The office was easily accessible from a main freeway and parking was right in front of the office. The office was clean and welcoming. Dr. Ali used clear communication in explaining things I needed to understand. This was much appreciated. He made me comfortable with the not so pleasant scope process too. I have not seen another doctor other than Dr. Schaffer and Dr. Ali in 35 years nor would I care to see another doctor. When I first came to Texas I sought out an ENT because I already had a mastoidectomy in one ear. The first doctor I went to told me I just needed to clean out my ear with alcohol. After I picked my mouth off the floor I begin to find a real ENT doctor. My search led me to Dr Schaffer and I have been completely satisfied with both doctors in my 35 years. No call back. I called once again about the referral left message. No call back. Called again different number this time. Got a hold of someone who said they had the referral but no info on what referral was about. Made appointment for almost three weeks in the future. Woman said if any problems she would give me a call. Day before appointment someone call says I have a appointment but they don't know what it's for. I explained the situation to her about the referral. She said I need to get lab work done that day for my appointment. I said no it's already been done. She gave me a number of their referral person to call to figure out the problem with the referral . I said no I'm the patient you call it's your job. Day of appointment 9:30 am. Walk up to the window lady says they are not receiving patients yet (it's 9:20) have a seat. Four people sitting already waiting. The person sitting next to me gives a look of frustration so I ask what time is his appointment and with which doctor. His appointment 9:00 same doctor I find out the other patients are also for same doctor. I ask the receptionist what's going on? She informed me the Doctor was running behind. She also informed me that he is pretty quick so the wait won't be that long. We informed her of all the issues I've had making this appointment and it isn't a good thing that a doctor is quick. At that point I left the office shaking my head. As I left I said good luck to the patient I talked to earlier. Other patient walked up to the window got his paperwork canceled his appointment a walked out right behind me. Overall to me this office is unprofessional and they really don't care about the patient . This whole experience from making the appointment to appointment day was horrendous. Stay away. There are other places you can go.

With the ortho follow up a full week later, it would be 3 weeks until I could learn if I needed surgery. All the while burning sick leave and vacation at work. So I called scheduling and tried to find an earlier date. The scheduler said they had a spot in Ft Worth today at 2:15. It was now 9:30 am, that office is at least a 2 hour drive, I said heck yeah sign me up! The scheduler said they would send me a text with the address and confirmation. I left just before noon....not wanting to be late and waste their time. BUT, i had not received the text. So I called the number while I was on my way 817-289-2002. Spoke to another very nice person. I let her know I had not received the confirmation text like they said I would, so I wanted to call and confirm the appointment and location....after all it was a 2 hour drive...... The scheduler was perplexed why I did not get the text but... joyously confirmed my appointment was good to go! She also let me know my part to pay was also $222. I said ok and kept driving. I arrived at 2:00 for the 2:15 appointment. Again, not wanting to waste anyone's time. I go into the office and let the clerk know Im there for my 2:15 appointment. I could tell she wasn't finding anything, so I added, its really at 2:30 but I came in early for the paperwork. The clerk said 'sir your appointment isn't for today because we have nobody here who can do it .' You had an appointment for the 27th and then the 21st, but it is not today. They know we don't have anyone here on Fridays to do the GAD.... She then says 'Are you sure you called the right place?' I showed her the number I called, and she looked perplexed....and said well thats our scheduling number.. I call the scheduler while Im standing there at the window. She once again confirms my appointment is for today..... but needs to check on things and puts me on hold. The phone rings right inside the window to the girls I was talking to...... Lots of Umhmmm, Umhmm....Uhmmm. Then girl number 2 says Did you call our scheduler.....I said yes Im on hold with here now......She then says OH she just called and asked us to reschedule you....... Can you come back monday????? What in the shit show is going on at this place? Talk about amateur hour. Nevermind I will have been driving 4-5 hours (Friday afternoon traffic leaving ft worth yay) I'm going elsewhere.......You guys can have it.
