Showed both clinics the x-ray and they said they don't know where they got cancer from or an infection. Had the third opinion do more x-rays just to verify and I am so thankful I called them back and told them not to proceed with the amputation that I was driving to Arkansas to get her. They made it seem so life-threatening that if I didn't cut my dogs leg off right then and there she was going to die, and the cancer was gonna spread.

They were prescribed medications, including antibiotics, but unfortunately, my dogs did not get any better. What concerns and frustrates me the most is what happened afterward. I called the clinic 3-4 times asking to speak with Dr. Meyers because my dogs were still not improving and I was worried about their condition. Despite repeatedly reaching out, I never received a single return phone call from the doctor. As a pet owner, when your animals are sick and not responding to treatment, it is incredibly stressful and frightening. My dogs are my babies, and I trusted this clinic with their health. At the very least, I expected someone to follow up with me, listen to my concerns, and advise me on what I should do next. Unfortunately, this is also not the first time I have taken my dogs to this clinic and felt that their issues were never completely resolved. Veterinary care is expensive, and families work hard for the money they spend caring for their animals. It is extremely frustrating to pay for appointments and medications and then feel like you are left on your own when the treatment isn't working. I understand that veterinary clinics are busy, but multiple calls regarding animals who are not improving should not go unanswered. Communication and follow-up are an important part of caring for an animal, especially when a concerned owner is repeatedly asking for help. At this point, I am seriously questioning whether I will ever return to St. Francis. More importantly, I am still extremely concerned about my dogs and disappointed that after repeatedly asking for help, I never heard back from Dr. Meyers. I truly hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and improves how it follows up with concerned pet owners.
