I want to start by saying that this office seems more like a med spa than a dermatology practice. My 11:00 AM appointment turned into over an hour of waiting (40 minutes in the lobby + 40 minutes in the room) with no communication. The only positive was the front desk staff, they were kind, apologetic, and clearly aware this is an ongoing issue. The doctor rushed in without introducing himself, had poor bedside manner, and made the entire visit feel rushed and dismissive. He stood behind my head the entire time, so I could only hear him speaking, I couldn't see his face, and he wasn't engaging with me directly. I came in with multiple concerns, but most were brushed off or pushed to "next time." The biggest issue was the skin tag removal. They charge $150 for 10, and I had about 13 total (4 large, a couple medium, and the rest very small ones). I clearly stated I wanted the larger ones prioritized, yet smaller ones were removed while the larger and medium ones were left behind. When I pointed out a large one at the end, I was told I could come back and pay another $150 to remove the remaining ones. That wouldn't have been an issue if the smallest ones were left, but instead, my main concern was ignored. When I questioned why the larger ones weren't removed, he blamed me for not pointing them out, which is unrealistic while I'm lying back with my head turned and unable to see the back of my neck. I had already clearly communicated my priorities. I would expect more guidance, common sense and basic awareness from a physician. He then said he would remove it "as a courtesy," but that's not a courtesy if I'm already paying for the service I specifically requested. The response felt defensive rather than accountable. I've had skin tags removed before, and it was quick with minimal discomfort. This experience was the opposite.... it was painful, I could literally hear the scissors cutting each one off, and there was significant bleeding requiring bandaging. He also removed a mole from my scalp, which was extremely painful and left a noticeable open wound. Aftercare instructions were minimal and only provided when I asked. I was told it would be sent to a lab, but it has now been a month with no follow-up on any results. I've left multiple messages and have not received a response. Overall, this felt rushed, unprofessional, and more focused on making money than patient care. I would not trust this practice and would not recommend it!! read more

I had to get a spot removed and her MA Ali did an amazing job with the injection I seriously couldn't feel a thing! Peyton's shave biopsy she performed was also perfect and completely painless. I made the mistake of going here unfortunately, I had a physicians assistant Peyton, do a small procedure on me that left me with a huge scar after she specifically stated "I'm in dermatology don't worry I won't leave a huge scar" She was super unprofessional and the office rarely checked up on me after the surgery. Even after telling them that I was having a bad reaction (nausea) to the antibiotic they prescribed and they wouldn't switch it out for a different one nor prescribe me a different one, after telling them I was super worried of catching an infection. I'm still in pain 4 months after surgery and left with a horrid huge scar, thankfully I found a better dermatologist that actually cares! Lastly, majority of their reviews may not be legitimate on yelp and Google. They state if you leave a review you get free samples which gives incentive for people to leave positive reviews. Everyone at Peach Dermatology is caring and attentive from check in to check out. Shawna at the front desk welcomes you with a smile as soon as you walk in. She is efficient with the check in process. Her positive attitude really set the tone for the rest of the visit. The nurses are helpful and actually listen to what you are saying in order to tell the doctor. Yessenia at checkout is patient and very polite. She let me take my time checking my calendar to see when I wanted to schedule a follow up. She had a lasting impression that sealed the deal and confirmed how much I like this office. No one rushes you or makes you feel like you are a bother when asking questions. I really appreciated Dr. Marcelus and her team. She took my concerns seriously and came up with several options for treatment and listened to my feedback on what would fit my lifestyle. She really takes a comprehensive approach when creating a treatment plan and discussed how other aspects of my health can work together to address my skin concerns. I called and made an appointment specifically to have a cyst removed. I was very clear. I even told them that the last dermatologist jerked me around and did everything but remove the cyst I went there to have removed. So what did they do? Everything but what I wanted them to do. They froze a few spots and told me to schedule with them to have the cyst removed. They wasted my time and expected me to pay them for doing it. I can waste my time without anyone's help. HEED MY WARNINGS ON THIS OFFICE! worst office I've ever experienced. We were prescribed Accutane by the doctor who did not explain anything. When we went back for a second visit we were confused and unaware that they didn't do any of the blood work there and did not understand why we were there as the doctor didn't explain it was required by the program on the 1st visit. After an hour of waiting past our appointment time, he finally came in and explained more about the program (because we asked) we started to ask more questions in regards to the medicine and the cost of the program. The doctor started to get more dismissive saying we should trust him and that we asked a lot of questions??? Patients should be allowed to ask any and all questions to help them feel comfortable about a program....He