BEWARE!! Bought F150 new, had tranny and electronic sync 3 issue from day one. Bull Valley lied about potential fixes, reprogrammed tranny 3 times, refused to fix malfunctioning sync 3, saying 3rd party Ford IVT would fix (IVT said its Bull Valleys problem). MANY other DOCUMENTED problems, which Bull Valley never reported to Ford. I have paperwork from Bull Valley to prove. Had to fix trans on my own dime after warrenty. Some repairs they did not even document to possibly hide the fact of a bad vehicle they sold. Went to Harvard Ford and they knew problem and fixed immediatly...but on MY COST!! Looked at a Bronco yesterday, and the salesperson said that there was a "premium" on the vehicle and that I would have to purchase it above MSRP. Mind you I have looked at a Bronco at a number of Ford dealerships with an offer at or slightly below MSRP. As I understand, we now have more people underwater in their car loans than at any other time in history and it is due to this kind of behavior. Please stop supporting car dealerships that engage in these practices or charge "market adjustments" in this economy when there is no shortage of supply (keep in mind inventory can be found online). Even after making an appointment the previous week it took 3 1/2 hours waiting in their customer area to get 4 new tires. Five people came in after me, paid for their repairs and left while I was still there. Also, I had to wait 20 minutes after the car was done before the "paperwork" was processed and I was able to drive away. For the past four years I've faithfully gone there with my three vehicles and never had a problem. Now it appears that they feel their doing me a favor by servicing my vehicle. The service department is terrible. Vehicle in 5 times in 8 months for the same issue. The icing was being quoted $630 for new rear tires and alignment when I brought it in for a rear suspension recall. They claim the recall isn't why the tires are worn. They installed née tires last December. 10,000 miles later they are garbage from being misaligned. Not because of the recall. Not because they've inspected the tires in February, March and October. Not because they installed the tires and are the only service dept to touch this car. No no. It's because "I probably hit a pothole going to the grocery store or something". 50,000 mile tires shot in 10k with a rear suspension recall but pay us over $600 to fix. Lol no Bull Valley. You will never see another dime of mine. Edit* Rick, the parts and service director is an asset to this dealership. He made good on the recall and not only paid my rear tire invoice from another establishment, he threw in two new front tires. I appreciate his honesty and integrity. read more

Absolutely awful experience trying to buy a car. I spoke to Darlene Zulman for days and couldnt get any information, car pricing available, loan approval information, payment information etc. She repeatedly told me that she could help me and to come see her. I am over 30 minutes away and didn't have a car. I explained that I have a neurological disease and I can't be there for hours nor pay for an uber there and back unless I knew I would be getting a car there. She would call and text me repeatedly when she had the time and then when I was going to buy the car she went almost 48 hours without responding to my message and explained that "I apologize if I didn't get back to you right away. I have about over 80 people to talk to every day. "... Didn't give me the warm fuzzies. On top of that she didn't seem to remember or even read our prior. Conversation regarding the information she was supposed to get back to me on and just said "come see me tomorrow, I'll be in the office at one." Ended up going with Your Choice Auto in Elgin. I worked with Sy who was able to do everything with the loan etc over the Internet and phone, other than signing papers and bringing documents in. I was in and out in just over and hour, including test drive, car wash and a minor repair to the driver side seat adjustment. Thank God that's over!!! read more

Had my 2013 Focus ST in for a warranty recall and a TSB for motor mounts. Have read nightmare stories from other owners on how dealerships treated them on the TSB one. I also had them replace a torn door seal gasket. Brendon, the service writer, was patient and very informed on the issue. I told them to treat this car like a Shelby as I'm pretty particular about it. They ended up having to bleed the clutch twice (I had called Brendon to discuss that as ST forums mention this not being done correctly) so they were thorough for sure. When I picked up the car, it was cleaner than I gave it to them...like it had a mini detail. It was cleaner than any car I've ever picked up from any service center. The repairs were done perfectly..the car shifts and handles like its supposed to. It was a big job and took them several days to do...also had to order parts for this as not commonly stocked. I said to keep it as long as needed as I didn't have time to bring it back. Maybe dealer service is more expensive than the national chain service centers...but if you want it done right the first time and avoid frustration and hassle of going back again, this has made me realize the value of a dealer service department...especially for a newer vehicle. Bull Valley has my lifetime business if they continue to treat me - and my ST - like this every time I need service. read more

Very pleased!!! I ended up buying my 2014 explorer from Friendly Ford just because the deal was right at the time. However, I stopped in to this dealership after my horrible experience with Tom Peck Ford. Alex greeted me at the door and kindly asked if he could help. I told him what I was looking for and told him I probably have to order it. He got me a price and told me how much he could take off. I was pleased as it was far lower than a lot of the other dealers. The sales manager was also very nice as I joked with him how I was going to write a check for 2 of them (kidding of course!). I wish the timing was right and was able to actually buy my explorer from here. However Friendly Ford was a very nice place as well. Very unique way of doing business at a car dealer. I went in to purchase a used vehicle and they just would not haggle. The follow-up communication was not really there. I really wanted the vehicle so compromised by the amount of money I was putting down thinking they would then lower the price 1000 or two and they wouldn't budge. It was like they didn't want to sell me the car. Any other dealer I've been to chases you out of the parking lot and calls you the next day. Not this one. I got the vibe that they primarily focus on selling their trucks and this was not a truck. read more

