The doctor was friendly and gave good advice on how to handle my situation. My problem was with the fee: I was charged $305, of which insurance (OSU HP) paid $118. I have to pay $187 for a visit (no tests or procedures). This seems excessive. I emailed them about this, and they didn't have any explanation of the charges other than that visits to specialists were more expensive than primary care. I am going to ask more questions about price etc. next time I get a referral.

I never felt anyone was in a hurry and they each took so much time to listen to and assess her thoroughly. I'm…read morevery specific when I give my insurances on how they were billed etc. On July 14, 2023 and again on July 24,2023 I stopped into their billing office and told them if they billed correctly I should not receive a bill because Tricare for Life is a wrap around for Medicare and whatever Medicare doesn't cover Tricare for Life covers 100%. When Tricare for Life is billed either correctly or incorrectly I get notified staying they covered xyz amount or they state due to x probably they didn't pay and I'm not responsible for the bill because of their error. ortho one states I owe $283.61 and never billed Tricare for Life and since we're now rolling into 3 years after the fact----Tricare for Life will probably tell them to go kick rocks. I have NEVER received any correspondence about this from Tricare for Life which means they didn't bill. What's sad is these places are notorious for partial billing and sticking the patient with what's left over-----why accept $75 from Tricare when I can bill the patient for a higher amount of $284.61 I've explained it to them repeatedly and yet they still have not billed Tricare for life and yes they accept Tricare for life. Sad really. I currently have a text stating I owe $284.61 and it's their error not mine

Went in to see Dr. Kravitz today because I have an ingrown toenail that needed to come out. I drove 40 minutes to get help but all I got was a bill and wasted time and gas for my car. Had to miss work for nothing! I walked out never to return. When my toe falls off I will sue.
