I just finished my touch up appointment for micro blading with powder brow shading with Melissa today. I really couldn't be more pleased with the results. She numbed my eyebrow area for at least 20 minutes before the initial procedure and I barely felt what she was doing. But honestly, even if it was uncomfortable the results were worth it. I've been to Melissa multiple times in the past three years. I had Micro-blading done at by her. I do not want giant caterpillar eyebrows. I just want to fill in the spaces where I have no hair. My eyebrows are completely uneven. I have to fill them in with gel to make them look, even. This last time I went to her I just asked if she could fill in a few spots and she wanted to draw them out to make them huge and I did not want that done so I stopped her in the middle of the procedure, and she intern raised her voice telling me that she's doing her job. That i'm not letting her do her job. I replied, saying well this is my face! I am not going to be bullied and botched by somebody. This is absolutely ridiculous this woman has been threatening me saying shes going to the police for my legit review of an illegitimate service. Don't come here unless you wish to be harassed after receiving an awful job. The business owner never offered me a refund, as I blocked her after receiving threatening text messages. I can't believe the owner would give out a customers phone number like that. Never come here unless you want your personal information shared with her friends. I wasn't properly numb. it was super painful. on top of that, I wasn't aware that you are not aloud to do micro needling with active pimple. which she was clearly aware of since she claims she's been doing this for years. she still did the procedure. I bought a groupon to get a lash lift from her. When she was done they all looked clumped together so I couldn't tell how they looked, and she tells me that she left the treatment on longer than usual so they will last longer. The next day I realize I look ridiculous. On one of the eyes, it looks like she curled it to a slant, and the lashes towards the middle of my eye weren't curled at all. She also curled a lot of the bottom lashes upward. The other eye is curled so much that the lashes are touching my eye lid. About a week later I wake up and the lashes on that eye are literally smushed to my face and won't 'unsmush', the texture of them is different and they feel fried. One of my eyes is curled so much that l it's touching my eyelid, on the other eye only HALF my eyelashes is curled and it seems like she curled them on a slant. Every morning I have to spend like 20 minutes to comb them out and curl some of the lashes and weight them down with mascara to make my 2 eyes look at least a little bit similar. That was over a week ago and I just came back from my vacation and this morning noticed that all of the lashes on one of my eye was all smushed against my eyelid, nothing I do will 'unsmush' them, and I also noticed that the lashes on that eye much feel different and feel fried. She had asked multiple questions that i would assume one would know, owning their own business. The lift itself wasn't even good. Her actions seemed very opinion based, along with the unprofessionalism that seemed to appear throughout the service. I have long eyelashes and they barely look any different. Please, do some more research on places to get your lashes done. It might be a little more expensive, but trust me, it'll be worth it. Speaking from my experience, I went here for microneedling. It was a very painful experience. After the procedure I was forced to seek medical treatment elsewhere, I spoke with my dermatologist and they said that numbing cream is on for 30-40 minutes. Melissa put it on for 2 minutes and I told her during the treatment how painful it was and said can we put on more numbing cream she said it creates a barrier only a little bit left. As a practicing nurse it is her responsibility to listen to the patient (client in this case) and knowing someone is in pain to continue to place them in pain is unethical and negligent. As a health care provider it's Melissa's responsibility to maintain a safe environment, which was not maintained during my session. When I spoke with my doctor they said if you take it off properly with alcohol that there is no barrier. I had track marks on my face for two weeks. I was breaking out for a while after, had discoloration for 2+ weeks after and my face swelled up. I reached out to Melissa to receive a refund and provided her with pictures of my face, all this damage can cause permanent scarring because it was performed incorrectly. When I reached out to her she utilized her personal life as an excuse to leaving me on read. She then told me she wasn't going to continue with this and said I will be hearing from her attorney. An attorney fee would be way more than the actual refund and any attorney would guide her to refund a customer to avoid a malpractice lawsuit. It's scary to think her saying "you will be hearing from my attorney" because that insinuates she might have a lawyer on retainer as this might be a continuous problem in her practice. My experience was beyond unprofessional. She also said she called me and screenshotted the call, and it was marked as "call canceled" and it was the incorrect number. Also, while laying there she heard the door open for her next client and goes "oh my next client is a fucking bitch." It's disheartening this is how a nurse speaks about her clients. She seemed to be backed up that day as she had to message me earlier in the day to push back my appointment and then rushed mine. Not once did she apologize for the pain she put me in, my face swelled up for a week or so this procedure. After providing her my photos and requesting a return again she had continued to leave me on seen. After reading through these reviews on her lack of professionalism and it seems lack of knowledge on how to properly carry out procedures, I sincerely regret not doing my own due diligence on providers. read more
