I can't say what others knew from advertising, because we went to Geneva Auto Sales from word of mouth. We were looking for a Decent car for my daughter and knew up front that the cars were salvaged titles. When you go in you can ask to see picture of the before and after, and they explain exactly what took place to repair the car. They encourage you to test drive as many cars as you want. We made our purchase 4 years ago, and I'm just now leaving this review. There have been 0 issues with our car. By no means was perfect but the dollar value was definitely worth it. I would say do you due diligence though with titling the car and insurance before purchasing to make sure there aren't any hang ups with the salvaged title, but everything went smoothly for us. Wow!! Mainly selling salvaged title vehicles and they don't disclose that fact in any car ads. Glad I did some research! Noticed a ton of 4 & 5 Star Google reviews but see all reviews on Yelp are 1 Star and say the same bad things "mainly undisclosed salvage titles"!!?? All their inventory seem to be "newer" cars (2017 - 2020) with very low miles and unusually low prices!?!? I drove 2 hours to look at cars at Geneva Auto Sales. These cars are listed on cars.com. They misrepresent what you are looking at on their site and on Geneva Auto Sales site by not telling you specifically that these cars are SALVAGED. Today, when I was there EVERY car on the lot had a salvaged title (had to be 30 or more) with the exception of one that had already been purchased with a damage claim paid. Furthermore, on cars.com it is misrepresented because they make you think that they still have warranties. A salvaged car does not have a warranty by the manufacturer per Edmunds.com edmunds.com/auto-warrant... I was not the only person on the lot today that was angry they had driven 2 hours or more to look at a vehicle that was not described correctly in their advertisement on cars.com. The cars are too good to be true because they are MISREPRESENTED and you are purchasing a car that had previously been totaled by the insurance company and could have hidden frame damage. It's ridiculous. If you are in the market for a used car be careful. Do your homework. If you are from Illinois. Prepare to spend several trips to the DMV and pay about another $1200 to get it the salvaged title transferred and registration. You have to actually hire a licensed rebuilder in order to get both your inspections done which are another hassle. read more

Drove an hour and a half to look at a car and they told me I couldn't. My guess is it's getting rebuilt right now so they didn't want to tell me that. Every single car there is a rebuild title. Don't go here it's terrible read more

I live in Michigan and was nervous about driving to WI to buy a car that I was pretty sure had been totaled. The listing was for a 2018 Ford Focus with just under 8,000 miles for about $8,000. The KBB is over $15,000 on that car, so logic told me there was a catch. I emailed to see if they would send before and after photos, which they would not. They just asked me to come see the car. That was kind of annoying, but I figured if the car was totaled (which it was) they knew the photos might scare me off. They wanted me to come in and see the car instead. I knew I might be wasting a day of my life, but as a man who is willing to take a risk for a great deal, I did it. Dave greeted my wife and I (and our baby) and was cheerful and has a great sense of humor. I took the car for a test drive and thoroughly examined it. I could tell the hood, front bumper and fenders had been replaced. Rick (the owner) showed us the photos of the damage before their rebuild and...yep...it would have scared me off. But I'm telling you, you these guys know their stuff. They did a really good job with the rebuild. The frame was solid and this car drives great! I just took it to PA and back and it drives like a dream! I wanted to wait a few thousand miles before posting a review just to make sure the car was legit. If you want a new factory car with a factory warranty, don't buy here. If you are willing to take a risk, as I did, for a great value, Geneva is a great option! Rick was very honest and they handled the process very professionally. As others have noted, they could use a few more hands on deck, as they are very busy and have only a few staff...but that means they are selling cars. I would definitely buy from them again. Also, if there is a small issue after purchase, call them, don't write a negative review. I had a question (not a car problem) and Dave called me right back. I believe they will make sure you are happy, even after purchase. I did also buy the $399 aftermarket warranty. Hopefully I won't need to use it, and hopefully it works, but it makes me feel better knowing the engine and tranny are supposed to be covered for the next 100,000. I'm hoping this isn't too lengthy, but I had to share so someone else doesn't go through what I just did. I stopped in to Geneva Auto Sales in Genoa City, WI from driving quite a distance to look at a car they have advertised (as of this writing) on craigslist and their website http://www.genevaautosales.com/ First of all, as I was looking at the cars on the lot and not finding the one I was there for, I noticed every single car I looked at (almost all of them) had SALVAGE TITLES that are not disclosed in any of their advertising. These vehicles were probably in major accidents and can be difficult to insure. Strike 1.... no full disclosure and misleading advertising. Secondly, when I went into the office, the owner didn't even get out of his chair or greet me as I walked in. Strike 2.... total attitude that he was in control and doesn't really care to do business with me, right off the bat. Finally, when I asked the man about the car he had advertised, he said he sold it a few days ago. I said "Oh, bummer, too bad the website wasn't updated." And he then said to me "did you call the little number on the website to ask about it?" That threw me for a loop because normally when I shop online, it's either available, or it says "sold". I did tell him that I called about the business hours, and he cut me off and said "well, you didn't ask the right questions". I told him I didn't think I needed to ask if an advertised vehicle is still available, and it didn't matter so much because I was interested in a number of cars he had listed online. As I stood there in disbelief of his attitude and wondering if I should even ask about another car on the lot, he flat out said to me "you can stand there thinking I should feel sorry for you, but I really don't care about you, it's Friday and the weekend is here." I was floored at that comment! Now, I'm a guy who likes to rectify situations and give people the benefit of the doubt, so I mistakenly asked about the other car just to see where this would go. He then asked me with sarcasm and attitude "do you want to drive it?" I said, "think I would like to at least start it." He then had the nerve to say that I had an attitude. Instead of leaving at that moment, I told him I was a serious customer and that he shouldn't talk that way and that I own my own company and would never treat a customer like that, no matter what. He then told me I was not a customer. I then said "I WAS a customer". He argued and said "No you're weren't." Funny.... because I had a big wad of cash that said differently and I was prepared to buy a vehicle on the spot. Strike 3.... The owner of Geneva Auto Sales is rude and has no regard for his customers. So I said a couple of choice words to the man that I cannot repeat here and walked out the door. As I searched online looking for a place to give a review, I found reviews where he has removed his listed cars and the few "positive" reviews are so generic they seem fake. Again, unless you are looking for an unpleasant conversation and emotional beating, I strongly recommend not going to Geneva Auto Sales in Geno City, WI when you shop for your next car. read more

I drove 1.5 hours there and was pleaseantly surprised. Repairing lightly damaged cars is what they do. We drove 4 cars and had no sales pressure at all. They fully disclose that the car had damage and have pics of when the cars came in. You decide what is acceptable and the cars sell themselves. Yes, they have salvage titles but we easily got financing from landmark credit union. We easily got insurance as well from State Farm. We are a family that drives a car 200k miles plus. If you want new, then go buy new. Our last 2 vehicles were purchased here and we have had no issues. Our daughter hit a deer with one and our insurance company repaired it. The car was that clean and they didn't mind it already had a salvage title. It was worth fixing to them and us. If you have bad credit, banks will deny you anywhere. If you have a bad driving record, it's hard to get insurance for any vehicle. They do sell warranties just like any dealer, but as expected they cost extra. They provide a service here without large markups on vehicles. As with any used vehicle, the buyer decides if it's right for them. We are headed there again this summer when we get another new driver in the family. Shop around, then go here. The cars drive like new. read more
