That along with the heat going off the day after they did the maintenance, and then telling me they'd have to schedule me five days later was just too much. Called a different company this year .. Pacific Air Comfort. First off, the unit in the attic had a switched taped shut. A drain that should have been in the overflow pan, never even mentioned. Then when the cover was taken off, it had never been cleaned, caked with dirt, cobwebs, wasp nest. A drain on the bottom, totally clogged.

This is why I waited 3-4 years before calling a pro to take a look at my mini split that has been leaking refrigerant. My handyman has tried & failed to find the issue for years. I would've been so much better off if I had called Alpha sooner. If I would've called them the first time I had an issue I would've saved hundreds of dollars. Jason, from Alpha came out today & looked at my ductless heat pump. He brought out his handy (& expensive) leak detector and quickly zeroed in on the leak, which was around the outside connection point. He just needed to tighten it and add more refrigerant. The leak detector verified the issue was remedied. He also took a quick look inside my other heat pump before leaving, to make sure that a common grounding defect of that make was fixed, it was. It's so rare & so refreshing to have a real pro that knows his trade so well. I will certainly call Alpha Heating the next time I have an issue!

I called Caveman in the morning, they went to Medford and picked up an entirely new unit, took out the part I needed, and had it installed the same day so I would not have to wait for the individual part to be ordered. I could not be happier with the great customer service I received. In this case, I don't think a small business owner would have been able to afford to buy an entire unit to use one part. They are not just ductless. They work on all kinds of HVAC…read more I had the heat go out Sunday afternoon. Not good. Called two contractor friends. Both said Just Ductless was the only service they deal with period. Called Sunday late afternoon and was told they would back to me in the morning. ( my emergency heat feature was working). Next morning , 8:00am comes a knock at the door and it the guys from Ductless. Not just the guys, the owner himself. They went to the unit, ran some tests and said my thermostat was sending a bad signal to the unit and asking for AC not heat. Shish. Older unit , they sad the rest of the unit checked out 100% AND the just happened to have a replacement thermostat on the truck. Back in business! This IS good service folks, better even and I thank them for their expertise and timeliness. If something happens again guess who I am calling!? Thank you !
