    This is so disheartening to write because our experience in February 2021 with Georgia Home Movers was fantastic (I left a 5 star Google review still posted). I hired a move for a two bed/two bath apartment with storage garage. I was given the recommendation by the company's over the phone estimate of three movers with a 26 foot truck which I accepted. When the movers arrived, the Foreman immediately told me this move was too big for 1 truck. While he was correct and I did order a second truck for a few days later, the Foreman complained the entire time. "This is a lot of stuff" and so forth. We felt judged about the possessions we own. Fast forward to the second move needed. The Foreman complained even more. He called me prior to arriving saying condescendingly "do you all have everything packed?". He then arrived into the apartment saying "this is more stuff than I remember". He then rushed the pack and left multiple items at the apartment such as a ladder, vacuum cleaner, and packed clothes. I was forced to rush & grab some remaining items and run to my car so I could arrive at our new house prior to the team's arrival. I then had to come back on my own the next day to grab all remaining items. The unpack also was not done for the second truck as multiple pieces of furniture were left unassembled and not handled with care. Packing materials were also left behind at our prior residence. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because the other movers, non Foreman, were friendly and worked well. My suggestion for Georgia Home Movers is to embrace a more customer focused mentality, people are paying good money to move. I understand being a mover is a tough & strenuous job, but a negative attitude by the moving company makes a move so much more stressful for customers than it already is. Also, do a more thorough pre-move assessment to determine the exact move size needed. The general assessment currently is not detailed enough for data points such as square footage and items owned which is why we had to hire a second truck at a later date.

    First of all, Julian, Mike Neil, and Erin were FANTASTIC movers. The utmost care was given to our furniture and belongings. They asked where things needed to be when they were unsure. I never once worried about my stuff during this move, and that's the first time that's ever happened. Having moved 10+ times in my life, I was on guard, but the moment I met these guys, I was put at ease. The company was easy to work with, and very affordable. Roman (who took my calls) was polite and kind and worked with me through several adjustments to date and needs. I recommend them highly!

    Requested a quote from this company and Steven responded. I asked for a flat rate price with 4 movers and he quoted me $800 via text. I asked him to send me a confirmation email with the quote before I booked. When he sent me the email the flat rate changed from $800 to $1000. I asked him to fix the error and resend and he never responded. Sounds like a good ol' bait and switch to me. That's why always get things in writing! Update: I am going to edit my review to respond to Kelly's response to my review. Steven asked me to call the office to complete the booking as shown below in the review. Steven also provided me with the flat rate. I'll also show the number so you can see I received texts from this company. Kelly's response shows the shadiness of the company.

    Moving team arrived on time and got everything moved from one house to the other. The actual work was great. However, upon going back to the old house to clean up for the next person I discovered damage to walls and trim beyond a few bumps and such. I reported damage to the manager and was told I would get a call back after he speaks to the team and never heard back. It was definitely frustrating to have to fix the walls and such after the work was completed. ***EDIT - a member from the claims department called and actually listened to what happened and offered a partial refund for the damage made to my house. They also offered to send someone out to the house to make the repairs for us.

    I used these guys twice to move a ton of super heavy, super fragile (and valuable) vintage records - tens of thousands of them. Roman was careful to book my jobs with a lot of attention to detail, so I knew exactly what was coming. The crews were both top notch: they handled my stuff like it was their own, and did the job in less time than we estimated, both times. Excellent service and care from start to finish - I would happily book Georgia Home Movers again, any time I need professional movers I can trust 100%. I got truly great value for my nominal investment with them, both times.

    UPDATE: "Vladimir" contacted us and blames us for everything. He claimed that we didn't provide any packing materials (blankets, etc.). We provided over $1,000 in heavy duty blankets (over 200-blankets), many of which weren't used. We provided bubble wrap, paper, etc. Vladimir was very disrespectful and condescending. AVOID THIS BUSINESS! We rated Georgia Home Movers (GHM) 5-stars in May 2022. Unfortunately, our unloading experience then was a vast difference than our recent loading experience. First of all, our quoted rate was based on a crew of 5, where at least 1 or 2 showed up an hour or so after the start time. Secondly, the crew was unable to fit the same amount of household goods we had moving in as we did moving out - same size trailer (U-Pack). The trailer wasn't packed tight for transport and several feet of overhead wasn't maximized by the crew either. We requested that the load be secured by section, but the crew ignored us. It was a hot day, so we provided plenty of Gatorade and water. The crew left us with empty plastic bottles all over the exterior and interior of the house - even on the street. The little area we had carpeted in the house was left stained and multiple areas of the house had gouges, scratches, etc. The crew didn't want to be here - they kept on mentioning having to leave for an out-of-state job. Our household goods (including antiques, collectibles and everyday items) were completely destroyed as a result of how the trailer was packed and items shifting. The moving crew on the opposite end were shocked of how the items were loaded onto the trailer - sections were not secured, boxes were already crushed while being loaded and at the end when items could not longer fit in the trailer, items were being thrown carelessly on top. The best part was when they claimed that the trailer was full, left with multiple items in the middle of our driveway and left. Yet, we were still generous and tipped over 30%. We definitely wouldn't recommend based on our experience this second time around. We spent and provided over $1,000 thick moving blankets (many of which weren't used by the crew) and additional supplies (bubble wrap, shrink wrap, etc.).

