BEWARE! They promise to do one thing and deliver another. I was refered to this outfit by my insurance company who said thay would come out for $85 dollarsd and prepare a mitgation report for me. I just had all my windows and doors replaced with impact glass (about 40 in total). I had all the receipts and the paperwork for them to make their job easy. I was assured by my insurance agent that if genesis could'nt find an "NOA" label on an opening, that they would research to make sure it complied for mitigation. The report was prepared and I was not able to get insurance becasue of two reasons: 1. The garage door did not have a "sticker" stating that it was impact. There was a sticker on the door with a local number on it and there was also another sticker showing the door manufacturer's name and number. Geneis never bothered to even call the door company or the manufacturer to determine if it was in compliance. I, instead, called the number on the door and had the company come out and put a sticker on the door saying that it was impact. When I asked Genesis why they hadn't taken these simple steps, a young girl by the name of Amanda told me that the inspector would aways do that. LIE! He never bothered to call. I did the work for them. AND to make matters worse, when I asked Genesis to now certify the door as impact becasue I had the sticker, Amanda tells me in all seriousness that they will be charging me another $45 dollars to take a picture of the sticker! RIDICULOUS! I hired another inspection company at twice the price. Some things are about priinciple. I WOULD NEVER recommend these theives to anyone. read more

Not a good experience for my home inspection. Nothing close to what I'm reading on these reviews. Ordered both, a 4-point and a Wind Mitigation inspections. Inspector didn't come prepared, knowing this was a 2-story home (no ladder). Didn't bother to return to inspect the roof, however, reported my roof was in good condition. No pictures included on the roof in either report. However, was very thorough in finding the most minor issue, which would need another inspection after it was corrected.. At a discounted price of course. Didn't receive my own report until requested. Not professional, not pleasant, not "EXCELLENT". However, looks like they have a good review posted once a year. Will not recommend. Will pay for a new inspection, before allowing these 'inspectors' to return to my home. read more

Genesis was recommended by my insurance agent to evaluate if my home qualified for more wind premium deductions. Irene at Genesis set up everything and got an inspector out quickly. He did a thorough job, took lots of photos to explain what qualified, what did not, and changes that would be needed to get more insurance discounts. Irene was amazing. She promptly got the initial inspection report to my agent, then quickly got it re-inspected after improvements were made. She even let me know that some of my 30-year old hurricane shutters still qualified under current requirements. Cost was reasonable. Easy to deal with and willing to work with you. Just had my home inspected for wind mitigation. Fast & efficient. It was the first inspection of the day so right after 8AM the inspector knocked on my door, went over the routine and off he went. Inspected the outside first then climbed the attic (brought a tiny telescopic ladder that did the job nicely). Finally, he explained the inspection points and noted that the house passed everything so I should be good for a decent homeowner's insurance discount. Everything was done in about 30 min, worth the $85 I spent. read more

They explained that I needed to provide them with more information to get to where I wanted for my my wind mitigation rating. I did, and they updated it .
