First impression as i rolled up, i noticed only 1 garage to service 1 car. I was expecting at least 3 bay area's to service. When i originally made my appointment over the phone with Raymond (manger) he said he'll have his best and most experienced installer (Neil) to work on my car and as i arrived, Neil was there. **Big Plus for keeping promises** I was amazed by the installation process as they would lay the tint on the outer windshield, heat the tint to form it's shape before installing it inside the car. With that being done, i knew these guys are professionals because who would actually take that much time and labor to do that process. Raymond did say my car would be ready within 4 hours due to the fact they want the tint to dry 100% and to make sure there was no types of scratches, blemishes or peeling. After the installation was completed, they drove the car out into the sun to look for any imperfections. I really appreciate the effort they put in their service and workmanship. I did tell them I'm a very particular and detailed person and they didn't mind as they said they stand by their installation 100%. I end up getting their Formula One Pinnacle 35 series tint as it was high reputable from customers on forums and friends. Inside the waiting room, there's a window which you can view the installation process and i noticed they use McGuire's Quick wax to clean up my door panels, and trunk area when water was sprayed on the windows which i was impressed. This place uses a machine to precut all their tint for precision cuts and less room for mistakes. Last of all they do offer free wifi Internet if you plan on waiting. One thing missing is background music as you can hear a pin drop, yet there is a TV but it wasn't turned on. read more

This is strictly a review on the scheduling process. It was a FAIL! Wasted an entire Saturday. Had one car tinted last month. Great job 5 Stars. Liked it so much got an estimate and scheduled appointment for our second car. Arrived at scheduled time and told that it was scheduled incorrectly and they would possibly not have time to finish the job that day. Since they would be closed the following day, I would have to return to pick up my car, then bring it back on Monday or Tuesday to finish the job. The appointment was made a week in advance, confirmed and it was never caught that the old tint had to come off first, which was quoted in the price, and it should have been scheduled at 8 am, instead of 1pm. Ruined a rare Saturday off as I had made arrangements to be picked up and brought back once the job was completed. I think it hurt them more than me, I was planning on the premium package with about a $500 budget. I think I might have dodged a bullet though, because when I pulled in to drop off, I noticed the gentlemen working in the tint bay was literally leaning all over the car he was working on. I don't see how that cars paint job could not have been affected. I had intended on mentioning this before I left my car there. They really should be using some sort of pad or cover so the zippers and buttons don't scratch your whip! The young lady at the counter was very nice. She apologized and offered alternative solutions, but I did not have much confidence at this point. It was not her fault, she was not the one on the hook for scheduling the appointment to begin with. A simple check the day before when confirmed, would have alerted them that there was a removal and re-apply job at 1pm. The kicker is I could have taken it in at 8am that morning and already be enjoying newly tinted windows, instead of writing an unhappy review on Yelp. Multi-car discount or not, I won't waste my time with this place again. Sorry guys. read more

I took my well loved, yet hard worn Mazda 3 in for a little love-work from the crew at Genesis, and let me tell you.... they know how to show a car some love. To start things off, I was greeted with wonderful customer service from Raymond the second I walked in, which is always a bonus for a woman looking for automotive services.... then I was cheerfully greeted by Neil, the smiley tech who would also be working on my car. The products used here are above standard for the industry, (Llumar tint... go ahead, Google it, we'll wait), and the quality of installation passed the super secret inspection.... none of the corner-cutting you see at other shops, like trimming the tint BELOW the window edge... tsk tsk, who does that?! The prices were very competitive, and with the quality and standard of care, I really don't think you could do better. My car was done CRAZY fast, with perfect edging, no bubbles, and excellent customer service through to the end. I would send my grandmother here..... except she can't drive anymore =/ You get the point. You'd be doing yourself, and your car wrong to go anywhere else. ** OH! I almost forgot the side bonus: Raymond even went so far as to give me his professional input as to what degree of tint he would recommend within the limits of the law, and within the law enforcement behavior for the area I drive. He made me comfortable and want to do more business with him after solving our first crisis- 3 windows on the back of our house that needed tinting. Super crazy but our windows burned brand new turf as soon as it was laid down! I have had 2 cars done here with excellent results. When it comes to window tinting you get what you pay for. You can get dyed window tint or premium ceramic tint which will cost more but is worth the extra money. Genesis provides the best tint on the market and they do a great job. A coworker of mine went to a different shop and you can clearly tell the difference. Her windows look purple in the sun and mine just look like factory tint. This is the only place to get tint for you car in the Sacramento area. read more

There is a special for checking in at the Elk Grove location, on Yelp and he was able to give me the same special pricing. First point of contact and I'm already receiving great customer service. I had an absolutely great experience with Genesis Window Tinting. I contacted a few different shops in the area and Genesis was right in line with what they were pricing but also had a few more expensive options. The owner Sid got right back to me and was even able to fit me in on the same day. It does take a while, but I would rather it be done right the first time. They use LLumar brand tint which seems to be consistently rated as one of the top window tint manufacturers and least likely to fade/purple. They are authorized FormulaONE dealers which leads me to believe that if I did have an issue I would be a lot more likely to have the warranty honored by LLumar. Their shop is right across from the Roseville Automall so it is pretty convenient if it is your first destination after getting a car. I ended up opting for the 15% Pinnacle series tint on my 2017 Subaru Impreza rear windows which uses ceramic particles to help reflect additional light and keep the car a bit cooler. It is a bit more expensive but I think it is well worth the cost and it looks great. It also doesn't interfere with cell signal. In my photos, you can see the tint doesn't look any different from the standard style tint, and from the inside the visibility is fantastic. They took great car of my vehicle and took the time to explain both the warranty and how to properly care for the windows. I like the touch of the reminder tape on the window switches to allow 3-5 days for proper curing before using the windows. It actually saved me a couple times this week and it didn't leave any residue when I took it off. TL;DR: They did a fantastic job, their prices are competitive, they are in a convenient location, they have a lot of choices and can warranty their work. If I end up getting the front windows tinted, I will be back to this shop. read more

Very late review! Did some research before going to Genesis, they had great reviews on Tesla tinting, as I was worried that the whole top glass roof would be an issue and the tinting would look off. Was able to get an appt next day. Dropped it off in the morning and it was ready that afternoon. Very clean and detailed. Awesome tint job all the way around from the greeting and explanation of options to the pick up. Really fantastic service and pricing. Kristy and VJ really take their time to go through everything and their quality of work is fantastic. You definitely get what you pay for here. Sure there are cheaper places to tint your windows, but is that what you really want when you have a $50,000+ sports car? Spend the extra $80 or so and get it done right and flawless the first time through. All of their films come with warranties and I can't stress enough about their service and quality. Genesis machine cuts all of their tints and really goes the extra mile here. You just call and make an appointment, drop it off and when they finish, you come and pick up the car (about 4 hours or so) and pay when you pick up.
