to get my payment info. I logged on to the service and it showed the history for the past month of how my unit was working, all fine Battery showed 13.1 V 11.0 is need to run normally. the Guy finally showed up, I work from home so it is important that if you are going to show up at my door, I best not be on a call, he seemed bothered that he had to call me to let me know he was there. I opened the gate for him, without warning he turned off my power in a middle of a conference call. 5 minutes later, he knocks on my door, tells me my battery is leaking and needs to be replaced, I mentioned what the website showed and he said "well if you want to believe the website" so here is this company pushing the 24/7 monitoring and their own employees don't trust it. needless to say, I am no longer a customer, instead of trying to make good , they had the nerve to charge me $325 so they will only refund me the Difference of total $520 they charged me even though I did not use any of there services, the service guy, yes the 4 hour late guy, used 3 qts of oil and two spark plugs, they believe that is worth charging a customer $325. I signed a contract, and made a cash deposit, with Generator SuperCenter on June 2, 2021 for a 24 kW air cooled whole house generator. The contract states 4-6 months for installation. Today is January 12, 2022 and I was just notified that I'm at least two months out for installation. I am dissatisfied with the long lag time since we rely on electricity to run medical equipment in our household. I used this company due to their advertising on Michael Berry Show. I had a Generac Generator installed 07-01-2024. One month ago. I went on vacation 7/2/24 and returned 7/10/24. Hurrican Beryl hit Houston 7/8/24. When I returned home 7-10-24, we were shocked there was no power. When we checked the breaker box, the breakers were tripped red. The Generac Generator apparently failed to kick on when power was lost. Food in refrigerator and freezer spoiled. My generator app shows -0-run hours. I called Jack Zernia, Service Manager at Generac, Tomball, Tx and he never returned my call after me leaving numerous voice messages. I paid $13,800 for a whole house generator that failed me. Finally, the service department just started hanging up on me and not answering my call. I was outraged and decided to go to Generac Supercenter in person. Spoke to the front desk and they assured me they would have someone come out 8/7/24. The customer service and value are awful. If not resolved, I will definitely pursue legal action and demand compensation for lost food also. read more

I pay nearly $40 a month for a maintenance program. i have been trying to reach someone in the service department for 3 weeks. i called, i filled out the online forms, i emailed. i spoke to an answering service. i explained in my messages i understood they may not be able to get to me right away but i just wanted some kind of response to even know they were getting the message. i finally had to go to the store today. i drove a 1/2 hour to get there. they tried to tell me that they just started a new program where they'll text you back. i refused to leave until i spoke to service. they finally sent someone up front and scheduled me for someone to come to my house this week. i was able to cancel my service and monitoring contract with them. i won't notice any difference. i had the same issue of no return calls 2 weeks before the storm came through. their service department is terrible. you will not get a call back. show up and park in their lobby. it was the only way i at least got to talk to a person who worked there. read more

