On Monday, I called to make an appointment for my daughter's permanent retainer which had broken off. After making the appointment, I received a call back informing me that if the retainer could not be repaired, there was replacement cost of $355 (which is a ridiculous charge given it is a tiny piece wire holding top front two teeth together and glue). Anyway, at the appointment, the tech informed me that the retainer could be fixed at a cost of $185. I was never informed that there would be a cost for repair. The original permanent retainer was installed in September 2024. It barely lasted a year and yet we were charged for repair. The tech also informed us that they rarely install the permanent retainers as they often break. Really? So basically a device is recommended (and was part of the original brace package) but is not guaranteed. Very disappointing experience and definitely has me questioning any future business with this practice that historically has done such great work.

I was due for a cleaning followed by a crown appointment. I was in for a consultation about a month ago which they did not even complete because they told me the hygienist was too busy. So I had X-rays, saw the Dr. and scheduled a cleaning and one crown for a chipped tooth. When I arrived, two workers at the front desk were talking to each other about how they were not even sure what sort of care I should be receiving for my cleaning. That there was nothing in the notes. They were talking openly about it - and I could hear everything - including using my name. They weren't even sure what they were going to do. A third worker approaches and begins talking about blood pressure and that they will take it three times, etc. Again, all within my ear shot and but never speaking directly to me about any of it. Having severe white coat syndrome (which I alerted them to at my consultation), I typically have issues with high BP until the cleaning gets underway. I warned them it would be high and that I monitor at home and with my Primary Dr. They continued to leave me alone in the room coming back only to repeat my BP (which continued to rise and rise with the anxiety) until they told me they would not treat me for anything. Not even the cleaning. My BP was high - I told them it would be elevated and that I monitor at home and with my Dr. When I returned home, it was within a normal range within 15 minutes. It felt off right from the start with them discussing my lack of a plan for care in front of me from behind the desk.

I would not recommend a friends and family as that was the question on the survey. Last two visits I left feeling as if my teeth were unclean. The first visit I understand the covid restrictions were in place. The second time I called first to verify that there would be no restrictions on my cleaning or I would have just changed the appointment. I was assured there were none and that there was a new "young" hygienist ready to complete my service. I have to say my hackles raised a little at the Young comment as I would have preferred an older Tech to begin with if we're going to allow for choice as experience far exceeds youth. Especially in this case.... Dental hygienist could not, in my opinion, handle my sensitivity (no issue with the previous dental hygienist), and did not really attempt cleaning above my gum line where I have most of my issues, however did make product suggestions before I left. Their admin assist is excellent she listens she's funny and she does not BS around. I take issue with the dentist as I'm not sure if she's a little sensitive but any questions posed to her I received "tech support face" as if I should not be questioning her even though her hand is in my mouth and I'm paying for a service at her practice.

The staff is incredibly pleasant and they remember you like family. He was very personable and nice. Afterwards another staff member explained pricing and financing options. There was absolutely no pressure to sign up at that very instant, and that's what I think I love the most. They understand it is a big commitment, and sometimes families need to weight options. We went ahead and signed up that day, signed some papers and went on our way. They said it would take about 8 weeks to get his first treatment round in, but it only ended up taking about 4-5. He went in once everything was in and they fit him in his first set (along with some other stuff placed on. We are now being monitored ever week remotely and it is working out great. The front desk people have always been great, but sometimes you have to leave a message and just wait. Some of the hygienists and staff have been there the whole time and I love working with those people. My car wouldn't start this winter on one of those really cold days so I missed my cleaning appointment. Now I'm not able to make appointments ahead of time, so I haven't been able to get my teeth cleaned.
