The one where you drop your kid off and they don't cry, they don't run after you and make you feel horrible for having a job. They have a clean face and a full belly when you show up for them. They have a clean diaper for the ride home. They have taken and sent multiple pics thru the day. They have a smile on their face when you pick them up, not running crying to you. They have low ratio supervision. The school that you (literally) have never heard a child crying, and i have been there all hours of the day. The school where the staff is dressed appropriately according to their position. Where there is always a genuine smile (or shoulder) for you. The one where actual projects, sand play, water play, art every day are done and the rooms are not destroyed. In February, that's just what we did. I won't mention the school for privacy reasons but anyone who knows they have changed schools knows i have been raving about them. All our younger kiddos go there currently. All I'm saying is, it makes a huge difference where your children feel comfortable enough to run off from you instead of after you. So thank you to all the educators who put in their days seemingly effortlessly to teach our children of all ages.You are making a difference

However, if you're a mom, you know most toddlers are not like that. Classrooms are oversized with 24 toddlers per class, without a proper protocol to help the child de-escalate, self-regulate, and be reintroduced to the class. Although the teachers know the classrooms are oversized, all they say is talk to the owners. I would NOT recommend anyone to place their children here unless you have worked with your child to self-regulate, listen, and follow instructions.

We had our 2 year old son here for less than a month, unfortunately our experience was unpleasant…read moreto say the least. They ask you to pack food for meals and will not heat up your child's food so be prepared to pack cold foods only. The staff just seemed annoyed more than anything at my son as he had a hard time adjusting to his new schedule. Just about everyday he cried upon drop off and pick up. Understandably there were growing pains, but even now at his current child care facility he adjusted within 2 weeks. The staff was avoidant when we tried asking questions and when we were able to talk to them (the little conversation we were able to have) they tried to keep it as short as possible with no elaboration. The worst came less than two weeks in. There was an incident that happened which ultimately resulted with my son needing stitches in his face from one of the teachers trying to pick him up from his cot before nap time to change his diaper. The story still is not clear and conveniently there was no video of what happened and no proper incident report was provided even after requested. Hopefully others have a better experience here and everyone can be kept safe in the future.

Every question was answered, and the staff took the time to give us one-on-one attention so that we could ensure this was the right fit for our children's needs. That level of care and intentionality made all the difference for our family. They teach and live by seven core values: compassion, gratitude, honesty, love, perseverance, respect, and responsibility. Our children are encouraged to demonstrate these values daily and receive positive praise in real time as well as our children receiving written recognition that is sent home so we can continue reinforcing those lessons as parents. It truly feels like a partnership. In addition, they work with my kids on educational fundamentals such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes. My children both have asthma, and the staff has been extremely attentive and responsive to their needs. It brings such a peace of mind knowing they are in caring and capable hands. Any time there has been a minor injury--like a bump or fall--we immediately receive a call, an email, and a face-to-face conversation with staff so we are fully informed. Their communication is outstanding. Now that my daughter is school-aged, they continue to support her with care - during breaks- and we feel incredibly blessed to still be part of this community. My son has autism though, and so they said I needed an aide or they would not allow him to attend. So I went through hell to get the aide set up. It took weeks and hours and hours on the phone and filling out paperwork. And then I went to tour the two year old class with my son. I told them I wanted him to be with kiddos his own age to have the opportunities to learn the skills other two year olds were learning. And everything was fine, but when I was leaving after the tour they said they had decided it was a good idea to start my son in the younger classroom, which they said was 18-36 months. Even though he had a spot in the two year old class? But then when I asked for the pricing schedule for that class, it was listed as 12-24 months. My son is two and a half. So I called back and said why are you trying to put my two year old son in a class that's not for his age when you told me there is a spot in the two year old class? And they insisted there were two year olds in the class. But when I pushed to find out exactly how many, I found out they were actually moving all of the two year olds up to the two year old class right when my son would start, so he would not have any kids the same age in that class. And they had given my spot in the two year old class away to one of those kids. So now I no longer had the spot that existed for him anymore. As if life wasn't hard enough being a parent of an autistic child. It's hard as hell. And then you have to deal with people trying to deny your kid the same opportunities as other kids. My son is a sweet, gentle little two year old boy, no behavioral issues, loves being around other kids, and he was going to have an aide for the time he was there at their insistence. And he needs the opportunity to learn the same skills other kids learn in daycare. If you have an autistic child or know anyone who has an autistic child, think carefully about which businesses you want to support and which you don't.

On the 4th day, I received a call to come and get him. While I was there, I witnessed another child exhibiting the EXACT behavior, NOT autistic. I quickly realized what was happening. My son was mimicking this little boy's behavior. My only question- why weren't his parents called ? I understand they aren't trained to deal with ASD. But my son has absolutely THRIVED in KinderCare. NO issues. And they aren't specially trained for ASD either.

Although we've been through at least four different site directors, I'm greatful to Misses Sue, Indigo and Sarah for being consistent faces that greet my child each day and enjoy her. The reason I've knocked a couple of stars is due to inconsistent site directors and inconsistent and irresponsible business practices from the owner. I'm a private pay parent and although the price is one of the lowest I've seen for daycares, we're charged per day. So as private pay parents, we have to wait for invoices in order to address the monthly payment. We're often invoiced at inconsistent dates either in the middle of the month or sometimes we receive 2 invoices back to back because the owner is late in sending them. Another point, while we can pay via the app, I noticed we're being charged additional charges just for inconvenience fees that are anywhere between $20-$30 more. Since this is the case, I've been paying via check. However, the owner doesn't cash the checks right away so I'm having to budget for over $3k in my account, until she decides to cash them. I've also noticed an error in the procare app which the daycare uses to invoice/ charge parents. The app shows an overcharge of $141 discrepancy from what I actually owe. I've emailed and sent notes to the owner multiple times without an apology or any communication that it will get fixed. I've received no communication directly from the owner. For me personally, her behavior is reckless, irresponsible and unacceptable. It's clear she should hire an administrator to handle the finances. And as far as the site directors go, it's clear that they're not the problem.

But they practice writing learn sound of letters and site word which is above and beyond! Shout out to mrs. Somer who has worked one on one with my son. She really puts her all everyday for her kids. She does research on her own to help kids I recently found out my son has adhd and she just totally looked up stuff to help him adjust in her class. she's truly the best of the best and shout out to miss Wanda (the director) for being such and open door and highly communicative she has been so patient and should be recognized for all she has done!
