Dr. Petillo is wonderful! She's very knowledgeable and was able to tell me about my spots so quickly. She was concerned about one spot and removed it day of so we could test it. Never again! Kenny made me feel like I didn't know my own face. He belittled me and tried to make me feel stupid. I went for a second opinion and it was a good thing. The "mole" he said I never noticed in the middle of my face was actually cancer. He is so unprofessional and needs some more training on his job. I would not trust him with your care. read more

Went in for a skin cancer screen, had a couple of lesions frozen, and the doctor wrote a prescription for some topical ointment. The visit lasted a total of 20 minutes. I was shocked to see the bill was $675. Beware of healthcare price exploitation and ask for cost up front when booking appointments. read more

Absolutely worst experience!!! I saw Kenny at the Braselton office. I came for several things but after I talked through one Kenny immediately said "you're throwing too much at me". I was floored and said ok and checked out. I was told I would have to come back for another appointment to discuss the rest of my issues. I walked to my car and thought about it more and went back to the office. I asked if someone else could see me because I took off to come to the doctor and I want to be seen by someone that can address all my issues. The office manager came to get me from the waiting room to explain no one was available and they couldn't see me anyways besides what my internal medicine doctor referred me for. It had to do with coding and I would have a huge bill otherwise. I called my mother in law who is a coder for the hospital and said that is not true. People are seen for more than one reason all the time and beyond what they are referred for. I called the office back to cancel my appointment and to speak with a higher up leader or manager. I was rent to the snellville office manager. I left a message and no callout for over a month. I do NOT recommend this doctor's office/practice. I would never go back! We had two visits and the staff does not return calls or emails. Tried repeatedly for 2 months and they just don't care.

Both the doctors and the nurses that I encountered were fantastic, as were the reception staff. However, the practice may want to consider retraining or replacing the checkout/billing staff. On multiple visits to this practice, the (same) woman at checkout was incredibly rude, as well as inept at her job. She's a blemish on an otherwise great practice, especially since she's the last staff member that patients encounter and the final impression that they leave with. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Brown over a week ago where I was prescribed 3 separate medications. After, my pharmacy told me that no prescriptions had been sent over. Since then, I have tried every day to get ahold of someone from Dr. Brown's office to get my prescriptions sent over. I never received a call back. Finally, my pharmacy called to let me know two prescriptions had been sent over. I went and picked them up, paying $60 for both, trusting that they were the correct medications. The names didn't sound familiar so I looked them up. She had sent two completely different prescriptions for ailments I did not have. I have still been unsuccessful in getting my actual medication, and I have still not received a call back. It is the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a doctor. Inexcusable. read more

Gail Wenner is an RN who performs sclerotherapy through Vein Concepts/Georgia, Derm partners, Braselton. I question the credibility of Gail and I just want to help others understand the possibility that they might be able to "dodge a bullet" as the saying goes. Making an appointment with her had been difficult, and I don't feel she was truthful for the reasons why she would cancel my bookings. This is a medical procedure in which one should have the trust that one should receive from someone in the medical field. I had given her the benefit of the doubt. As I read her own story that she wrote about herself on her website. I don't believe that her commitment is as true as she claims. I have exchanges of our text messages for anyone whois hesitant and having any kind of procedure done from Gail. read more

I searched for a dermatologist online that took my insurance. I have had pre-cancerous cells removed in the past, and noticed a new spot of concern. My daughter also has some growths which need to be removed. I booked back to back appointments online on January 29th for Febrary 14th. I was called at 1:40pm on February 13th to inform me that the doctor I scheduled with is out all of February. I blocked my work calendar for these appointments. I was notified last minute. I then received an email that the appointments were confirmed, so I had to call back to be sure I was not going to be charged a no-show fee. If the doctor I was able to schedule with online was off all February, why wasn't I notified sooner? This is a horrible first impression for two new patients. I was unable to get back to back to appointments for February 14th with a different doctor. I would have a three hour wait inbetween 10 minute appointments. This is unacceptable. I have already waited since January 29th to be seen for a spot of concern, and now I need to start all over again. I certainly think this office should run a report of appointments if a doctor is going to be off. A patient should never have to wait weeks to be told at the last minute the doctor is off all month. read more

I was a new patient and scheduled a new patient visit. When I got in the room, the PA asked the reason for my visit. I came in with a few concerns, and said as much, and the PA immediately asked me my top priority and made it clear the doctor would only address one issue today. The doctor spent maybe 2.5 minutes with me. As others have said, they could not get me out of there fast enough. I paid $200 for a doctor to take a 20 second look at my scalp. If they would have been willing to spend more time with me and actually listen, they probably could have gotten a lot more money out of me. I'm interested in a lot of cosmetic services they offer, but they made it clear that they were not at all interested in my health, my concerns, or my business. read more

