After having Genesis Diamonds as our jeweler for 10 years we have finally left. We sent our son and daughter in law to get a wedding ring for him. They are very young and bought what they could in their price range. They were shown $1,000 rings, more than what they paid for his wife's and they were not treated well and talked down to. His ring material started flaking so I brought him back thinking that if they couldn't return it, they could exchange it. They wouldn't help us at all and said they aren't even supposed to sell those low price rings. They should have told my son that when he bought it. I was so disappointed. This was our family jeweler and it was sad to see them treat my kids this way. We are now going elsewhere for our jewelry needs. I bought my daughter her first ring for her 16th birthday somewhere else and she's very happy with it! At the front desk, I felt the service lacked professionalism, and I noticed behavior that didn't seem appropriate for the setting. One of the customer service reps Delaney was not only rude to me but constantly smoking her vape In the store. Another staff member Sam appeared disengaged and not very attentive to my questions, which made the interaction less helpful than I had hoped. Really, really not a fan. It's a bizarre shopping experience. You go through a very small, double-locked little entranceway, that makes you feel like an airlock. Except that Guido the security guard behind bulletproof plexiglass is looking you over for weapons of mass destruction. Inviting! Did I mention you have to wait on the powered prison doors to close? This becomes important here shortly. You've now entered the treasure room, which is a square of glass display cases manned....Er...womaned on 3 of 4 sides. Brilliantly lit by the equivalent of 70,000 watts of stark white fluorescent. I imagine the lights flicker as they juice up Frankenstein (the manager) in the back. The waitress, or whatever, helpfully criticizes your armor...Er...mask placement, and you realize you should flee the castle. You return to the airlock as she reaches out to clutch at you and pleads "Wait! Do it for me?" (No kidding ). You shake the exit door in vain as the airlock slowly closes behind you. You finally gasp in the fresh air as the sign flickers " Motel Hell...o". OMG just go to the mall read more

Beware of this store! We spent over an hour today in the store being passed from a sales representative to a "jeweler" and ultimately to an EXECUTIVE. I believe the sales lady called him the MASTER. He was a master at BS. This was a result of a 2+ caret diamond ring that we had purchased 6 years ago that NOW has a visible fracture or fissure in it! The Executive spent an excessive amount of time explaining his lack of culpability in the life of this inferior diamond. His arrogant explanations on how diamonds are like windshield glass that splinters with weather after a minor chip from a rock. Down talking to us like we were not smart enough to understand how things can break! He mostly just advised us that we should have gotten insurance. All of the above was after the initial jeweler said the ring had nothing wrong with it. After we insisted and personally showed the crack to the jeweler then we received the smooth talking! This is a shady business! I expressed my dissatisfaction and left the store with zero results. They will sell you inferior diamonds and then will not honor their guarantee. We were looking for a stone to fill a setting that we already had. The staff there were really helpful and gave us several different options including other ring styles that did not require as large a center stone to fill. In the end, Ina pulled a ring out that had a stone that would work in our setting that knocked about 8K off the price from the loose stones that they had immediately available in our size range. They pulled the center stone from their setting and installed it in our setting in time for me to propose on our vacation, done with a pretty short period of advance notice. Important to note that even though the price was right at Costco the pave diamonds were not secure in their setting and wouldn't be stable to get resized at a local jeweler. I felt hopeless but decided to check out a few other local jewelers just in case. Our first stop Jared! So very disappointing! The staff they were kind, it was late, but they don't stock a whole lot of options to TRY ON! It's hard to imagine the goods when you're mis-mashing rings and diamonds that aren't set etc. Nothing at all like the pic I showed them. Next up, Genesis! I didn't have much confidence but showed the pic from the Costco ring and just wanted something similar. I didn't want to hear anything about why Costco's ring wasn't a good choice, I already did the research! Found it!! Winner winner chicken dinner! So so happy! We still wanted to check out some other options and we did, but sure enough we came back for this beauty. Their jeweler was out but the Green Hills location had a couple jewelers on hand so we went to see what they had. I have such a tiny finger. They had the same ring but the diamonds weren't as pretty at the Franklin one, so we came back, bought in Franklin, then ran it up to Green Hills for sizing, cleaning and they even cleaned my 10 year old wedding band too. My ring looks like it should be in a museum!! Avi and Ina at Genesis in Brentwood went above and beyond for me and I'm immensely grateful. Do not go anywhere else. I had a horrible experience at another store and they customized a ring beyond my wildest dreams! People constantly stare at my beautiful ring and I have strangers stop me in the street to look at it! I will start by saying that I had a very specific idea in mind for my ring. I wanted a double halo, pear shaped ring, with a pink stone, and an infinity design on the band. Not only did I have a specific design in mind I'm also a size 3 1/2. I have extraterrestrial fingers that are super narrow and long. My fiancé and I originally went to Shane Co. Even though I had a specific design in mind they still convinced us to buy one of their off the rack designs and had no consideration to the unusual size and length of my hands. Ten weeks later, I'm told that the vendor making the ring changed the design without consenting myself or the sales associate. The vendor reduced the halo design on my ring, distorted the infinity band by shrinking it, and reduced the size of the stones! They never sent me an image to approve or checked with me at all. The sales associate was very apologetic and told me the vendor would make another ring. In the meantime, they allowed me to wear the temporary ring. ANOTHER TEN WEEKS GO BY and I see the second ring. It's an even more distorted version of the ring I tried on. Shane Co will not work with you to customize their off the rack rings. It became obvious that they haphazardly adjusted a size 7 ring to fit me. At this point I was immensely frustrated. A coworker told me I had to go to Genesis because she had an incredible experience. She was so right! I walked into Genesis and I was greeted immediately by Ina and Avi. I told them my story and showed her the distorted ring. She instantly reassured me that rings are like shoes, "whether they're a size 6 or 10 the design should look the same". Also, she informed me that 80% of the rings they make are fully custom designs. Ina and Avi, attentively worked through every detail of the ring I wanted. We discussed the size of the stones, the length of the pear shape, and the width of the infinity design. Ina gave the specifications to the designer and found me the most beautiful pink stone I've ever seen! After that, the ring designer not only sent me a visual image to approve, but they sent me a wax model to try on due to the custom design. The customer service at Genesis is unmatched! Rudest sale staff out of all jewelry stores we visited. We went there once looking for an engagement ring and ended up getting it in downtown Franklin from a local jeweler. We went back just to look at bands for my fiancé they realized it was not going to be a high dollar sale and the first older sales lady passed us off to someone else and we left saying we'll never be back. They also reprimanded my fiancé for trying to take pics of the men's bands. Saying someone may copy their designs!!! Funny how no other jewelry stores have that policy. I went to two other jewelers looking to resize a promise ring that was too big for my ring finger. Every place denied me in very awkward interactions. Was feeling really defeated and called genesis, as a final attempt. They still couldn't resize my ring because of the engraving on it, but Stephanie (the woman who helped me on the phone and in store) was incredibly inviting and helped me find a ring adapter on Amazon so I could still comfortably wear it.
