The owner is absolutely incredible. She is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely, and it's always such a pleasure talking with her. You can really tell how much she cares about her clients and her business. The salon itself is adorable, clean, and inviting, and I love the little touches that make you feel so welcomed. They even offer coffee and water, and on weekends they have bagels! I can confidently say I have finally found my go-to salon, and I will absolutely be a loyal customer. They offer all kinds of services, and they even have an extension specialist! If you're looking for a salon where you'll feel welcomed, taken care of, and leave loving your hair, I highly, highly recommend Mane & Locks. You won't be disappointed!

Initially we tried this place because of the services offered. My son had an appointment for a spa…read moreshave. He went in the back and had a good experience. The second time we went back, for the same scheduled spa shave, he received a quick electric shave. He never had that before and imagine his shock, surprise, and sting his face experienced when the man slapped aftershave on him. We explained to the woman in the front that was not the service we booked. My son wasn't comfortable enough to tell the man because he could understand the older gentleman and didn't want to be disrespectful. The point we tried to make with the woman is the service booked wasn't provided. She kept saying that we paid less anyway and would give our money back. We didn't want our money back or to argue but wanted them to be more considerate when providing a service. They should look at the service that the client booked. She was sharp and curt and it was pointless to continue. We received a review from the business that my mom had completed for me. Simple, nothing rude but not recommending the business because they don't carefully make sure a client gets the service they book. WELL don't send for feedback if you can't control your feelings when you don't like the feedback! NOPE!! We would not recommend this business to ANYONE and there are far too many of men's salons to enjoy without the attitude! Attached is the review sent from the salon and the impulsive response and if the owner reads this, it's not about the money, it's about how someone makes you feel.

Confused (since I have an appointment for 12:45 and it's 12:39), I tried to call John three times and he did not answer. Amidst my calls, I receive an automated email that my 12:45 appointment has been cancelled. This is extremely poor client management. What's particularly absurd is that this would have been my first time getting a haircut here. I guess the business is doing so well they don't need to convert new customers to regulars. I'll be sure to spread the word to my entire network. This is a good reminder to not trust a retail shop whose last review is over 1 year old.

Final nice thing: the parking at his new place is 800% better -super-easy as opposed to the frequent pain in the ass of parking in Old Greenwich's small 'downtown.'
