Because they're kids and they're getting a cool opportunity to perform, they might even be too intimidated to refuse to say it ...which is straight up exploitation. School of Rock: please don't manipulate our kids that way, stay in your lane. Parents: be advised that you will not be your child's only moral influence when you send them to this music school. They don't just grow talent. They tell them what to believe and you might not agree.

I recommend this place to all my friends with kids and the main reason why I love Oam Studios is because they teach the fundamentals and explain the basics (shading, pencil pressure, anatomy, symmetry, etc) to children instead of making them replicate an art by following step by step instructions. Students get to pick their own project and the teacher works with them individually even though it's a group class. Teacher Omar created a system with gateways (drawing, painting, ceramics, digital art) that makes it fun for children to explore different means and 'advance in levels' as they learn more techniques. Most of other after school programs I've checked out tend to assign repetitive lessons (my son lost interests very quickly on anything repetitive and he resisted going). At Pinnacle Learning, the curriculum grows with the students, while the focus is learning while having fun. The teachers are highly educated and bilingual proficient with many years of experience in teaching Mandarin. When my son was attending a different bilingual school last year, I often caught the Mandarin teachers speaking English to my son because he was American-born. This is not the case at Pinnacle Learning. The teachers believe in full immersion, teaching only in Mandarin, and the results are amazing. Some of the students went from not knowing any Chinese to conversational and even able to perform a show on stage Completely in Chinese. The key is that the children enjoy learning Mandarin and have a strong desire to continue. I highly recommend Pinnacle Learning.