    UPDATE: I got in contact with the claims department and a full refund of moving costs was provided. On the positive side, the movers arrived on time, were friendly, and moved quickly. I initially considered the move a success until I tried to turn on my television and realized it was no longer working as the front panel had been damaged. When you call the company, you are directed to submit all claims via e-mail which is fine. However it has been 4 days since I submitted the claim and have not received any confirmation of receipt or other communication. This is really disappointing because my actual move experience was positive. I would not recommend using this company if your move includes any large electronics. If I had known this in advance, I would have found other means to transport my TVs.

Wear your walking shoes & if you are someone who needs breaks now & again know there is a big cafeteria for you to relax. I see folks sitting in the staged rooms as well. I guess OK?! I'll share pics. The kitchen & home decor is downstairs with the furniture & purchase kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms is upstairs. Even a staffed playroom for children- check them in, shop, pick them up. I guess the costs are still good. Inflation happened, no doubt. I don't see the selections I used to, just over stocked with the same items to fill spaces. You need to experience this yourself. A big parking deck isn't too hard to navigate. Very large vehicles may be tricky, so if you can drive a smaller car or maybe park outside of the desk is a good option.

Today we had 8 pieces falafel with garlic dressing on couscous $4.99. Not bad. However, my first choice was Salmon salad plate. It had slice of raw salmon, lettuce and potato salad on it. They only had two plates, and I missed it because I let people go ahead of me on line. This was 11:15 am. When I asked for more , I was told that they didn't have enough employees to prepare more. So sad! I will always support IKEA but I'm not so impressed with the cafeteria anymore.

    Bob's Upholstery has been my go-to place for fabric, fringe and upholstery services for over a…read moredecade, and not once have I ever been disappointed. I can be pretty picky, and since sewing and upholstery have been a hobby for decades, I know the difference in excellent quality materials and workmanship versus so-so. (Do not confuse them with Bob's Furniture, as they are a complete different business with no connection to Bob's Upholstery.) This is a three generation business, which was started in Marietta in 1960, and their experience and dedication to their customers is evident. Shawna and her sister and daughter have always been delightful and helpful, and kind enough to fix some things that I goofed up (or purchased poor quality at a place a few doors down from their location). They never cut corners on quality, zippers on cushions and pillows are perfectly completed, and they never over or under stuff. You will definitely see the quality here. I've seen them be extremely patient and courteous with less than delightful customers, so that makes my shopping experience more pleasant. I have recommended them to at least six friends who are also happy with their services and products, and one friend drives over from Alpharetta every time she needs something. Bob's Upholstery is moving in a few months so they need to reduce inventory, so now is the time to snag some great bargains!

We worked with a representative named Taylor who mentioned he was new, but the level of customer service we received was unacceptable. After making changes to our order changes that were clearly discussed an extra cabinet was sent by mistake. We also never received any layout instructions or dimensions for our contractor. We had to call multiple times before Taylor realized they had not been sent and finally emailed them. Additional items were added to our order without clear explanation, resulting in unexpected extra costs. The island was sent larger than ordered, and we were charged for it. Instead of receiving our sink, we received a box full of laminated flooring samples, which delayed our countertop measurements and installation. We were told we would be notified the moment the sink arrived to avoid further delays, but no one reached out. I called to follow up and was told it had already arrived. I ended up picking it up myself to prevent my contractor from being delayed even further. When I called to express my concerns, I was told the only compensation offered would be a $50 discount. Due to these delays, my contractor is still unable to complete my backsplash installation. On top of everything, the store refused to take back the unnecessary extra cabinet because my contractor assembled it despite the fact that it was sent due to their mistake. I truly dislike leaving negative reviews, but this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had with any store. I will also be contacting your corporate office regarding this matter.

She missed items on order and told us that something things could be taken off when in fact after the installer came he had to tell her to order what she said we could take off. She does not understand the product she is selling. When doing the plans she did not center the sink cabinet under the window. This is something we did not see at first, but this is her job. They then sent us the most incompetent installers that did not know what they were doing and damaged a wall and our new hardwood flooring. Cabinets had to moved several times because of their incompetence. Neither L... or Cabinets To Go is taking any responsibility for the disappointment, frustration and anger that we have had to experience. Stay away from this store. I did a review on the BBB and saw that they have numerous complaints and have a "F" rating.
