We can't say enough about this practice w/ their immediate, proactive, and aggressive approach to cancer treatment cannot be overstated. We love them forever and if God Forbid, cancer should return to our family, though we have relocated to Savannah; there is only one place we will go to eradicate it. Northwest Georgia Oncology and only, Dr Nandy! Side note: there is another doctor in the practice named Doctor forehand who was absolutely awful and I would go so far as to say incompetent. So if you go to the practice, make sure that you insist on Dr. Nandy folks. PLEASE do not let your loved ones be touched by Doctor forehand. My husband would not be alive, were it not for us ignoring Doctor forehand and his malpractice worthy advice for us to do nothing... and come back in five years! We instead, followed our guts remained steadfast in our proactive approach to his medical care. Days later we found Dr. Nandy and my husband had stage 3 Adenocarcinoma esophageal cancer with lymph node involvement. No joke. Forehand should lose his license and Dr Nandy should take over the whole practice. IMHO. Dr Nandy and his entire staff literally saved his life.

Dr. Subbannan was recommended to me as a person who had superior clinical skills in endocrinology as well as hematology and oncology. I kept on going back and forth to see my archaeologist; he kept on giving me the same pills that didn't do anything and things were getting worse. The last time I went to see him he prescribed me something new and when my friend came to visit me, she saw the prescription on the table, so she said to me, "are you taking this? It'll put you to sleep, and you will never wake up." She asked me, "do you want a second opinion?" She set me up to an appointment with Dr. K Subbannan at Northside Hospital for me. Now I am almost pain free, and she really gave me peace. I mean I was so sick I thought that was the end, but she's taking good care of me. She's a very experienced Doctor. I highly recommend this nice and friendly Doctor. After God, she is absolutely my angel and my hero. My daughter said herself that she's grateful for her coming into our lives. Yes, you have to give her a try.

**warning long read** worth it…read more Office is clean, calm and welcoming when you thru the door. Greeted by the lovely staff at the front desk who quickly get you checked in. Your wait time isn't long for the process to begin whether it is for the wonderful people from the lab to get you or the Dr's staff. If you having labs done, it is a quick and painless process. Very friendly and thorough, ask you to verify all information. Really sweet people that enjoy their job. If you are waiting for the dr after having labs done, quickly called from the lobby and placed into the room. Vitals are taken by a pleasant and friendly medical technician. Then the dr comes in within a matter of mins. Never having to wait very long. In and out within 30 mins tops. If you need an infusion those gracious wonderful human beings take excellent care also. They will offer you a warm blanket and give you a pillow. Make you as comfort as possible. Since let's face it, you really don't want to be there. However, you and they make it the best it can be. Heck, they even let you bring in food. Now on to my dr. Save the best part for last. Dr. Patel has that rare mix of smarts and heart--decisive but humble, compassionate but clear. He calms chaos and guides without ego. A doctor whose brain is as big as his heart. All and all if you are dealing with any kind of issues this is the BEST facility with the most educated, hospitable employees around. Hope you feel the same way. Take care and bless you! I then had another scan - CT scan or MRI and then I was set up with an appointment with Dr. Minesh Patel at Piedmont Cancer Institute. I took 2 friends with me to my first appointment with Dr. Patel. Dr. Patel explained that the nodules in my lungs were very small these nodules were renal cell carcinoma nodules. In 2005 I had my left kidney removed due to renal cell carcinoma mass in kidney. Dr. Patel was so kind and caring and he gently explained everything about what was going on. I had renal cell carcinoma cells in my body from back in 2005 and it spread all these years later to my lungs. He told me this is a low risk cancer and now they can get rid of it so easy by using Sound Waves treatment - easy breezy! However the nodules have to grow larger first in order to get a needle biopsy first. This was last March 2025 and these nodules are still tiny and only 2 nodules have grown a little bit. He said I would not need chemo at all and when these nodules grow and are larger they will do a needle biopsy and blast it out with Sound Waves. Dr. Patel talked to me and my friends and answered all our questions. I was so calm - after hearing I do have RCC cancer. I go every 4 months or so to see Dr. Patel plus have another CT scan. Everyone at Piedmont Cancer Institute - all so extremely nice and kind. I get blood work done there and I am not good with needles! Yikes! But I'm this office I never even feel a needle go in. They operate in EXCELLENCE there! I have never seen anything like this in my life and I am OLD!! . I look forward to my appointments every 4 months!! I am blessed to get to go to there. And on that 3rd floor at Piedmont I got to see a Dietician/Nutritionist and they told me that was free of charge for anyone seeing an Oncologist there on 3rd floor. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Minesh Patel and I have met many people that he has treated and they all RAVE about him and this office!

