Dor-Win's website says unimited life time warranty so I went to Dor-Win with my receipt in hand. I explained to the woman at the window and showed her a half dozen pictures of the stuff oozing from the door. Let me say Customer Service is not in this woman's vocabulary. She stated that all doors do this and that I should just scrap it off with a razor. I have never seen this stuff on a door before and dont believe for one minute that it's normal. To make a long story short, they refused to do anything about it. I can't recommend anyone purchase anything from this company. It seems that once they get your money they want nothing to do with you.

I just hope my 4830 series windows hold up for 20 years+. The company has been around for decades, but someone there needs to do some work on their website about the products they offer. You don't know much about the windows and you the buyer now have to read Yelp to get feedback and pictures of any failing, failed or still in good condition windows they sell. I will be revisiting YELP in the near future with additional comments and pictures on their products. I had minor issues with a few screens. With any window company check all your windows and screens and take pics of all flaws that needs attention when the job is done. I am currently waiting on some screens that were damaged out of the box and I am awaiting on the replacements.

It took two days to replace (plus production time), and they did a wonderful job on as it as far as I can tell - the new windows look great! The installation was seamless; two men arrived on time, introduced themselves and got the job done leaving no mess behind. They informed us that if a door they remove is in decent shape, Taylor Doors will refurbish and donate to Habitat for Humanity or other places in need. I get an estimate over the phone and we schedule a time for them to scope things out, with it explicitly stated that they would start repairs that day (as long as there wasn't any work that needed additional materials). A man comes...and doesn't have any of the necessary materials. I'm a bit annoyed and then the man says he actually can't do the inspection at that time and we have to reschedule. Apparently, he got lost on his way over and he is very packed that day so he can't even start the inspection, let alone the repairs we discussed. When the man drove into our driveway, he almost hit the bushes so I asked him to be more careful when backing out. He told me to 'relax' and then proceeded to almost hit the bushes AGAIN and we had to guide him out. It's a wide, 2-car driveway so not sure why he had this issue. I called the office and the staff was very apologetic. I appreciate that they were trying to get a higher-up who could offer a discount, but based on this experience, I decided to go elsewhere for service. The price was fair and the staff was friendly so I'm disappointed it went this way.

For the millwork I purchased interior doors, mouldings, wainscot, fiberglass columns, and exterior, Azek and fir for facia, soffit material etc.. Once the framing was complete, Mike came out to the house before the quote to measure everything and make sure the 2 dozen doors had the correct opening orientation and size. We went over many molding profiles and door styles. The price was very competitive and it was an easy decision. Once we got started, Mike was always quick to respond and when I needed a few add on pieces the truck was there for delivery to keep my schedule on track. I wish all of my suppliers were as good! As a board member of a building with many residents needing window repairs or replacements, I expected a much higher level of professionalism. I contacted this contractor today, and he told me he wasn't even sure when he would be available to come take measurements. When I asked for a timeframe, he couldn't even tell me whether it would take 1 or 2 weeks just to come out for simple window measurements. He said he would "let me know," yet never even took down any contact information. On top of that, the person I referred to him was also left waiting without any response or follow-up. This is no way to run a business. The customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. I had no idea the company operated this way, otherwise I never would have referred anyone to them. Do yourself a favor and use a real window repair company like Mike the Glazier instead. The business owner has since removed his rude and unprofessional follow-up comments to my review and has now taken a much softer approach in his response. His original replies were completely nasty and disrespectful. I guess someone finally educated him on appropriate business etiquette and basic manners. Listen Taulant, you really need to work on how you communicate with people. It's not just about the quality of your work, it's also about professionalism, respect, and the way you speak to customers. Just because a job is $325 instead of $13,000 doesn't mean you should brush people off or treat them like they're not important. You know exactly what happened here, so please don't try to play the victim. I'm not trying to hurt you or hurt your business, I'm trying to teach you an important lesson. I was actually trying to help you by referring business your way and putting money in your pocket, but instead you ignored the customer I referred to you and then brushed me off as well. That's not how you build or maintain a good reputation. You also can't say things to customers like "I don't trust your measurements" or act like you'll get to their job only when you feel like it because it's a smaller project. Every customer deserves respect and proper communication regardless of the size of the job. I will eventually delete the review because my intention is not to damage your business, but I hope you truly take this as a lesson learned moving forward. How you communicate with people matters just as much as the work itself.
