I had my wedding at the Georgetown Ballroom in May. Apart from the fact that all of our guests said it was a great venue (which it is) and the fact that we could incorporate the ambiance of the space itself into our wedding, the staff at the Georgetown Ballroom is amazing. Justice was so easy to work with and the day of the wedding everything went very smoothly. We couldn't have picked a better venue to have our wedding. Trust me, if you want to rent a great space where you can awe not only your guests but yourself when you see everything come together, this is the place. read more

My fiance and I went to look at GTB before any other venues, and after seeing the others, there was no question--we had to do it at the ballroom. Not only is it a perfect space for an evening wedding--especially when the weather is good and you can use the courtyard--but the owner, Jerry, and event manager, Justice, are fantastic to work with. We had two mobile street food vendors - Rolling Fire Pizza and Anita's Crepes - and the courtyard was a great place for them to set up and serve food. People waiting in line for the fresh food enjoyed the atmosphere, the lights strung overhead, the fact that the line ran right past the bar:), and that it served as an informal receiving line for us to say hello to everyone. The acoustics were pretty good inthe ballroom during the ceremony, and we were able to fit over 180 people facing the doorway between the rooms--cozy, but comfortable. All in all, I don't think the wedding could have gone much better - there were a few little glitches here and there as could be expected - but the space was beautiful, people had fun, and we drove away happy (in the back of a convertible '65 mustang that we were allowed to pull into the courtyard for the sendoff!) I definitely recommend the GTB for any wedding, corporate party, or event where you want a space with character, ambiance and good management. read more

WORTH THE MONEY! We just got married at Georgetown Ballroom in early May and the venue was the best decision we made! It was hot and the back patio was great for our guests to sit outside during cocktail hour and throughout the reception. Also nice that had it rained, there would have been plenty of room for our 160+ guests to be comfortable inside. The venue is pricey and rentals such as chairs and tables aren't included, but it's totally worth it just for the fact that you don't have to add any decorations. The venue is stunning as is and all of our guests were commenting on the neat look of the place. We didn't bother renting additional uplighting or anything and the space totally didn't need it. We had the piano tuned, so if anyone has events coming up it's good to go. We used Pyramid Catering (HIGHLY recommend) but aren't sure if now the venue is solely their new in house Willows catering. Justice and Denise were helpful with our (many) questions and requests. Day of staff seemed to be great (we had a coordinator so weren't really paying attention). If you're worried about seating for large guest counts, we highly recommend mixing standard reception style seating with cocktail style. We had our family and older guests at reserved seats in the dining rooms and friends use the cafe tables (included in rental) and high-top tables (rented separately) and it worked really well. In short, LOVED the venue, even despite the hefty price tag. read more

I came to the Georgetown Ballroom as a photobooth vendor recently for a fundraiser. The experience I had working with Justus and the GB staff was one of the best. I will recommend this venue highly for weddings and events. The space is VERY clean and the vintage signs, lanterns, courtyard, and overall ambiance will make any event memorable. And its right next to one of my favorite bakeries, Two Tarts! Can't wait to come back down!! read more

I attended an event at the Georgetown ballroom recently and had a BLAST. The space is fantastic, with a feel that is hard to match in Seattle. The space itself gets 4.5 stars! If only the food that was put out even came close to the space it would have been a perfect event. From dishes that came out cold, to the odd texture of others, to a dessert that fell flat, I found myself hanging out at the bar to avoid the temptation (and following disappointment) of eating. I guess my real problem was that it LOOKED amazing but fell so short of the mark that you really want Georgetown to just stick to being an awesome event space. I would definitely go to another party at the space but I will stop by a burger joint on my way there. read more

Georgetown now REQUIRES customers to use Willows Catering. We attended the tasting and were very disappointed. Rubber chicken, vegetables were undercooked, mushroom crepes were mushy, bread was tasteless. No Food Trucks allowed. Be very cautious before signing a contract. Customer service is poor -- they have to be hounded to answer questions. The venue, however, is amazing if you can get past the food. read more

Attend a good friend's wedding at The Georgetown Ballroom in August 2015 and was greatly impressed by the venue. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the venue as it provided the perfect balance of intimacy and informality that made their wedding special, unique and one of a kind. If I was living in Seattle, I would definitely select The Georgetown Ballroom for a party or wedding, and recommend that you do the same. read more

