I typically don't trust or believe companies that seem to focus on being "discount". I've driven by Georgia Floors Direct hundreds of times, and always appreciated the huge flag, and the fact that the flag is always in good shape! Never ragged! I had a very small project.....patching a damaged area in my living room carpet. Stopped by, spoke to Tim (Manager) who referred me to John Wagner. We played phone tag for about a week, but finally connected, he came by and did the job impeccably for a fair price, and offered a discount when I am ready to replace the carpet! I don't usually give a business a 1 star rating unless they absolutely deserve it. We came in to buy hardwood or laminate to replace our dusty old carpeting in the master bedroom. We found a color and style that we liked and told the sale person. He wrote up a preliminary order and said we needed to contact the installer for measurements. I went home called the number the next day and it was not a working number. Then I called Georgia Floor, no answer in the middle of the day. I called the next day, the number was busy. Called back 4 times, still busy. Called the next day, no answer. Called 2 days later, no answer. After about 10 attempts, I went to Home Depot. I left multiple messages but none of them were answered. I don't know how this place stays in business read more

Wow - glad I decided to NOT use yelp reviews to help make my decision. My family and I are new to the southeast after moving from the southwest. We happened to come across the massive giant American flag knowing we wanted a non "big box" store to install our flooring. We were blessed to have Gabe working that day and WOW did that dude show me what southern hospitality and amazing customer service in the south was all about. Not only did he give me samples of LVP to take to my new house he also got me in contact with an amazing third party installer. The smoothest transaction with the most amazing customer service I have ever experienced. Trust me when I tell you the negative yelp reviews are just a microcosm of society in which only people who are unhappy take the time to review. This place is busy and blows quality and price of any other stores in the area out of water. Do yourself a favor. Go here, and go see Gabe. Guy is a class act and the quality is second to none. I got laminate flooring installed at my home by Joe Martin, whom installs flooring for Floors Direct in October 2020. In January or February of 2021, I noticed that the boarding was detaching from the wall in some areas. I stopped by Floors Direct and spoke with the Tim (the manager) and showed him pictures. He stated to call Mr. Martin and make him aware. I was hesitant to call because I know he rarely return calls and his mailbox is always full. Nevertheless, I called and no answer. I also texted pictures and explained my concerned. Over a month later, still no call. I reengaged Tim and updated him on what occurred. His respond was to be honest, the installer job is not attaching the boards and painting. I explained to him that he is not a painter and wasn't hired to paint and I was aware that painting was not included in the install. However, it was his job to place the boarding back which is now detaching. He stated that he would give me $100 to get it fixed. I agreed because at this point I was tired of the back and forth. Tim stated to call him in 15 minutes. I left the store and I called him back 30 minutes later. I explained to him that I would whether have someone to fix this mishap rather than the money. Tim stated that he would find someone to fix it and someone would contact me by Wednesday if not for me to contact him. As usual, no one contacted me back. I actually didn't reengage him until Saturday when I went to the store. I spoke to Gabe; I was told that Tim doesn't work on the weekend. Gabe wanted to know if he could assist me. I explained the situation. Game stated that he would speak with Tim on Monday to get the problem taking care of and he would call me back. Gabe called me on 10 May about 1130. He stated that Mr. Martin would be contacting me within the next 30-45 minutes and he would call Mr. Martian to remind him to call me. Of course, I didn't receive a call. I called back to the store on Tuesday 11 May to speak with Gabe and was told that he was off and would be back in the store on Wednesday 12 May at 1000. I called the store and left my name and call back number because Gabe was on the phone speaking with a customer. Hours later, still no return phone call. read more

