It's extremely hard to find someone good to cut your hair the way you like it and also enjoy the ambience of the shop itself. Great new place in the heart of LV. The decor and vibe is terrific on its own and you can tell the owner put a lot of thought an consideration into the details. But even better is the attention he puts into providing a quality haircut. Having longer length hair, I like a more traditional scissor cut/style and get nervous that some of the newer places are strictly about the fades and more "modern" cuts, but he took the time to listen and explain his approach which resulted in one of the best haircuts I've had. Pricey but worth it. They even give you a complimentary beer or drink. The aesthetic of the place is awesome and has a good vibe to it. Music is also good. Again, very pricey, but for sure worth it and they have more of a reason to take time on your cut. read more

I randomly met Ellan at his location in Glen Cove as I was running errands one day and I gave him a try; I never looked back. His new location here in Locust Valley is one of the nicest shops I've ever seen. From the antique decor to the pleasing (and clean) music, I never get bored looking around.