Pros: excellent staff, easy appointment scheduling, experienced PAs, professional attitudes Cons: CONSTANT, ANNOYING ADS IN THE WAITING AREA. It's a real shame that they do this, and really takes away from an otherwise excellent service. There are non-stop ads playing on the television in the waiting area. You're trapped if you didn't bring headphones. Everything to make you paranoid about your skin, promote cosmetic procedures, and various medications is shown without a break. Easy 5 star review without this. I'll be back in a few months and if this has changed I will upgrade my rating. read more

Scheduled an appointment for today (April 21, 2021). Got a robot call over the weekend and hit wrong button and said it cancelled the appointment. Called first thing Monday morning and let them know what happened and to verify that I WAS going to be there for my appointment. She looked up my info and said that she sees my appointment is still scheduled for 4/21/21. Arrive this morning and appointment was canceled. Explained everything to the receptionist several times but all she could tell me was "you canceled." Waste of time with this place as they made no effort to help me besides wanting to reschedule my first visit. Will find another dermatologist that can respect their patients time. read more

Grew up in FL, so the need for a dermatologist is part of my reality. Front office staff was fine, not really remarkable either way. Time get get an appointment was reasonable. I saw the PA, which probably helped with appointment scheduling. PA was great. Professional, personable explained everything well but didn't talk down to me. She even had had a little sense of humor. Can't speak to the MD as I didn't see him/her but highly recommend seeing the PA if you need an exam or consult. Will be back to see this office in a year. read more

I had a strange reaction to something on my bottom (possibly the dry cleaning solution or poison ivy from a muddy obstacle course). Super itchy!! Saw a PA at the Braselton office who said it was probably contact dermatitis but wanted a biopsy. She proceeded to take a dime sized chunk out of my bottom!! I was given nothing other than a topical cream to treat the SUPER itchy patch. Not at all surprisingly, the rash continued to get worse versus better until I called and begged for an oral steroid. Then, also not surprisingly, the giant gaping hole she had cut got infected. It's been a month now and I still have a huge red spot where she dug into my skin. Pretty sure this is permanent. She took an unnecessary biopsy which has left a scar. Not going Back. read more

Dr. Waqas Shaikh was fantastic, very thorough and patient.

We are changing to a different practice. The laser treatment on my brown spots not only hurt like needles going into my skin but the area never crusted up. My body check consisted of standing naked again a wall and viewed by md from 4 ft away. No light or magnifying lens to go over my skin. I won't be back. Iwant some one to do a thorough check once a year. read more

Dr. Mercer is awesome! I know yesterday was my first visit, but I appreciate that she prescribed exactly what I needed ans not the highest cost option. She says I should see results in 2-3months ans I cant wait. I am a Black woman who has struggled with acne all my life. I didnt even know about chemical peels or laser treatments for black spots. I refuse to hide behind filters... I am ready to shine bright like a diamond. Let me also say Dr. Mercer is a beautiful black dermatologist who looks like she has been drinking out of the fountain of youth. Her skins speaks for itself. There are not many black dermatologist in Atlanta and especially in Snellville where I live so I'm proud to support GPD and the black female owners who make beautiful skin possible for dark skinned sisters like me. What I will tell you is different skin conditions look different on dark skin. I have been the guinea pig for many dermatologist over the years who lacked the experience of working with black patients. Try GDP you wont be disappointed! read more

I made a cosmetic appointment and I was never asked nor informed that I would need a consultation to determine my needs and the cost. On the day of the appointment, I was taken to a room and when the nurse came in and I explained what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend, she left the room and I could her and Dr. Brown talking about me in a negative way in the hall. I opened the door and made them aware I could hear their conversation and I was very uncomfortable. After a lot of apologizes I received treatment and paid a lot more than I was wanting to but felt awkward. Fast forward 6 weeks later, the treatment that should have lasted 3 + months was almost gone! I called the office and the nurse informed me that she spoke with Dr. Brown and i would have to pay additional money although it was almost gone. I informed the nurse that I was not satisfied with that and she was going to speak to the doctor and call me back; she never called back. Side note: I have had this treatment before and it lasted for 6+ months. This office only 6 weeks? I will not recommend nor will I use this practice for my medical needs again! read more

I have difficult to treat eczema on my hands and face. In the past ten years I have seen at least six dermatologists. Finding a dermatologist who is empathic and knowledgeable has been very difficult. After my previous dermatologist told me that "all of my problems could be solved by moisturizing" (this despite constant moisturizing), I finally found Dr. Weiss. When I started seeing Dr. Weiss, I was pregnant and in the middle of a huge flare-up that left my hands cracked, swollen and bleeding (and very painful!). Dr. Weiss and his staff have been very caring and have gone the extra mile to help me through a difficult situation. For example, Dr. Weiss has offerred to consult with my OB & Fetal Specialists to ensure that my child and I both receive the best care possible while he treats my eczema. When I was having a particularly bad episode, Dr. Weiss also called me back personally to discuss my treatment options. And, when I was having trouble getting a prescription refilled, Dr. Weiss, who was on vacation at the time, called in a new prescription for me. I couldn't be happier with the care that I have received! I will continue to trust Dr. Weiss with my care and highly recommend him to others suffering from eczema! read more