then said "you guys trying to get a job in medical billing?" and "well here's the pamphlet I hope you read this and memorize it because I'm going to test you" like what?? very unprofessional and should have been our red flag to leave. The nurse was nice and tried to help us as much as she could. He gave us wrong information that the nurse tried to correct but he dismissed her and ended up being wrong anyways. When I requested he be more communicative moving forward he was really defensive at first but then agreed. That is when it gets worse! He stated we would get a call when the medication was ready with instructions. Instead we got no phone call and had to call them. We couldn't even do the questionnaire required by the program because they didn't give us the account # to be able to create an account with ipledge. When we finally reached them saying we need that information and the pharmacy wouldn't let us pick up the medication (which by the way we had to find out by just going not because they told us they sent the prescription) they then tried to make it our fault by saying we didn't fill out the questionnaire within 7 days from our bloodwork. How could we know that when we were waiting on a call first of all and we didn't have the account # they are required to give us??? The office lady's answer was "well that is the law and you should know." They then tried to get us to pay for another test and only agreed to waive it when we pointed out that it was impossible for us to fill out the information online because they didn't give us the proper information and this was THEIR FAULT. At this point it's not worth the money to go to a doctor who is going to constantly give us headaches and act like we are a nuisance just because we want to be informed. We went in to ask for our medical records so we could go somewhere else that cared and they gave it to us without even asking us why, which tells me this is something they're used to and I'm not surprised. If they don't care about their patient's experience that is on them. As an office you should want to know why someone wants to leave or did not have a good experience. Last note, all the reviews may not be legitimate. On our 2nd visit, they stated if you leave a review you get free samples which gives incentive for people to leave good reviews. Made the appointment several weeks out for my son. We check in they said "oh so sorry we don't take your insurance." I said how much is out of pocket? She said $160-260. I kept the appointment. We saw the doctor for 10 minutes. He gave us a piece of paper with instructions. Sent 2 prescriptions to Kroger. And our bill was $260! I said why so much??? Wish I could give zero stars. Would not recommend. The doctor walked in the room (with 2 other girls who just stood around) and literally did nothing but sit in front of me and look at my face (for like 5 mins). Asked me a few questions. This office is a waste of time and only accommodates a select group of people that don't need to work for a living. They don't do early, late, or weekend appointments. They also close for lunch so getting an appointment that can accommodate working people is impossible. I finally got an appointment only for them to waste my time as I guess it was my fault they were behind. I never got to see the doctor and had to go back to work because I cannot wait there over a hour. So as if it wasn't bad enough I've had to suffer with the eczema on my hands I also wasted my time thinking they would assist me . Lol sadly all they needed to do was renew my prescription nothing has changed at all. I will now be heading to vacation in extreme pain. I won't be going back . If you're in search of an authentic review of Peach Dermatology, I wanted to openly share my experience. It's important to note that the clinic encourages positive Google reviews by offering free goody bags, which prompted me to provide this honest feedback in the hope of helping others avoid the same mistake I made in choosing Peach. Like many others, I was initially attracted to Peach based on the overwhelmingly positive Google reviews but left feeling disregarded and judged as a patient. My interaction with Dr. Waqas R. Shaikh was extremely negative as he made judgmental and rude remarks during my visit. Being a self-pay patient with no insurance and preparing to go on an extremely strong medication for my skin concerns for the first time, I had many questions regarding the medication along with pricing. During my multiple visits there, he would make negative remarks about me asking "too" many questions. He even mentioned that I should just "trust him as a doctor like I would trust my CPA," to which I told him, "I can trust my CPA and still have questions." I had to tell him multiple times that I think it's better to be overprepared than underprepared, something I never found myself having to explain to a doctor. In addition to the horrible chairside manners, Dr. Waqas R. Shaikh lacks communication skills. He would barely explain any information (which is what prompted me to ask many questions to begin with) and told me to just read the handbook. I'm paying over $200 for less than 30 minutes of his time out of my own pocket; at the very least, I expected him to thoroughly explain the process of my visits. He also doesn't seem very aligned with his staff in communication, as I had a nurse ask me why I was even here during my second visit. All in all, if you're looking for a dermatologist who is communicative and makes you feel comfortable, Dr. Waqas R. Shaikh at Peach Dermatology is probably not the best option. I tried sticking it out and giving him the benefit of the doubt, but after more and more issues with remarks and communication, I found it best to cut my losses and find a dermatologist who makes me feel fully comfortable at every visit.
