Michelle and her crew are experienced, and they did create a cheerful environment for the kids. The bad - Sloppy day-to-day operations, or so we suspect at least. We could only speculate because the daycare was never open-door to parent visits (aside from the after-hour tour before we enrolled), but there were clear signs: (1) after the final checkout we found our son's steel mug missing, and it sounded like the crew didn't even remember seeing it - makes us wonder how they manage each kid's personal items. (2) Apparently, kids get to watch TV the last hour-ish before pickup every day. When we asked about this, Ms Michelle was 100% unapologetic. ("If you have concerns with that, I can totally arrange for your kid to stay in another room before pickup.") The ugly - The tuition uses a monthly rate without any adjustments for days off, and in December 2023, they're open for a whopping total of FOUR days - which isn't great, but nothing unethical I think, as they did share the calendar beforehand. We happen to be traveling the entire December, so we gave the 30-day notice for an end-of-November checkout. To our surprise, this was considered by Michelle an unfair (?) attempt to circumvent the December rip-off, and she insisted that we receive 5 fewer days of care in November. She would also go out of her way and type a "holiday notice" customized just for us. For context, the schedule has a 5-day off for Thanksgiving that's moved to December instead, and the daycare's open for the week of Thanksgiving. We were given a customized fake schedule that says they're closed during that week. We happened to be traveling, too, so it wasn't a huge issue, but the shady practice and bad attitude by Michelle did leave a bad taste. No, Ms Michelle, you can't claim people are "taking unfair advantages" when all they do is try to stick to YOUR established schedule. The care provided during Thanksgiving week was part of your schedule, simply as that and not a "benefit" that you selectively bestow only to those paying $2,000 for 4 days of care in the next month.

Our daughter, Penny, started in the youngest classroom at 1 1/2 and continued through the 2s class. Sadly, when her brother started kindergarten, the commute became too far for our family, and we had to make the difficult decision to move her to a school closer to home. We genuinely wish we could have kept both of our children at Little Flowers. Our family had such a positive experience here, and we are incredibly grateful for the care our children received. We would absolutely recommend Little Flowers Montessori to other families. This is the only school I actually had a bad experience. When you enter, every admin staff and teacher you greet is extremely friendly but don't assume that's what goes on when you're away. Our worst experience was when we were trying to move up our child from the 2's to the 3's class, They would not move him up because he wasn't potty trained even though he was very advanced for his age in every aspect. I've heard of many daycares requiring 4 year olds to be potty trained but not 3. And when we were transitioning and we were trying hard to potty trained and move him up to the 3 yo class (he was 3.5 and still in a class with kids who just turned 2!), he had small accident so instead of putting the extra diaper we kept on him, they put his pants on without an underwear for the rest of the day, as in "I told you so" message to me by the teacher/director. The director Vanessa was also abrasive and unkind about this whole transition process. Out of all the daycares in Pleasanton we've been to (The Child Day School, Global Village Montessori, St. Clare's, Sonshine preschool) this is the only one I tell my friends "don't do it".

He would also want me to stay to play with him at pick up, and that's how I had a chance to get to know Mr. Aaron and Ms. Keke so well. They are both kind, loving, generous adults -- anyone would be lucky to have their child cared for by them. When our son transitioned into the 2s Room, he had a hard time. The school's Director (Ms. Jill), along with Ms. Keke and Mr. Aaron, did everything that they could to smooth out his transition to his new teacher. They communicated with us at drop off and pick up and helped us support him from home. Tons of enriching activities, water play (on hop days), and outside time instilled our son with confidence and great social skills. We are grateful for his time at TCDS.

We are incredibly grateful for the experience she had and the strong foundation Little Goose helped her build. What we appreciated most was the warm, kind, and caring environment. The teachers give the children so much attention and genuinely care about their growth and well-being. Their approach emphasizes learning through play, which made learning feel natural and enjoyable for our daughter. Little Goose is also a bilingual Mandarin and English daycare, which was very important to us. Our daughter developed fluent Mandarin while attending Little Goose, and when she started TK two weeks ago, she was able to transition smoothly into an English-speaking school environment. She now communicates confidently in both Mandarin and English. We were also very impressed with how much she learned academically while still being allowed to be a kid. They introduce singing, the alphabet, numbers, and early writing skills in an engaging way. By her first week of TK, she was already able to write her own name, and we could really see how well Little Goose had prepared her for school. Another thing that really stood out was their approach to potty training. Our daughter was fully potty trained shortly after turning 3. Their method was so effective, patient, and natural that the transition was incredibly smooth -- she never had a single accident afterward. Overall, we are extremely impressed with Little Goose and the nurturing environment they have created. Our daughter left with wonderful memories, confidence, independence, strong language skills, and a great foundation for school. I had all three children in Wunderkind from 2020-2025 from 1 year old to prior to starting Kindergarten.The director, Mrs. Kumud, has years of experience and offers great direction for the kids, and parents as well. I consider her and her family incredible mentors of mine in my parenthood journey. Since our very first meeting at The Wunderkind with Mrs. Kumud, she has been professional, loving, and incredibly responsive. She was very thoughtful and smart when it came to navigating COVID (and general policies regarding illnesses), especially at a time when most larger daycares were closing their doors. The small based nature of the home environment really allows the kids to bloom and is developmentally appropriate for children in their early education. Mrs. Kumud is well organized and very clear and concise in her messaging. When talking about our daycare experience to other parents outside of Wunderkind, Ive always been so grateful that our kids were in such a well structured and affectionate environment. Our kids were more than ready when they transitioned to kindergarten.