Talk about the Tomball Generator Supercenter(Generac) letting you down in the worst of situations. During Hurricane Beryl our standby home generator went down. My generator only being 2 1/2 years old. I called to get someone out to our home asap like our salesman said would happen with any failed generator. Well, I called problably over 50 times and no answer the phone just rang busy. I then called the generac's 800 number, they were more helpful in trying to get my generator back up and running than the place I purchased my Generac from. Even before this their customer service had been poor to say the least. I finally sent an email to them to see if someone would finally reply, we were desperate to get somone out. It was hot and had no backup plan due to the purchase of the whole home generator. Then 4 days later someone finally came to see why out system went down. The repair tech told us it would be months before they could get back out to replace the part due to the hundreds of standby generators that failed so many families in our area. Companies like these have a great sales pitch for these expensive machines but then can't be there for desperate families in their time of need. I call everyday to see if the parts have been ordered and when they can get out to repair the generac. We paid good money for thos piece of equipment I want it to work. I'm still asked to pay a $40.00 monthly service fee to monitor my generator which isn't working, and they still can't tell me when it can be fixed. When you call they act like your a bother to them. Well get it together and take care of your customers that were literally left in the heat. Improve your customer service skills ANSWER YOUR PHONE.... when your paying customers call for service. My sweet 93 year old mother has had her generator which was installed and maintained by Generator Superstore for 10 years. She has paid every bill every month on time. When the ice storm hit Houston, guess what her generator would not work. We have been trying to contact them since. After having a friend who knows motors come during the storm and get it running for her, we find out they really do not service your generator they just charge very elderly peoples credit cards and their generators do not work when needed! I am currently sitting in a cold, dark house in the midst of a winter storm with temperatures below freezing, with my 80 year old mother whom I brought to my house because she didn't have power, thus no heat. I was confident in the fact that I had a stand-by generator. But when the power went out at my house, the generator ran for about 2 minutes, then died. When I called the 24/7 number they said they needed to send out a technician but it wouldn't be before tomorrow. Is that what 24/7 means?? Great! I recently contracted Generator Supercenter in Tomball, TX, to perform a 10-year maintenance overhaul on my 27kW Generac Generator. The mechanic that performed the work was Robin. I cannot speak highly enough of him for I was thoroughly impressed. He is outstanding and professional in every category. He: (1) has a superb work ethic; (2) takes pride in his work; (3) meticulously pays attention to detail and quality; (4) is customer oriented; (5) is trustworthy; and (6) is qualified and trained to perform the work. I have worked with many mechanics over my lifetime, and I must admit he is one of the best I have had the pleasure to work with. He is an asset to Generator Supercenter and for many, the face of the company. I am not impressed, however, with the office's service department. They communicate very poorly (not only to customers but also to their mechanics/technicians) and are difficult to pin down on scheduling work. I had to repeatedly email and call the office to have the overhaul's scope of work defined, and to discover when they were going to perform the work. For example, the day before the work was to be performed (and it was scheduled for a month at this time), I called the office to confirm the mechanic was coming the next day. I was shocked when they told me they pushed the work out two weeks further - seemingly arbitrarily. I was especially annoyed since my generator was inoperable at this point and service was delayed once since they said they had to order parts. After much insistence, the mechanic (Robin) came out a couple of days later and fixed my problem but was not provided the parts to do the 10-year overhaul nor told what had to be done. Fortunately, Robin salvaged his office's reputation. I was ready to find another service provider, but his professionalism and competence changed my mind. read more

I have a couple of Generac's that these guys service. What an abject failure on their part! I pay (but will now cancel) for one of their "big money " service contracts where they monitor the generator. The only thing they do is send you and automated email that tells you if your generator exercised that week. During this recent freeze, both my generators failed!! The one with the fancy service contact failed to start when the power went out. I had to go out in the middle of the night and start it by hand! My other failed to start completely and I still can't get it to run period! They charge high service fees yet nothing seems to work properly after they leave. - Do not check the monitoring of the generator hours to see if it is functioning and they charged us $46/mo. Had to follow up ourselves. - Had a service call the week before the storm and did not fix our generator and charged us, in advance, $220 - Because of their poor service, we had a generator that does not provide power in case of emergencies with the high associated costs. They wanted us to start it by hand which I tried and still did not start displaying the UF error. - We have to constantly follow up on their services when parts are needed because they rarely show up later - They come unprepared with the wrong parts and tools (they are always ready for Generac and not Kohler including their part department). They are supposed to be trained Kohler generator technicians but obviously are not. read more

We purchased our generator and once it was installed I called to make sure they had her information. Irma explained she no longer works in this department but she went above and beyond to help. She needed to do a little more work on sending it to the correct person. No problem that was on Tuesday. Destiny sent an email asking what date and time would my neighbor like to pick up her card? I'm thinking everything is ok. Then my person called me saying that they thinking I referred my neighbor???? I'm like no my neighbor had her generator 6 months before I decided we buy one how could I refer her? So I called Colton since he was the salesman and he told me what to tell my neighbor to do to fill out the form. We spoke he said no problem you called the right person I will get this handled. I let the remained of the week past to give them time to handle the issue "NO ONE CALLED OR EMAILED ME". I called Colton on Monday he then tell me it's out of his hands and he can't say anything about it. I said wait you said something different earlier and you know she referred us. I explained that my neighbor spent 13K and my husband and I spent 13K so $250.00 won't make us or break us but it's the point of the matter. I scheduled annual maintenance for my generator and all seemed to be fine at the time. I paid the service charge of $325.00 when I scheduled the appointment on 6/3/2024. When the technician Mason came out he seemed to be knowledgable. He stated he needed to adjust the valves due to running during the recent power outage. I agreed to the adjustment of the valves. He then brought up the battery. I told him that the battery had just been replaced last year and that we should not need a battery yet. So, I told him to adjust the valves and complete regular maintenance. On 6/14/2004 my bank account was charged an additional $354.00. I called Generac on 6/17/2024 to let them know I had been overcharged. That the technician Mason told me the additional charge for valve adjustment would be around $200.00. The customer service person put me on a long hold and then told me that the charge was for a new battery. I explained that I was out with the technician as he completed the work and he did not replace the battery. I requested to speak with a manager and was told that she would need to email the manager and that they would contact me at their convenience.
