And his surgeon from TTU was absolutely horrible. If you're an older person you might as well just go lie down in a field somewhere and die. That's how you'll be treated there. Nobody cares sat all! It's all a deflection contest, blame someone else for the horrible care, the nasty bed, the infection from the nastiness, the constant pain they refused to address, all of it.

This place seems to be a bit of an enigma. When I first looked it up several months ago I found a…read moreweb page for a menu but it hadn't been updated in a year or two. Just now I looked again and there's no sign of them even having a dining area much less, what the daily menu might be. Compare that to BSA where at any time you can look up their menu to see what they are serving. I went here a couple weeks ago about 5:30 p.m. which I thought would be a safe time, right in the middle of a normal dinner time. But they had very few offerings. There was a fairly extensive salad bar so that's what I got. Everything else except for maybe pizza seemed to be closed for the day. I think someone told me those foods are only available until 2:30. But as I was leaving I saw people lined up to order hamburgers from the grill so that information given to me must have been incorrect. I could have gotten a hamburger or something instead of, or to go along with, my salad. The salad itself was perfectly good. Certainly not gourmet, nor did I expect that. I have noticed that all hospital cafeterias seem to serve food that I do not personally consider overly healthy, laden with chemicals, preservatives, fillers and excessive salt and sugar. I would expect better from a hospital than from a restaurant. At BSA they definitely have a 10% senior discount. At Northwest there didn't seem to be any such thing and I think I did remember to ask about it but the employee was far from friendly and pretty much ignored my question. I was charged by the pound for the salad and it came to $8. I just noticed at the top of the receipt it says the Blue Point Cafe so I will try googling that to see if any more information comes up. The foods on the menu that sounded good would only be available at lunch time I guess. I didn't get a picture of the salad bar but I did get a picture of my actual salad. It was a warm enough day that it did hit the spot. I love desserts but none of theirs looked appealing enough to buy. A different person might find something they liked though. If you happen to be visiting someone in the hospital then I'm sure this place would do the job. I do think that the employees need to be a little more welcoming. I realize it's not a restaurant but basic human decency says people should be pleasant and friendly and helpful to each other. The people at BSA have always been so to me. I can't help but compare the two since they are both hospital cafeteria type places.

I went in for a diagnosis of wernickes, they put a IV in me that made me feel absolutely horrible…read moreand when I ask if they could take it out or help me with the bad feeling I was having, the Dr blurted out infront of my family member " It's not us making you feel bad it's probably because you are on Meth" they quickly assumed I was just on drugs did not treat me for my diagnosis and the drs were laughing at me and would no longer help me, I am on a medication Bupropion that can cause fake positives, I later took a pee test, was negative for the drug I was accused of, the Dr then came in ripped my IV out and said" I hope we helped you feel better from your bender " HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Everyone we dealt with was down to earth, friendly, and accommodating, yet confident and professional. When your body is getting cut open you want to trust the people who are working on you. So far, every time I have tried to connect to an appointment scheduler, the operator advised me to walk in to make an appointment. On today's call, there were 5 attempts from the operator to connect to a scheduler, none of which were answered. I have yet to speak with a live person to schedule an appointment. I have now lived in TX for four months and cannot get seen.
