Remember to note the following items when getting a quote: - number of steps or flight of stairs, including over the threshold of the door. - any hard angles out of room into another room, for example, the room the piano is in leads into a narrow hallway and the door it needs to go thru is a 90 degree angle to the door it is coming out of (if you are in the room with the piano looking out , the door it needs to get thru is to your immediate right). This sort of angle requires flipping the piano to make it through without any issues which could cost more. - rough distances if for some reason you live far away from where the initial door might be with any steps/stairs along the way (apt/condo situation). - Type of piano If for some reason we need to move a piano again, definitely going with George! They also carry damage insurance which is very important when you move a good piano. They arrived on time and did an unbelivably hard job of getting the piano through a very narrow pathway to the destination room. They were upfront about whether or not there might be extra charges based on the environment the piano is being moved out of, and to. Since mine was fairly easy there were no extra charges. Like, on their website you can see them taking a piano from a second story off a balcony... Mine was nothing like that. Through the front door and through another. And not very far apart. They were really responsive to my messages and questions. I asked them to tell me why their company was better than others and I got a really long response, very professional, about their experience, their ethics, and their standards.