My husband and I came in and was helped by a guy named Gabe. He quickly gave the impression that we were an inconvenience to him. I explained to him we just needed carpet for one of our properties. I gave him the number of stairs and he told us we would need a 12X20 roll. This seemed insane to me but I'm not the professional. We found a carpet we lovedddd within ten minutes so we were happy. I planned on having them also install the carpet just to make things easier so I made sure to ask roughly how much it would be for the stairs to be done. Gabe gave me a ballpark figure of around $100. We go to the check out and I'm prepared to pay for it all when Gabe tells me he would need to send his installer out, John W., for measurements before we pay but he would place a $100 hold to secure our carpet. That was great so we did. It was up to us as the customers to contact John, the installer, and set up an apt. So I made sure to contact him right away. He was very easy to work with as far as scheduling goes. Aka he's ok with texting which works great with me. He comes out and gives us the actual measurements we need 12X9.. no where near 12X20 but ok... let's move on as the shady stuff progresses. John gave me a quote for $250 for 15 stairs.. right away this seems pretty high to me especially when you have stores like Home Depot and Lowe's offering free installation. I get a call from Gabe a few days later telling me the hold for our carpet never went through... I see the hold on my end but he doesn't on his so I tell him I can see the charge and he reassures me he will figure it out and we hang up with a resolution I imagined. He also advised me that John said we needed 12x9 but due to the carpet having a pattern John and the company would suggest buying 12x10 minimum.. very confusing what do I need 9 or 10? December 27. I call Georgia flooring direct and place the order / pay for the full purchase. The padding and the 12X9 carpet and bam we are done! I'm happy they are happy all is well right. Yeah no.. I get a call later that day letting me know they sold all of that carpet that I put a hold on... so either they sold my carpet or Gabe didn't actually resolve any situation. Either way the call is saying I'm screwed. I'm freaking out because I though we had our carpet weeks ago when we put the hold down. Now I'm being told on the 27th that's false and I have to open my bnb on the 1st.. so I NEED carpet. Today, the 28th I go in and explain to one of the two men standing up front the situation and they "vaguely know what I'm referring to". I simply ask if there's anything similar of pattern or color around the same price. The one guy who decided to help me starts walking and just says well I don't know.. umm ok. So I walk the store up and down with my dad trying to find something.. anything.. I don't have a choice. With no help of the employees I find something. Nothing I loved like the first carpet sadly but The selection was limited with the color scheme and price point I was working with. I go to the register and before he swiped my card I asked him how much carpet and how much padding is he charging me for. He said 12x10 for both.. immediately I stop him. John, their so-called professional installer said I only need 12 x 9 for carpet. As far as padding goes basic assumption would say that I would need half of that amount as padding only goes on the top of the stair not front. The guy ringing me up was completely confused by my question. He decided to call John and ask him what amount of material he needs. John reassures 12x9 but on both.. so again with him on the phone I express my confusion. If padding only is installed on part of the stair which would be where you step on not where you kick your foot why would I need the exact same amount of material..?! That is half if not less than the carpet being installed.. so hearing me ask that John says "well we can do 12X7"#Shady I let him swipe my card and I ask him if there's any leftover material can I return it as you would imagine the answer was no. This business is being ran, from a consumer standpoint, extremely crooked. First of all they have an installer that doesn't actually work with them so I have to pay them and then I have to pay the installer separately. The installer is just willy-nilly giving estimates and from the sounds of it wasting materials on customers dime to make his job easier. Their employees are extremely unhelpful, rude, need more training... I picked out the perfect carpet that me and my husband both loved we did the right thing by putting a hold on the carpet and Gabe messed up so we had to deal with the aftermath. They didn't even offer an apology or offer something as simple as hey if you find something that you like we can try and get the price as low as possible to match your original price since we messed up but no I had to search through tons of carpet none of which I liked, swallow my pride and make the purchase. read more

It really says a lot about the kind of experience you will have when you enter an establishment, the employees at the counter look at you and one of them says to the other, "you're gonna wait on those two?" and snickers like a brain-dead idiot. I immediately caught the eye of the freak who spewed the ignorant statement and we held eye contact long enough for him to know that I heard him, and long enough for him to understand what his ignorance meant for him, me, and the place of business he represents. I didn't leave my comfortable home to come out in the hard-pouring rain for majorly unprofessional, sh*t- eating grin, good ol' boy business as usual bull crap. But because i love my husband, i tolerated the very few minutes we spent in the store with the designated loser chosen to "deal" with us. If you represent a population of people who represent what they are not "used to" (use your imagination), don't waste your time or money because you will most assuredly not be made to feel welcomed. I asked my Beloved for the business card that was given to him, crumbled it up, and threw right there in the parking lot. We work too hard for our money to pay for extremely poor customer service, even if you would call it that. My wife and I walked in and immediately got help to select our tile and was told it was in stock. The salesman asked about thickness of grout lines and we decided on as thin as possible. Ended up having to wait 2 weeks for installation. After installer pulled up the carpet and prepped the flooring we were told that our tile wasn't in stock and had to be brought in from another location, adding another day onto the job. I spoke to the manager and was told that there had been an inventory error. After almost 3/4 of the tile was set I asked about the thin grout lines and he said this is the thinnest they could be. Which I found out later was a lie. They were about double the thickness that they should of been. The installer didn't want to pull up the tile and redo the work. Later once the job was complete we realized that the request for thin grout lines wasn't on the purchase order. During the installation it rained and so they moved into my garage (without asking) and left dust everywhere in the garage and then tracked into my house. After they finished the job they rinsed off their equipment into our yard and shrubbery. I would say that the tile job looks fine but it wasn't what we wanted. Cleaning up all the dust from our house and from our landscape wasn't in the purchase agreement. Please look for another business before using this place because we certainly wish we did. read more