The Georgetown Ballroom is a true top-tier venue. Our company holiday party was held there last month. We worked directly with Danielle and she was professional, upfront, accommodating and down-to-earth. She set the stage from the beginning with these qualities, for our beautiful, yet unpretentious party that entertained a total of 100 people. The entire Georgetown Ballroom staff was attentive and warm and fit right in with the flow of the evening. The food was superb. We began with passed appetizers during the cocktail hour and then sat down for a delicious meal with a dessert bar to follow. I would highly recommend The Georgetown Ballroom to everyone. For once in 5 years of yearly event planning for our company, I found a venue and a Director of Operations that understands our needs and communicates clearly and precisely; hard qualities to find. Shared a 50th birthday party with a friend here and have been to subsequent Moisture Festival venues and fund raisers. We always are met with friendly staff and enjoy fabulous food. This is a great venue with a two large rooms and sweet outdoor courtyard. The food and service were excellent; apps and dinner were all elegant, delicious, fresh, which is not always the case with catered events. Truly exceptional catered food. When we began looking into caterers for our November wedding at the Georgetown Ballroom there were a few top prospects, but after attending the spring tasting for The Willows we were convinced this was the best company to go through. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and the staff friendly and professional, but the menu had an endless amount of options and they were even willing to add a favorite dish if we wanted! The goal of our wedding day was to throw the best party we could. This included a cocktail hour of drinks and appetizers, a buffet dinner, and a late night snack to be served. The Willows blew us away with every single one of these. We could not be more pleased with how our evening unfolded, the food was absolutely perfect and we are still receiving comments from guests about how much they enjoyed all of the food served. The catering was amazing. Our wedding in September was their first event as a caterer as well as a venue. They rocked it! the cake was as tasty as it was beautiful, and all of our guests had nothing but good things to say about the food. The service staff were wonderful as well. I have hosted our non-profit community event at the Georgetown Ballroom for 3 years now, and I can't imagine having it anywhere else. The first word that comes to mind when hosting at the Georgetown Ballroom is EASY. The space naturally sets the mood for our occasion with its stunning decor and lighting, and the staff are always welcoming and willing to help in any way. The venue offers complimentary planning coordination, and they are always one step ahead to make sure every detail is covered. The event managers quietly keep everything on track behind the scenes, and the event staff is gracious, polished and professional. Everything is included: tables, chairs, table clothes, candles, and even setup and breakdown of your floor plan. Loading in and out is a breeze with multiple entrances, ramps, and carts available. There is so much to do and think about when planning a community event. It's such a relief to know that once you arrive at the Georgetown Ballroom, the hard work is over. We fell in love with the Georgetown Ballroom the minute we walked in. We decided to have our wedding there just last week. I could not recommend them more!! Jerry is one the coolest guys -- we had an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding and he jumped on board with the theme and came up with so many ideas for us and even helped us build a "Through the Looking Glass" frame for our big reveal. Danielle helped us through the whole planning process, even the day-of festivities. She made sure everything ran smoothly, and everyone was happy. I keep getting calls from family and friends about how amazing our wedding turned out. The food was out of this world. The bartenders were awesome. The entire staff was so kind, accommodating, and kept us all on track. Danielle was always available to answer any questions we had, helped us set up on the big day, just went above and beyond for us. Our wedding day would not have turned out so special, so amazing, had it not been for everyone at the Georgetown Ballroom. Could not have had a better wedding day! Truly! read more

