One of my top molars had a filling in it and I cracked it on a tortilla chip. No big deal I thought. A couple of weeks later the filling falls out, but it doesn't hurt and is only annoying, and I'm broke, so carry on. Well, well..a another week or two go by and all of a sudden it just starts killing me. It hurt so much it was incredible. I've had tattoos, broken bones, but this was a special kind of pain. It was Sunday night so I went to the ER of all things just to try to get through the night. The next morning I called Dr. Ahed's office and they said I could come in the same day! Hooray! So I went and he was very professional and nice, genuinely. It's just him and his wife there and you're in good hands with both of them. I ended up having an exposed nerve and infection. All in all I was there for 3 visits and every one was great. My first visit I was there for almost 2 hours and never felt any pain. As a matter of fact, as soon as I got there he gave me some novacaine so we could even talk about what was going on. Then he took care of the nerves and things and sent me home with meds. I came back a few days later and got the nerves filled and fitted for a crown. Then two weeks later, today, I got my crown and was in and out of there. Oh, and the FIRST DAY I WENT WAS THE ONLY DAY I NEEDED PAIN MEDICATION after he worked on me. That night, I took 2 ibuprofen before bed. The three days before that I had been taking 3 ibuprofen and 2 tylenol with codeine as often as I could without hurting myself and sipping ice water non-stop to deal with the pain. Got a root canal and it was done. Done. The guy is amazing. And a perfectionist. The good kind. When I got my crown today he checked it umpteen times and made sure I was happy happy. So here I am telling you how great he is and that you should go. Definitely go. If you have emergency pain, go to this dentist. Bottom line. Don't keep looking. Don't wonder if there's someone better, closer. Call and go and feel better now. Just calling will make you feel better. They are also very up front about pricing and options for care. Oh, and their appointments are on time. You're not sitting there waiting for an hour while other people go in. When they say be there, they mean in the chair. He's not out to swindle you. He wants you to have nice teeth and take care of them so your teeth and his good work will last. Thanks Doc!!

Then Staff left me at machine with my mouth attached to machine ( no doors every one can see you) to room another patient. Staff kept old gloves on after touching everything and rooming other pt. He insisted that I needed a root canal on that tooth. Even though he poked around my mouth and I haven't been having any pain he refused to replace my cap. I was there several years ago, at that time he told me I needed to get a root canal on that same tooth or to have the tooth pulled. I made an appointment to get the tooth pulled. At that time the female Dentist asked me why I was having it pulled. I explained to her Dentist told me I had no choice. She told me she could save it and she did. It's been at least six years and I've had no pain. The only problem I have with it at this point is that the crown came loose. But he wasn't happy that the other dentist was able to save my tooth. He wants me to have the root canal at any cost . He also refused to fill the cavity that was next to it until I had this root canal completed, and he saidwould refer a surgeon to me. I expressed to him that I didn't have the money at this time. I asked him again politely to just glue in the crown so I can but a little time until I could save the money for a root canal and which he told me we'd be around $1500 or to have the tooth pulled but that would cost about $3500 because then I would have to have a bridge made fill in the gap of the missing tooth. Again, I explained to him that I live on disability, and I didn't have the money for this at the time and I would have to save up for it unless the surgeon would take payments. Again, he refused cement in the cap or fill the cavity. Then he refused to give me the referral for the surgeon because I didn't have the money he then told me since you can't afford it anyway he would not give me a referral for the surgeons. He cared very little about the health of my teeth. His only concern was this root canal. I'm betting he gets a kickback for all of his referrals otherwise he might have been more accommodating. He's a cranky old man who cares little about his patients and more about the money. He's knows my insurance won't cover it and was unwilling to help me buy a little time to save money for a procedure that I honestly don't believe I need done immediately or at all, There is no pain coming from the tooth or any other immediate need to have the procedure done. All I needed was a Little time to save for the procedure and he absolutely refused to help he wants me to have future damage to the toothache and be in pain just to prove his point!!!I won't ever go back to him or recommend any else to go to him.

As he was clearly frustrated with his inability to pull it. Later, I had a dentist proclaim I had 14 cavities when I did not. (Still haven't had one) With that, I was beyond apprehensive going in for a visit suggested by and booked by my significant other. The staff was beyond welcoming. The hygienist that took care of me knew of my past issues and was amazing. Even Dr K went above and beyond taking time to sit down and show that I did not in fact have any cavities after my appointment. I'll be going back for the foreseeable future. My one complaint: I may be 40 but I didn't leave with a toy.

Many were more worried about their payment than my teeth. Not Dr. Tisoncik! He is the best. I had a loose tooth that other dentist wanted to let fall out. He was able to attach the tooth to the teeth on either side and enabled me to improve my dental regime and save that tooth. Now I go for twice a year cleanings and check ups with no fear. If you have had a bad experience i strongly urge you to give Dr. Tisoncik a try. You will not be disappointed.

Underwent a routine deep cleaning less than a month ago at Orland Square Dental and hygienist broke…read moreinstrument tip off deep in my gums. OSD could not retrieve fragment even after multiple attempts by both hygienist and Dr. Doebler. OSD referred me to periodontist friend who also tried repeatedly but could not remove fragment without removing # 15 molar which fragment is lodged under, causing further dental complications for me. Through communication from periodontist's office, OSD is offering to pay for the removal of the molar tooth but not complications resulting from the removal which is only necessitated by OSD's failures. I now need to file lawsuit and a complaint against licensed dentist(s) w IL Dept of Professional Regulation in an effort to rectify the situation brought on only by actions or inactions of Orland Square Dental. I personally cannot not recommend this organization. I have given OSD multiple opportunities to do the right thing but have been left disappointed. I have spent hours in pain and the dental chair in an effort to retrieve an instrument fragment that OSD broke in my tooth. I had no part in causing this nightmare. I am sure I would not be in this situation but for Orland Square Dental's failures.
