After being treated horribly by a dealership that will remain nameless, my husband and I were hesitant to trade in our van before heading South for the winter. We read in the paper about a no nonsense car dealership that had won an ethical business award in Avon so we decided to give it a chance. Needless to say we were a bit skeptical. When we arrived we were greeted by a beautiful young lady named Kimberly (who is a former Marine for all you Veterans reading). We told her our situation and she sat down with us and asked questions about what we needed in a van to fit our lifestyle and our likes and dislikes. She took her time and explained the whole process to us, so we were involved every step of the way. Even after telling Kim what we needed, I still had no clue what I wanted until she pulled up the van. It was perfect! She showed us all of the features and how everything worked and we went on a drive. I thought to myself after the test drive, here it comes, now we are going to get the "car dealership experience". To my surprise it was nothing like I expected. I can't believe I am going to say this, but it was wonderful! Kim kept us involved every step of the way explaining different payment options, how the trade works and got us rebates we didn't even know we qualified for! ( ones that the other dealership never mentioned!) She was honest and upfront with us. At one point Mr. Genova, the owner of the dealership came out to thank us for stopping by. He has done an excellent job with his employees if they are all treat their customers like Kim treated us. We couldn't be happier with the van or with the whole experience. Everything Mr. Genova said in his article was 100% true. Going to GVM has completely changed our view of car sales. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAVED OUR TRIP!!!!!!! THANKS CHAD GILLERN! This is a little late but here goes........ Our family was attending a graduation party in Webster NY during the weekend of June 25th. We traveled from NH and somewhere along the way my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 developed a vibration in the driver side front and was getting worse....We limped into Webster around 4:30 on June 24th. We contacted a two local dealerships and one said they would take the truck if the closer one in Webster couldn't on Monday morning. So with that behind me and not wanting to make matters worse I decided to park it for the weekend and attempt to have a dealership in the Webster area take a look and make the repair if we could get in.....if not I had the other one in my pocket to take the truck. WELL when Monday morning came I contacted 4 or 5 Dodge dealers and explained my issue - without one of them willing to even take a look at it for several days. So I decided to reach out to Genesee Valley-which was further away as we didn't have any other options. When I spoke to the service advisor...Chad Gillern and explained our predicament he didn't hesitate and said he would fit it in and take a look at it that morning....because he put himself in my shoes....away from home. Both my wife and I had to work on the following day and still had several hours of travel ahead of us. So I brought it in and Chad took the truck to the service bay and two hours later the truck was back to better than new and we were on our way by 12:37 to be exact. I have to say that if we lived in the area we would be having ALL of our service on our 2 Dodge trucks at Genesee Valley. Kudos to the service department....they are a great asset to the dealership. I came here last year during "snowvember" after I had buried my own car in my front yard. I walked in the doors with no money for a down payment, only a car to trade in, but desperately needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I worked with John Mathe and he was absolutely amazing. I test drove a few different vehicles and was debating between a patriot and a compass. I ultimately decided on a 2014 compass. Our sales rep, Matthew, was great - and we were so impressed with the other sales reps who made it a point to stop to welcome us and introduce themselves to us. Jim in the Financing Dept. went above and beyond to get us the best deal on financing. We had been customers of a family owned dealership in Henrietta and never once did we see or meet the owner of the dealership. Just leased a loaded dodge dart. experience was effortless, painless and cost 12 bucks plus our trade-in. Our payment is so reasonable that there is no way we could walk away. Our sales rep Kim is very knowledgeable and friendly-no pressure or scare tactics. She is amazing! there are so many crazy rebates and specials going on you have to get out and check them out.