I was married here July 4th and highly recommend the venue for fall, spring, or winter weddings. The venue is gorgeous and unique and from the pictures, you can see that it doesn't need much added decor. The interior, patio, front entrance and surrounding buildings make for beautiful photos. We loved that there were private areas for both the bride and groom to hang out with our respective bridesmaids and groomsmen before the big ceremony. Because we live in Chicago, we didn't do a food tasting and just took a leap of faith that it would work out. The food was delicious! Many of our guests also made the same comment to us. Conni, the director, also allowed us to pay the total cost on a monthly basis and allowed us to provide our own dessert to save money. Because of our location, we had to plan a good amount remotely--the only area where this was problematic, was when communicating with the Georgetown director Conni or the coordinator, Lauren. At times it would take 2 weeks for them to respond to an email or they wouldn't respond at all. Apparently during our planning period, they had just hired 2 coordinators to help, but the added staff didn't seem to speed up their responsiveness. We were married on a historically hot day for Seattle, the week leading up was also extremely hot. We know many businesses do not have AC because it's typically more mild. However, at our rehearsal the day before, the coordinator assured us they would have plenty of fans put out and that it would be fine. It was not! The few box fans and dinky fans that were put out were no where near sufficient to cool an old building down that's filled with 100 bodies. Us along with our guests were soaked in sweat and several guests had to leave due to the temperature. Though the patio was cooler, we had not planned to have our reception outdoors and we didn't consider making this change because we were assurred they would have proper ventilation. Conni has told me they plan on putting in more fans and air conditoning in the bridal suite--that's all good and well but doesn't do anything for us. They should have taken these measure before our wedding, offered free bottled water, and/or offered some type of discount. The lack of air ventilation made the venue nearly unusable and defintely affected the enjoyment of our guests. read more

There was clear communication and quick responses to questions throughout the process. The day of our wedding was amazing. Georgetown did a great job communicating with our stage managers and all of our vendors. The food was fantastic and our guests (which included a large number of stage managers and live event professionals) were very impressed with the venue. Perfect venue to hold a birthday party. I think we had about 130 people for dinner and dancing and everything went off without a hitch. I had to do NOTHING which was perfect. I opted to provide my own flowers for the table and I selected my DJ but I think that's about all I did. The food was fantastic and the wait staff and head personnel made the party seamless. I also loved that the 'dining room' was closed off until dinner, making people wonder what was behind the big doors :) read more

Finally!! Seattle has a unique, edgy and beautiful event space! And they let you make your event completely yours. I've been to a couple of events here, including a wedding, a fundraiser and a holiday party. This place is absolutely stellar! They don't have preferred vendors, so the bride was able to choose her own caterer--that means awesome mobile food trucks or just really great food from really great caterers. The owner and venue manager were so kind and professional. They so wanted to make her event special and unique. And the staff were always helpful and professional. The courtyard outside is just gorgeous. They had a room each for the bride and the groom. Seattle doesn't have anything else like it! read more

The Georgetown Ballroom......I don't think there are enough accolades to describe the venue, service, staff, food and owner. My daughter was married there on Mother's Day, and nearly every guest complimented the wedding, not only because it was a fun time, but commented that it was even more enhanced by the unique setting of the Ballroom. Everyone associated with the Georgetown Ballroom treated us as though we were their only clients with their attention to detail and assuring us that everything would go smoothly.....this gave us a feeling of much needed calm and made us feel extremely special. The wedding was, indeed, flawless due to the personality and professionalism shown by the staff and owner. I highly recommend to anyone seeking a venue for any occasion to talk to the Georgetown. I have been to two events where The Willows catered parties at the Georgetown Ballroom. The food has been excellent both times. The first thing I look at is presentation. The chef is experienced with eye appeal-his garnishes are beautiful, and the food is perfectly spiced and served at the appropriate temperature. I work in the food service industry and am picky. I would rather eat out less, but get a meal that someone has carefully crafted and served in a professional manner. Both times, The Willows catering provided a dining experience, not just another plated dinner. The last meal featured an entree of beef short ribs, wasabi mashed potatoes and green beans with mushrooms. Nothing was ordinary and the degree of flavor profiles was well balanced-what I have found at each course served. read more

We had a wonderful experience getting married at the Georgetown Ballroom!! The layout and decor of the venue is amazing. The atmosphere is really unique and fun. Conni was very responsive, easy to work with, and on top of things throughout the whole process. The night of our wedding, staff were very helpful and polite to us and our guests. The bar service was great. The one cautionary note I have is about the food. We served plated meals to our wedding guests and it wasn't as good as during the open house nor our tasting. That being said, I understand they just hired a new chief. Overall, I would highly recommend the Georgetown Ballroom. Our wedding was truly everything we hoped it would be! read more

I went to a holiday party here last December and this place is just phenomenal. It had such a good feel and all the decorations are really amazing. Parking was surprisingly easy for Georgetown and the staff were extremely helpful! I hope I can find a good excuse to have an event there in the future or maybe I'll just keep telling all my friends to get married so I can visit again. read more