I brought my Escape in for a battery replacement and, after they told me I'd need a new harness, which I paid for, I got home an hour later and my wipers wouldn't turn off. They said I'd need to pay for a new wiper control module at the normal price, as it wasn't their doing. After ordering the part with them, they told me two+ months later that they couldn't get the part and they do not want to work with me any longer. On top of all this, my car won't start if it's left off for 3+ days. Of course, they asid that's not their doing either. With winter right around the corner that meant a great deal to me! The financing department is a class act as well working beyond our expectations not only to secure financing, but securing financing at half the rate we were currently paying on our previous vehicle! This dealership is struggling to say the least. I am going to give it a full review in hope that someone actually pays attention. First of sales, well I am actually pretty sure this dealership does not sale cars period. They have inventory but I drive by about five times a week and the same cars/trucks are still sitting there. I have gone to this dealership more then five times looking for cars/truck and normally the used selection is terrible. The last truck I looked at was a 2010 ford f-350 diesel. I saw one was available and went to check it out. It was a awesome looking joke of a truck, looked great from about 20 feet away by clearly a used plow truck and the underneath was basically gone. When I asked the salesman why they feel this truck is worth above $2000 above market he said that this is how this dealer markets their truck and the appraised in used good condition standards There were rust bubbles on the rear fenders The service department, so I bought a ford f-250 at a different dealership and the radiator started leaking, also the overhead light stopped working. I made an appt and called to ensure that a loaner car would be available, I was told that they aren't that type of dealership and that they only have like 6 loaners and that a loaner car had a 3-week wait time. Lucky I live and work in the same town so I dropped it off and sucked it up. I get a phone call that the radiator needs replacement and that there is a wiring issue with the light! Great but they can have it done ASAP and parts are on order. I think it pretty weird that they could get my f-250 diesel radiator out and in within that timeframe but figure they are just guessing. The next day I get the truck back, the light wiring costing $775.00 and still doesn't work!!!! The radiator looks like the used stop a leak and sprayed gray paint on the old radiator? At a cost of $2400.00 So long story short, I and anyone I know will never ever take anything to this dealership ever again, lucky for me will suffer no big loss as ford dealers are all over the place here. So please do yourself a favor and used a good dealership. read more

I have a 2008 Ford Focus SE. I have been taking it to Bull Valley Ford for a few years and have always been happy with their service I thought. Since I've been going there I have been complaining about the car vibrating and the interior was very noisy due to this vibration. They could find nothing wrong that could cause this. I did research and asked them to check the motor mounts because this seemed to be the common problem of vibration. They said everything was fine. Now after at least 4 years of driving this car and the vibration driving me crazy, I made an appointment for them to do an oil change (the works) and to check the car again for the vibration. They came back and told me the motor mount bushing was bad and it was metal on metal and causing the vibration. They also told me the sway bar link ends needed replacing. Between the two repairs it was going to cost me 900.00. I told them I was not happy with that pricing and would shop around other auto repair shops. As it turns out, another woman waiting for her car recommended another shop for me. She said they take all their vehicles out of warranty to this place. I tried them and they fixed both problems for 369.00. My car no longer vibrates even a little bit and it's never been this quiet. There is no noise at all. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO BULL VALLEY FORD AGAIN. read more

