It wasn't ridiculously furry, but it did have a dusting. I dropped off the sweater on a Saturday in the early afternoon. The woman behind the counter picked up the sweater with 2 fingers and outwardly grimaced. She was extremely rude. I reluctantly decided to give them a chance anyway. My mistake. She told me that I didn't need it right away. How does she know?! I agreed to pick it up the following Saturday. I gave her my cell number and left. When I stopped before work the following Saturday, she told me it wasn't done. I asked her why i hadn't be called about it not being finished, and she had no answer. I told her to forget it, and just return my sweater. She then told me it wasn't in the store, that it had been sent out to another store. I demanded that she find it and call me when it was in. She told me the soonest would be Tuesday. She then called me that afternoon, and said they had it in the store. They hadn't cleaned it because it was too hairy. I asked why they had kept it a week then, and again she had no answer. I would've been cool if they told me they couldn't do it, but to take it for a week and run me around like that is ridiculous. After several positive, no-nonsense experiences of having dry cleaning done, I decided to give the alterations a try. So I took in 3 dresses, 2 pants and several skirts to have them taken in after I lost some weight. WOW!! So glad I gave this place a try. She made the clothes look brand new and the prices were very fair. What I appreciated the most is that she told me up-front that one of the dresses wouldn't look right after alterations because it was too big (even after taking it in, it wouldn't look right). She advised me not to waste my money and that I should just have it replaced instead of paying for alterations and not liking it. I like the honesty! The other pieces turned out great. Mike from A&D came out the day I called and even accommodated the time I needed due to my work schedule. He explained everything to me as he was checking things over. They have been working at our house for a few weeks and are very knowledgeable on water damage and mold issues. Not only did they complete the task successfully for a reasonable fee, they never once complained about the difficulty or extra time involved, nor did they ask for more money. They were very professional and courteous throughout the entire job and I appreciated that they called twice in advance before arriving--once to let me know they were on their way and a second time to give me a new ETA based on the fact that they were stuck in heavy traffic.
