I love discovering a new winery! I was in the mood for some Tuscan-style reds, especially since I get really tired of Washington Cab, and found this spot online. It is located in the warehouse district, which has plenty of parking and a lot of small wineries. The service was lovely! The tasting associate had the perfect balance of telling us about the wine and they styles but also letting us catch up and gossip without feeling like we were being interrupted. Their Sangiovese was lovely! I really liked all the wines I tried there and appreciate that they had their own style, rather than copying the same formula that most wineries tend to copy and paste. The tasting room is average size for the warehouse district and does not take reservations, but we were able to get a table for 4 on a Sunday afternoon without a wait. read more

What a cute, small, cozy tasting room featuring Tuscan wines! Genoa means 'sailing' and so all their wines are named after the various parts of a sailboat! The sommelier was very knowledgeable and we had a very pleasant tasting experience. We got to taste 5 wines - 1 white and 4 reds for $10 of which two were reserves. What a sweet deal! 3.5 Stars We visited Genoa Cellars on a Saturday, making it our second wine stop of the day. Located in the industrial area, wine-hopping is easy around this part of Woodinville, with plenty of different wineries to choose from, including Genoa. Compared to the other wineries we visited, these wines didn't have me wanting more. The four of us came in without a reservation, so we were told that we could sit at the table by the door, but would need to leave within the hour for another party. No problem at all. We took a seat and let them know that each of us were doing a flight. What was cool about Genoa is that they pour all of the tastings for you at the same time, so they don't have to keep going back and forth to the table to pour the next one, a good practice for taking safety measures during this time. We started with a rose and had three reds. As with flights, the more bold one is usually the last, which is the one I liked the most. It was a cab sauv blend, with mostly cab sauv, so had nice flavor. Genoa specializes in Tuscan-style wines, so was cool to try something I don't normally get. But it wasn't my favorite. However, it's definitely worth trying, especially if you like sangiovese wines. read more

It would have been a 5 stars experience if the wine tasting room is a reasonable size. Both white and red are our favorites. This is the one out of three wine clubs that we visit the least with friends because how small it is. The staff Aaron great and they tried their best to provide a decent experience but your tasting room is just so small. During my short wine tasting (I hurried and try to leave the crowd quickly with my shipment), I saw six visitors walked in. They saw the situation and left. I don't don't blame them. My daughter and I hadn't seen each other for about 3 months and we needed to reconnect and decompress with a glass of wine. Never mind that it was midday. Genoa Cellars suited our needs beautifully. The day was sunny with no wind. What a pleasant patio we had in which to taste our truly wonderful wine. LeAnn treated us like royalty, bringing us our wine tastes out there. We had our own minion!! (She's much better looking) In fact, she was a great friend by the time we left. We tasted numerous wines and became funnier, younger, and prettier. Every single wine we tasted was exemplary. I highly enjoyed our wine tasting experience here! The wines were yummy. Though I know wine is something that everyone has their own pallet for. But I really enjoyed the rose. Had to buy a bottle. The ladies pouring were great!!!! I wish I could remember their names. One lady it was her first day but you couldn't tell. We talked about the wines, the vineyard, kids, and just life! I am a fan of this wine however I will never come back to this tasting room! One of the ladies was very rude and my pour was extremely light. I tend to buy at least 1 bottle from each place I visit but I cannot bring myself to purchase a bottle because of your staff. Genoa you should look at replacing the older blonde lady. She is not doing your business any good. However, the brunette was very nice and informative about your wines. I won't be back. read more

We REALLY loved our stop here! Genoa is somewhat new to the Woodinville Warehouse district but left a great impression on us. We had purchased a groupon but will be back and definitely got more than our moneys worth! The tasting was paired with chocolate and the gal helping us was not just friendly but extremely knowledgeable on the wines, regions, growing conditions, educating us but not boring us, it was really fun to hear her talk about each of the wines. She even brought out tasting books and charts for us to look at when we asked questions (yaaa, we are a pretty rad group, I know!) Genoa shares its tasting room with Piccola winery so you can hit two spots almost simultaneously. We did not have one bad one while we were tasting there. The pours were very good, and I am really looking forward to going back. I love tasting wine with people who really know their wine and enjoy what they do - keep up the good work on educating us wine dummies and making delicious product guys! read more

We went on 4/1616. Excellent customer service! She greeted us so warmly and genuinely, even with our Woodinville Wine Passports (received sub par service at a well known winery right before Genoa - as soon as we mentioned we had the passports - but this is a different review)! Anyway, we all liked the wines, the outdoor seating and the nice bonus of 10% off purchase being a Passport holder. Even without the discount we still would've bought the bottles. I'm not a rose fan, but Genoa's was great! read more

Their website said they were open until 7. We bicycled 40 minutes and got there at 6:15, saw the folding signboard on the sidewalk that said they were open, and went up to the door to find out they closed at 6. Incredibly frustrating. They couldn't be bothered to update the site, or even walk a few yards and pull in the "open" sign? With so many choices, will not be bothering with these bozos. read more

This place specializes in reds, that I think are very good, though I'm certainly no expert. I enjoy everything on their tasting list. Their prices are also reasonable, so I don't feel guilty buying a few bottles now and again. The tasting room is also quite nice: they have some neat wooden decor, as well as 2 separate outdoor seating areas. The people working there have always been friendly and pleasant to talk to. Not a fan. Very weak pours. They didn't even rinse my white wine before serving the red wines and did not know a thing about their wines. The wines were mediocre at best. Go to The Cave next door for a much better experience. read more