I chose the City off Hope because I was looking for a facility -- not a single doctor -- who…read moreoffered a comprehensive, collaborative care environment to treat my breast cancer. Their website touts "treatment plans in 5 days" and "personalized care." I'm now 7 weeks post surgery and never received a treatment plan. Please save yourself the emotional turmoil and don't go here. I connected with City of Hope in late February and should have run at my first sense that something wasn't right. My doctor, Dr. Sharma, seemed to always be waiting on the results of a lab test, so never even made my full diagnosis clear to me. I went along because I was scared, but she was dismissive to questions like, how serious is my cancer and what can I expect. There is no 'patient care coordinator' to help you navigate your treatment. You basically called scheduling for everything. They won't communicate with you through their portal, and you don't know who to call if you have a question or problem. When I asked to see Dr. Sharma when she finally did get labs back in, I was told not to and that they'd see me after surgery. But where it really fell apart was when she came back with clearly inaccurate results of the specimen they removed during surgery. When I asked nicely to have it re-tested, she scoffed at me. When I made a formal request via the portal, her team came back and basically said it was a typo from the lab. I eventually had to demand they re-test it. To that same end, they never ordered the oncotyping post surgery, so I had to wait more than 5 weeks before I could start treatment (whatever that would be). After Dr. Sharma fully eroded my confidence in her, I asked for a new female oncologist on May 9th using COH's formal complaint process -- I honestly didn't know what else to do. And almost exactly 30 days later, I was told they can no longer treat me because they don't have anyone else. I'm attaching the letter. So now I'm approaching 8 weeks post surgery, having had no treatment since April 23rd, and I have to go through the process of finding a doctor who can treat me who is also covered by insurance. I forget - can cancer spread if it's left untreated?

If I could zero starts I would. Dr. Henry Krebs is a name that I will never forget. This man's…read morebedside manner is horrendous. He comes into the room to perform an ultrasound guided biopsy on me as if he worked in the damn drive thru at McDonald's. Before he even touched me I specifically informed him and the ultrasound tech that during my first biopsy I had to be given more lidocaine than usual because not only did I feel pressure which is understandable, I still felt pain. This idiot ( as I'm already nervous and scared because of my first biopsy) proceeds to numb me with the lidocaine, turn around and grab the fu#*!ng scalpel, made the incision in my my skin, grabbed the biopsy needle, squirt some lidocaine in the incision, then proceeds to dig in my damn breast like the idiot that he is. I'm screaming like damn can you at least give the lidocaine time to work and he proceeds to tell me it works instantly as if I'm stupid. He literally injects a tiny bit more lidocaine then again, proceeds like I'm not a damn human being on the table. I'm squirming, screaming and was about to squeeze the techs hand off and you would not believe what this idiot says... he states " I'm going to stop if you can't be still" as he throws his hands in the air. I then told him " your bedside manner f' ing sucks and all you have to f'ing do is let the lidocaine sit for a minute". He then takes his gloves off walking away like the unprofessional a**hole that he is (knowing that my treatment has already been prolonged and that this will further delay my treatment) until my husband stood up and face to face with him and told him " you don't have to be an a**hole to my wife. She's telling your stupid a** that she still feels everything you're doing". I then proceed to tell him that what he was gonna do was finish my biopsy and that he was going to stand there and wait until the lidocaine had time to kick in. After my husband had a few choice words with him and he as well to my husband, the idiot got some act right. I told him that he was not going to delay my treatment any further. He stood there and waited, put his gloves back on and finished the job. I forgot to mention that the first piece of tissue that he pulled off with the biopsy needle felt like someone put their fingers through my breast and ripped off a piece of tissue . By this time the lidocaine had time to settle therefore the lymph node that had to be removed, I didn't feel pain just pressure like it was supposed to be. So not let this inconsiderate jerk near you or anyone you care about. Come to find out he was mad because he had been in meetings all morning and got behind. Idgaf what he had going on. I'm the one laying on the f'ing table with a life changing diagnosis. By the way I used to work at CTCA when it was CTCA. Once it changed to COH it was not the same and not in a good way. You walk in and it's nowhere as warm as it should be. I can't remember the name of the idiot at the front desk but she has a short hair cut but I do remember she was instantly rude when I walked in. I matched her same energy because I refuse to let anyone talk to me in a condescending way. I'm really considering going back to Wellstar where I was treated the way a cancer pt should be treated. I could type many other disappointing encounters with idiots here but it will take forever. Just make sure you research who your doctors are and if something doesn't feel right...... RUN. This ain't the only treatment center in America
