ER we were there 5 hours they did blood work and the people were helpful. But the waiting area was so cold. And in 5 hours we waited we never seen the doctor. So my husband checked himself out. Its 32 degree out and the ER waiting room was very cold. Everyone in the room was waring their coats and we're still very cold. Why dont they turn on the heat. This hospital is full of caring and knowledgable staff that is so easy to talk with. You don't feel like a number like can be at the larger hospitals. They take the time to look you over. When I arrived, immediate kindness was felt. Cole and Stephanie started me out with just a positive approach. They know what they are doing! Chelsea came in a started the IV on the first attempt and continued the kindness. Dr. Gregg was in depth and you could read the deep thinking going on to find the source of the abdominal pain. Through the contrast CT scan, Stephanie explained the procedure which helped make sure I kept calm and did things properly. After that, the results showed that I had diverticulitis. When it was found that no surgery would be needed, I chose to stay overnight at this hospital because of the remarkable staff. Through the night, Cole and Chelsea were working hard to keep track of the necessary IV work while keeping their friendliness. When my blood sugar was tested, becuase I am diabetic, the positive treatment continued. The next morning, happy Becca came in to relieve Cole and Chelsea. Becca was easy to talk to and also explained what I needed to do to show if I would be healed enough to be released. Lenora was so friendly was she came in to take blood for the tests. Dr. Gregg checked on my condition. I explained how thankful I was that Dr, Gregg had done such an excellent job and the antibiotics lowered my pain level from severe to very low. When Dr. Walsh had come in after Dr. Gregg, he continued to check on my status and explained the changes that will be needed since diverticulitis is now a part of me. I am very grateful for the treatment, knowledge and true compassion that is shown by this staff. I will suggest to this hospital to anyone that asks. read more

I just received a bill for over $69,000.00 for that terrible experience I endured at your facility back in October 15, 2022. To add insult to injury, I just received this invoice yesterday it is demanding payment by 4-4-2023??? Is this a joke? The lady ( whom only identied herself as 'Lydia') is a joke and rude. She lied about 'knowing' a Pat Smith (whom is posted all over the facility on Coulter in Amarillo. She has the worst manners when some us calling by answering the phone as " hello". Excuse me??? I didn't know I was calling a friend or someone I know. Only after being called out did she say the company name. What kind of 'Advocate' is that??? Won't provide full names of whom you are speaking with other than 'Paula' and then transfers you to a phone (without giving a number etc). This is terrible. This place was recommended by the owner of the motel I'm staying at so when I started having some tummy problems I came here to see if I could be checked out. I thought it was an urgent care but the receptionist told me it was an emergency room facility and the price would be higher plus she doubted if they took my California insurance. She recommended I try down the street at the clinic that was just an urgent care. I appreciated her forthrightness. I had stopped in here once before a long time ago and ask them if I could use their scale to check my weight and they were very cheerful about that also. read more

(3.75 stars) Following my Yelp review I received an email from ER Now, stating that they do accept Blue Cross payments as payment-in-full (aside from deductible amounts). I had paid the $195.20 emergency room fee and a $100 co-payment ($1,200 originally billed), but $525 for the actual medical services remained open-- largely because they hadn't sent a bill (i.e.- no remit-to address). Blue Cross maintained that these charges exceeded what was considered "reasonable" by $420. Following a telephone exchange last week, ER Now credited the $420, leaving only a $104 deductible balance. I received their adjusted bill today, and immediately paid it. It took two months to get this matter resolved, but ER Now did exactly what they had promised to do. On that basis I'm happy to upgrade my review, and to highlight the quality and service rendered by ER Now-- rather than billing grief. read more

I've been here twice and both times I received quick and excellent care. Both physicians were thorough and explained everything to me. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A few months later I received the bills, and they were financially impossible for me. I went back and forth between their billing agency and my insurance before getting into contact with someone at the facility that was willing to help me. They helped me in a way I will always be grateful for. These people truly are about patient care, even the financial aspect. read more

We are in town visiting family and had an accidental injury requiring an Emergency Room visit. We were quite impressed with our entire experience! Staff and provider with time to speak with us and treat the injury quickly with nothing but pleasant professionalism. As frequent ER guests, we've had more than our share of ER experiences and this was, by far, the most pleasant and professional experience yet. We love the privately owned concept a lot, too. Horrible care. I went because I felt something was wrong above the norm, that could not wait 14 hours for the doctor the next day. I had some concerning, sudden and abnormal symptoms. Also, I had a cough. I had for sometime. I do not need an ER to treat my cough. I can go to my primary care during the day, or my pharmacy. I had real concerns for my health. They determined I had a cough, and sent me on my way with cough medicine Rx, and antibiotics for some unknown reason. Not even bothered to test to determine a bacterial infection of any kind. I even had to ARGUE with them as they were shuffling me out the door that I had other symptoms that no one addressed. That THOSE were why I had come in. Not a cough. And they told me that I should see my primary care for my other, sudden, and concerning symptoms. Multiple times. The reason I walked in there, the reason I paid hundreds of dollars thinking they would address, and possibly maybe even feign concern over was NOT their concern. I needed to make an appointment with another doctor to check THOSE symptoms out. DISTRESPECTFUL, AND A SCAM. read more

My daughter Madison had a great experience at ER Now. She hurt her ankle snowboarding and waited 2 days later to get it checked out in Amarillo. The staff was very hospitable and professional. I've been to a lot ERs for various reasons over the years and this was by far the best. My daughter has been corresponding with physician she saw to get more clarity on the fracture and what to expect going forward with an orthopedic visit and prognosis. I would give them 0 stars, if it were possible. I took my daughter for possible strep throat. The only thing they did was weigh her and take her temp- no strep test! They did write a prescription for an antibiotic. The whole experience was around 15 minutes. Just got 2 bills totaling around $1200!!! I have gone to the ER at the hospital and had several test performed and gotten out for much cheaper. DON"T GO HERE!! Maybe we can get them close shop and leave town! read more

I'm giving them 1 star so I can create this review, but they deserve ZERO stars. I went in with alcohol poisoning and numbness and tingling in both arms and legs, i drove myself to the ER bc no one else was home to do it, the ride there was excruciating and i had to pull over numerous times to let it all out, i was completley dehydrated and a severe anxiety attack followed.. Dr TROUT REFUSED TO HELP ME AND SENT ME ON MY WAY BACK HOME STILL NUMB WITHOUT TREATMENT. This was due to a religious belief that intertwined with the medical world, he did not agree with my decision that was made 10 YEARS ago. They made sure to check my vitals and said "well you're not dieing, you can leave" and I HAD enough money to pay for my services WITHOUT insurance. This place is morally wrong in everything they do. I could have passed out from the anxiety attack while driving home and ended up dead from an accident, but bc Dr Trout didn't like one of the past surgical medical procedures I reported when they ask about that, I was denied care even with enough money to pay for it. read more
