While setting the time up was simple and straightforward and Allen was great to work with, I was NOT impressed with the actual Laser Tag event. I was told it would be a hands off experience for the parent and that the host attendents would direct the kids in game styles and options and interact with them, enforcing rules etc. The two attendants sat at the table almost the ENTIRE time of our event. Barely interacted with the kids outside of the very beginning. One of them sat behind the table just shooting the kids that were playing. My son, the birthday boy, had to ask them to set up the hideouts because they were about to start without them, and the attendent replied with "sometimes we forget those in the warehouse, but ill see if they are in the van" luckily they were in the van, but I suspect if he hadn't asked they would not have set them up. The "obstacles" kept blowing over during play, and the attendent would wait until they blew over and then go stake them. They also set the field up very small, even though I told them them the age and the athletic abilities of the boys. read more

This was our first time renting a Game Trick for our kiddos birthday and it was the best experience and a great surprise present for her. The truck arrived exactly on time and parked outside our house. The conductor took just 5 minutes and everything was set up. There are 4 nice sized Tv's inside along with comfy sofas. At one time they can accommodate up to 24 kids/adults with multiple peeps playing the games. I am not much into video games so won't be able to explain much but can vouch from my kids, other kids and cousins who played that they were thrilled and had a mega good time. The attendant was very polite, calm and patient while dealing with the kids and he kept entertaining them and answered all of their questions including teaching them how to play some games and some cool tips and tricks. Drinks and Food are not allowed aboard the Game Truck and this Truck was very well maintained. They have tons and tons of games and the moment you name it the attendant will have it running within a minute or so. We had originally planned a pool party for my son's 9th bday but when we saw it was going to be raining we had to change it up quick so thankfully I remembered Game Truck Sacramento from the Kids Expo at Cal Expo earlier this year and gave them a call. It was pretty short notice but thankfully they had availability for a Sat afternoon. We did the Gameplex option where they just set up 4 big screens in the garage. The kids had a great time especially my son! We had two hours of game time which went by super fast for the kids. Most of them were glued to their seats. My wife and I didn't have too much cleaning up to do since the kids spent most of the time in the garage so everybody wins! We just had my son's 11th birthday with GameTruck. It was great. First they accommodated us even though we were out of their normal area for a nominal fuel surcharge. I was fine with the fuel surcharge as a more local option had many reviews where they didn't even show up and I needed to have trust in our choice. GameTruck Sacramento did not disappoint. They confirmed a week prior and the driver (Blake) called the morning of to let me know he was on the road. He also called a little later to inform us he was stuck in traffic and would be a little late. This was lucky for us as many people were stuck in the same Memorial Day weekend traffic. When Blake arrive he got the truck set up quickly, apologized for the tardiness ( more than once) and ensured the kids received their full two hours. It all worked out great. Also Blake did great ensuring kids of various ages (3-45 years young) were included and had games to play. They even had a few handheld nintendo switches so there wasn't much time where kids could play something. GAme ON! highly recommended for Big Kids Birthday parties. Game truck kept these energetic boys and girls entertained for 2 hours. It was actually kinda odd the to have some peace and quiet inside the house. Moms and dads and friends actually have time to visit and chitchat ( while we of course take turns checking the kids outside the Game truck) It seems such an organized party . Such a change from having a bunch of kids running around, playing inside my not so big house. My kids had a wonderful time playing video games in the game truck! What surprised me was how much fun we had paying Laser Tag! The obstacle course was set up and all the kids ages 5-55 played together. We did laser tag for my son's 7th birthday party and it was a HIT! Connor was really helpful in scheduling and answering all my questions about what to expect before the event. Kayla set everything up (bunkers, tents, computer equipment, etc.) and was the right amount of firm yet fun with the kids to make sure laser tag was successful for everyone. She ran everything related to laser tag so the adults at the party could hang out and not worry about the game. Each laser tag game is 7 minutes and included about 20 kids who could rotate in and out after each game. I would highly recommend Game Truck's laser tag for your child's party! If I could I would rate them a 0 because they are very unprofessional. They called us 2 hr before the party once every thing was set up and was scheduled for laser tag.And they told us it was windy and they could not do anything about it and didn't even offer any sort of game truck for entertainment. And they said they check the weather but it was windy the day before and didn't even warn us. And we were so stressed out because we had no entertainment for the party right before everybody came to the party. I can not tell you how impressed I am with these guys. I booked online, about a month in advance, for my son's 7th birthday party. They sent me a confirmation email about a week out. The party was scheduled to start at 1:00, the truck showed up at 12:45 and was ready for the crew right at 1:00. Steven(sp?) was absolutely amazing. This is probably the best birthday party venue one can get for boys on their birthday, and the game truck was early allowing the boys an extra 15 minutes added to their 2 hours game time. Great gaming experience for 8-9 years old attending a party and what we liked was we got to speak to the game coach what they are allowed to play and not play. The game truck was equipped with 4 huge flat screens and Xbox, Nintendo, and PlayStation consoles. When reading the website, the birthday party package suggested that the truck was acceptable for up to 24 children. When I called to book the party, the representative on the phone told me maximum of 20. I asked as to why the discrepancy of the website, but he did not have a good answer. Looking at the pictures on the website, you are led to believe there are more TV's on the inside of the truck (and a possible two TV's that open up to the outside of the truck). I had a total of 20 kids -- because I was told that was the max - and the truck that pulled up was much smaller than I had expected. There were 4 TV's/game systems on the inside and the kids were expected to play 4 players to 1 TV/game system to = 16 players. Worked for some of the kids, not so much the others as there were popular games but only allowed 2 players. The other 4 were given hand held games. I don't think I would spend that kind of money again. Some of the kids were not keen on waiting their turn/sharing and hopped off the truck and into my house (exactly where I did not want kids to be!!!) read more