This dealership is okay. I don't feel that their sales and service is anything special. If anything, my experiences with them have been more on the negative side than positive. I could list several instances in which I've left thinking I might just be better off switching to a different make of car/suv altogether. Their sales guys, Alex in particular, are not as friendly as they put on. Trust me on this. The service guys at the counter might be friendly and helpful and might not be depending on the day. Sometimes they make snarky comments. Sometimes I feel like as a woman, they look down on me which is funny because I'm the one who ultimately determines whether we buy another vehicle from them or not. I had a great experience buying a car here. This dealership is full of super nice, honest, and friendly people who put minimum pressure on you to do anything except what you want. Paul and Mark are absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed working with them. I called up to Bull Valley Ford and spoke with Bill about the 2012 Ford Raptor they have for sale on 1/10/19. I told him I would be traveling up from Kansas City and gave him a offer on the truck. He spoke with his manager and called me back saying that they just got the truck in on trade, and that they needed to do some repairs on it first before but the offer I sent should be an issue at all. I told them that I blocked off my schedule to go get a truck on 1/14/19 to work around my business. This is when he informed me that the parts probably wouldn't be in until Monday, so it would probably be Tuesday before it's ready. Even though I already had scheduled customers for my business to be gone on Monday I rescheduled everything to postpone it for this truck. At this time I also told them about my trade in and was told that it would be between $20,500-21,500 depending on the overall condition of the SUV. No problem I own a very high end detail shop, and keep each one of the cars I own in perfect shape anyway, so the $21,500 shouldn't be an issue. Monday comes and I end up having to call in later on the day after I hadn't heard anything to get an answer on the truck. This was when I was told the parts were delayed from weather. No problem and completely understandable. He then says the truck should be finished Tuesday 1/15/19. Great next day same thing happens where I end up having to call up there later on in the day to find out the truck was actually getting worked on. Now all of a sudden though the price of the truck went up $1,000, because of the repairs needed. Even though they performed the EXACT same repairs they told me up front and said the original offer shouldn't be an issue at all. I then say I will meet them in the middle even though I was already told that the one price wouldn't be an issue to begin with. Their comeback was to meet me in the middle and only take off $250. Well that's not really meeting me in the middle since I already did that. Now Bill says well give me a second and I'll go talk to the GM. He then calls me back and says the GM is telling him that the lowest is back to the $1000 more than the original accepted offer, and that my trade in was only going to be $20,500 no matter what. So somehow the price went up YET AGAIN, and the trade in went down even though they hadn't even seen the car yet. I postponed this trip, missed out on 3 other trucks I could of gotten that original day I was suppose to leave, and was jacked around with pricing MULTIPLE different times. I deal with dealerships sadly more than I would want to admit with how quickly I trade in/buy new ones and have NEVER been jacked around with by a dealership anywhere near this. They will tell you whatever they think you want to hear up front just to change it at the end and waste your time and screw you out of other cars you could of already gone and had. I would NOT recommend anyone out of state EVER deal with this company unless you enjoy being told multiple different prices (all making the transaction WORSE not better), and completely wasting your time! read more

If I could give negative stars to reflect our experience at this dealership I would. Let me start by saying 8 yrs ago we purchased our Expedition from this dealership. It was a fine transaction. However this most recent experience was horrible. It consisted of previewing the lot on a Sunday prior to going into test drive. They had three of the vehicles we were looking for to purchase. We went in on the following Saturday and test drove and chose the vehicle we wanted to talk numbers for. After virtually closing the place down that day we had to leave as we had other obligations. However we were not close number wise at that point. 15 mins after lvg we received a call from finance with a much better deal, but we couldn't return that night which they were made aware of. First thing Monday morning I got the follow up call and we proceeded to have a few hours of back and forth conversations on the phone and came to an agreement. I told them I'd be there by 4pm and they said they were detailing the vehicle and paperwork would be ready to go. Banking was secured etc. I was in constant contact with my dealer. 15 mins shy of my pulling into the lot to sign I received notification there was a slight issue , the vehicle was sold just now allegedly by a dealer unaware of our deal. That's not a SLIGHT issue. Needless to say we were furious. They said since no deposit was left the mishap occurred. However no one asked for one, nor did I know I needed to do that. No one called to allow us the chance to even put one down. And just like that the vehicle was gone. If we'd been given the opportunity to put a deposit down and chose not to that would be understandable. To top it off we didn't get a call after that with any sort of apology from management. My husband had to call to speak to them and as expected the call was filled with meaningless apologies and excuses of inexperienced salesmen. Now that may be true, however this should've been caught at several points when this secondary transaction occurred. Quite simply we went immediately that same night and purchased from a different dealership. There wasn't enough promises in the world to get our business back. We chose to go to a Chevy dealer to purchase our new Ford, and our experience there was phenomenal. I could not have been more disgusted with our experience here and will not be returning. read more

4hour drive- got there: they couldn't give me an estimated monthly payment, wouldn't tell me interest rate, what the value of my car was, she just kept saying, "im trying for a lower rate"... I never once gave her permission to run my credit, and not only did she run it once or twice, but 12 times!! Nobody knew what was going on, so we left. They tried telling me for a USED explorer- it was $900 something a month. (im still trying to figure out how they calculate their numbers). *So we went BACK to our home state and I got a brand spankin new Explorer for $20 more than what I pay currently. Several years ago when the Mercury Grand Marquis was no longer manufactured the Lincoln/Mercury dealer where I purchased the car was no longer in business. The manufacturer arranged for all Mercury's to be serviced at any Ford Dealership. Consequently, I found Bull Valley Ford. Their service department is top notch and the workmanship they offer is excellent. I never had to worry that the Grand Marquis would not be serviced by the best; and, the cost of service was fairly priced. Consequently, this is a dealership I was introduced to through the 'backdoor' so-to-speak. So . . . this year when I sold the Grand Marquis I was in the market for a Ford Fusion. Bull Valley Ford came through with a great deal on a great vehicle. The customer service was excellent and Alex our salesman was knowledgeable, helpful and a gentleman.
