    Tasting Flights

3.5 Stars We visited Genoa Cellars on a Saturday, making it our second wine stop of the day. Located in the industrial area, wine-hopping is easy around this part of Woodinville, with plenty of different wineries to choose from, including Genoa. Compared to the other wineries we visited, these wines didn't have me wanting more. The four of us came in without a reservation, so we were told that we could sit at the table by the door, but would need to leave within the hour for another party. No problem at all. We took a seat and let them know that each of us were doing a flight. What was cool about Genoa is that they pour all of the tastings for you at the same time, so they don't have to keep going back and forth to the table to pour the next one, a good practice for taking safety measures during this time. We started with a rose and had three reds. As with flights, the more bold one is usually the last, which is the one I liked the most. It was a cab sauv blend, with mostly cab sauv, so had nice flavor. Genoa specializes in Tuscan-style wines, so was cool to try something I don't normally get. But it wasn't my favorite. However, it's definitely worth trying, especially if you like sangiovese wines.

Elbow to elbow ... so uncomfortable during busy time.

It would have been a 5 stars experience if the wine tasting room is a reasonable size. Both white and red are our favorites. This is the one out of three wine clubs that we visit the least with friends because how small it is. The staff Aaron great and they tried their best to provide a decent experience but your tasting room is just so small. During my short wine tasting (I hurried and try to leave the crowd quickly with my shipment), I saw six visitors walked in. They saw the situation and left. I don't don't blame them. And, Genoa only opens on Friday to Sunday. Hope you will improve the tasting room in the long run. Thank you for being here.

Good wine and good times @ Genoa Cellars!

My daughter and I hadn't seen each other for about 3 months and we needed to reconnect and decompress with a glass of wine. Never mind that it was midday. Genoa Cellars suited our needs beautifully. The day was sunny with no wind. What a pleasant patio we had in which to taste our truly wonderful wine. LeAnn treated us like royalty, bringing us our wine tastes out there. We had our own minion!! (She's much better looking) In fact, she was a great friend by the time we left. We tasted numerous wines and became funnier, younger, and prettier. Every single wine we tasted was exemplary. Whites, reds and blends!! We left with a box of several kinds. Not only was the finish of every single wine noteworthy, Genoa Cellars provided the perfect finish to our day.

Great Tuscan-style wines and excellent retail bottle prices. One of the better wine-tasting experiences in the Hollywood schoolhouse area of Woodinville, especially when the sun is out and you can relax on the patio.

l! There are so many wineries in the warehouse district and this would be a great addition to your "wine hopping"

05/24/2026 TASTING…read moreROOM I loved visiting this winery and can't believe I didn't the few other times I traveled to Seattle. They do a summer concert series, and it was the first one of the season. My friend and I got there early, and only one other group had started lining up for VIP. So we went to the tasting room and grabbed seats at the bar. They were offering a $30 "Take Away Flight" with both red and white wine options. I got three reds and the white that they promoted for the summer concert series. All of them were pretty good. I loved how the wine flight was presented (see photo). I would definitely go back just to hang out at the winery next time and drink more. SUMMER CONCERT SERIES I thought the concert would be well organized since this isn't their first time. However, the staff seemed lost when it came to when and where the VIP check-in would be. We had Soundcheck VIP tickets for Yellowcard, and didn't get to go in until like 45 minutes after the scheduled time. So that cut into the VIPs' early entry time. Fortunately we got to the merch tables right before they let general admission in. There were plenty of porta potties. A decent amount of food options. We got a burger and chicken fingers & fries. Of course they offered wine, as well as beer. You also had the option to buy wine bottles at the winery and bring it into the concert area. We sat front row, which had a great view, but it was also right in front of a walkway, so that was a bit annoying. Watching soundcheck and the concert itself was very fun. Overall a good experience, and I would go back!

Huge estate and beautiful, but it feels very corporate. If you just want a beautiful place to enjoy…read morefood and wine, Chateau Ste. Michelle is nice, but don't expect a true wine-tasting experience. The staff rushes you from the moment you arrive and tells you how long you have the table before you even sit down. They don't seem very enthusiastic about the wines, don't show you the bottles, and don't seem very knowledgeable about what they're serving. The food was actually great, but our server even asked us to go to the front to order it. Overall, the service felt very rushed and unorganized. The place was packed and seemed overbooked. I would skip it if you're looking for a relaxed, enjoyable wine-tasting experience.
