Don't trust Chis's " Detective skills" I had to contact him about a missing Roof permit number , after submitting my inspection report to insurance companies. Which he then told me I could go to the building department and get the number. Then almost 4 years later I find out he did not wind rate my garage door. There's a windcode sticker on the door but I guess that wasn't good enough on top of it I recently provided him with what the building department had. His response " I have no way to know whether the information you provided is correlated to the door actually/physically installed at the subject property at the time of inspection" he had no idea of the permit number I provided him for my roof either how is that for a contradiction. Why not ask me to see if the building department has any information on my garage door he needed at inspection? , Since he doesn't do it himself ? I hired Chris back in 7/3/2014 to inspect a mobile/manufactured home I was about to buy in cash. At that time, I gave him 5 stars for the job done (US $ 229 paid). He mapped just one (1) major issue: the roof needed to be completely redone. Now, several months later, I feel obligated to give him only 2 stars due to the poor job done. You can use this review to include my issues listed here as bullet points for your next inspection. I spent more the US 7,000 to fix several things that - if I knew upfront - would prevent me to buy the home in the first place. - Bathroom 1 had a broken bathtub drain beyond repair and a leaking old toilet, what leaded me to remove the old bathtub and toilet and renovate the whole thing. - Bathroom 2 had another broken toilet and a plastic shower floor detaching from the ground and causing leaking. Full of mold too. I needed to renovate this unit too. - Electrical system was poorly wired and loads were not properly balanced, making the circuit breaker trip every single time I have to much stuff on. Several code violations too. It cost me a lot to fix this. - A/C ducts were full with mold, dust and debris, making my wife and daughter sick 1 month after we moved on. - Dishwasher was broken and leaking dirty water. - Several power outlets were not working, even after the inspector report said they were. I have worked with Chris on several properties. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Chris not only talks the talk, but walks the walk, he is a former/current general contractor. In fairness to Chris and the reviews, some things are not uncovered during the inspection because they are outside the purview the inspection purchased (mold is extra) or a hidden from plain sight (plumbing issue, drain underneath a tub). Keep in mind, if one entry to your house is not hurricane rated, you don't get any discount. I've had people complain that Chris uncovers too much. His general home inspection reports are cloud based and completed as soon as the inspection is done. So at the end, you get a complete report within minutes. This is important for real estate transactions when backed up against a deadline. The wind mitigation and 4 point take a day or two to complete. Each property presents their own issues. I always tell people you want brand new, buy new construction. If I want to buy something old, Chris is the first number I call. read more

Don't choose these guys. Very unprofessional and unresponsive. They gave the lowest rate and I went with them as they had good reviews on google and yelp. Now i suspect that these are fake reviews 1. After payment they didn't deliver the report on time. Made several calls and emails, but no one responded or picked up the call. There is only one phone number and it is attended by a person called Victoria. 2. After many attempts and few days, i received the report. However, the pictures taken were so lousy and unprofessional. Some of them were not clear and some of them had view of the readings 3. For comments on mold, I tried reaching them to get clarification. Made 9-10 calls so far. No one picks the calls or returns them Will never recommend these guys Don't !!! read more

They came out within 72 hours to look at the dream house im interested in. The inspector was kind, honest and thorough. He knew what information I needed to make sure the investment was worthwhile. His forthright advice was a key factor in our decision. They also had a ton of experience- and you could tell the inspector knew what he was doing. He saved us a TON OF $$$$ by giving us multiple options. He also had a good expectation of timeline for when the roof would need replacing. All in all, really great experience.
